Hey man, glad to see you putting in effort to restore your 05 to former glory. I have the same and care for it meticulously. Incase you havent had an opportunity to dial in suspension settings im gonna toss both factory (F) and my own (M) in for you to try out. Factory recommended settings are for riders who are 160lbs. All settings are from 'full hard' (all the way to the right or clockwise). Front: Preload: big nut on top of fork (labeled with H and S) (F) - 11 turns out (M) - same Rebound: small flathead screw inside preload adjuster. (F) - 2.5 out (M) - same Compression: small screw at the bottom of each fork leg. (F) - 2.5 out (M) - 2 out Rear shock. Preload: collar at bottom of shock...looks like a stepped nut to add tension. This is measured in positions 0-10. (F) - 4th position (M) - 6th position Rebound: little flathead screw at bottom by preload (F) - 2.5 out (M) .75 out Compression: flathead screw near the top (F) - 12 out (M) 11 out If nothing else theae will make sure youre in the ballpark incase the settings were messed with previously. Be safe out to there.
Thank you for the help, I probably will adjust it, I accidentally messed with those settings in trying to take it apart and I don’t know what any previous owners did so although it rides smooth I’ll probably adjust the settings to how they should be
hey man have a quick question what is the part that goes under the rear seat?, i bought a bike and i can see straight through the whole thing, looks like i am missing a plate
Under the seat is a plastic part that holds a relay, the battery, and you can see it from under the rear fender. If you can find a replacement one, you should be fine making one out of sheet metal or something similar, I would just make sure all wires, and the battery are protected and covered from the rear wheel well
@@Jager_Mit could be the tensioner. Known for these bikes / year. I bought the same yr bike and it too needed tons of parts replaced. One was the tensioner. I bought the adjustable CCT and the sound went away

What flush mount turn signals did you use?
Just Amazon ones, I just make sure they say they are compatible with a 2005 cbr600rr
Heard a little chatter on the last start up at the end there. May want to look into adjusting the valves. Nice bike 👍🏼
Yeah either that or the timing chain tensioner, I’ll do more research but it does that on cold starts and is louder the colder it is
Beast bike. :)
Riding season is almost upon us MinneSNOWta brutha’s! Bike is looking and sounding phenomenal
