- This took so long to do and I got to say, I regret nothing. This game is just so much fun to play and you can do so much random stuff and get lost in it for hours. I can't wait for the new game to come out so I can grind that as well!

I would recommend buying the miniaturizer upgrade on your corals. It makes the largo slimes as small as a regular one that way you can get even more gold per coral!

I'd highly recommend trying to feed slimes their "favorite" foods; largos can eat the favorite food of either of their component slimes. When a slime eats its favorite food, it produces *double* the plorts it would otherwise. So if you gave your Gold Rock largos the rock slimes' favorite food, you'd get 2 gold and 2 rock plorts each instead of 1.
To add to this, rock slimes favourites are heart beets, easy to find them in the rock area. Crystals are odd onions, but they're annoying to farm, since the crop will mostly be carrots with a few onions mixed in.
Skip the formalities go to the ravine and farm gilded ginger or the gold slimes favorite food

In an unmodded game, yes. In a modded game, there is a mod to make the Prices Static, so they don't go up or down. Tho I doubt he has that mod.

In a regular unmodded run you crash *every* plort market and move on to farm the next plort. Prices technically recover, but it goes very very slowly.

You can set up drones from the lab to automatically collect gold plorts from the plort collectors and automatically pump them into your silos and another drone to sell the rock plorts
that really helped me lol
i dont think he is that far already, i personally set up a semi auto farm with advanced drones where i only have to refill water
If you really want to stress the game engine, fill your cave with strawberries and phosphor slimes, no corrals, you can fit a surprisingly large number in there before you start to take a performance hit.
Mine is full of honey phosphors eatin mint fruits (think thats the food name at least) and yeah, i only stopped addin more into there bcuz it became hard to move around in there; still not even a noticeable FPS hit tho
The only downside to it is that its rly hard to pick everythin up bcuz i pick up largos constantly and it stops my vacuum; i need whatever DF uses that lets him suck up largos, i preusme a mod
Tho i do mamage to make it work prty well by just facin directly down and vacuumin up and then for the most part it wont hit the largos but still sometimes does it
You bought the plort protector, which keeps slimes from eating plorts, so no golden slimes if you buy it before they eat the gold.
You can actually use it to keep a mix of slimes in the same cage, since they won't eat a third plort and become a tar slime.
..no? It doesn't prevent them from eating plort. They lay around for less time but they still can take a bite into it while the plot are on the ground / being collected

I rly wish i cud get a modlist for all the mods DF is runnin with this game... It honestly looks like an even better exp than im havin in the base game rn but im nvr gonna have the time to deep delve and find them all
Few tips for ya!
Take more advantage of favorite foods to get double plorts
Solar Shield can make it so phosphor slimes can be outside, or you can make a corral in the cave area
Get the lab area and you can get drones to do things for you
There's a cave where you can do these around the open there's an upgrade that allows the location act like and it's night constantly to keep them from despawning then again it's probably changed that's what I remember from early in the first game series you could be in the second slime rancher two for all I know

I did something similar to this with mods, I just put a gold slime into a corral that had a bunch of carrots and fruits on the ground and watched the plorts rain down. It kept shooting through the air net though, it was bouncing so quickly lol

Give the rock largos heart beets they’ll give you double (as in 2 rock plorts and 2 gold plorts at least they should your mods might change that) also there is an upgrade for you to have phosphor slime in corrals during the day you can also keep them in the grotto without the upgrade

I remember he used to on his old modded videos unless they were mods made specifically for him (which even those he later released with the mod creators permission)
You could spend some hours of your life looking for a gilded ginger in the desert. They make the gold slimes drop 5 plorts instead of just 1 for normal food or 2 for favorite foods. With mods you can probably grow them in gardens so you would really just need find one. Also with the rewards club you can get some pretty useful stuff, like carry 100 things in each slot instead of 50
he has to get to level 20 for that, even with the money he makes it will take quiet long to farm the money (291,500) needed
I would recommend feeding the Gold/Rock largo’s Heartbeets because it’s the Rock Slimes favourite food meaning they drop 2 of each plort when eating one.

There's a guide on steam that is very informative, and there's only so many mods. If you scroll through them you should find them all
If you upgrade a corral to *”have solar”* shield it allows for phosphor slime to live in it
*edit:* You can also use bee drones to collect gold plorts and deliver them to silos they are gotten from the lab quest I’d say to research them to fully understand them

Feed a largo the favorite food of one of its component slimes and they produce double the plorts eg: 4 plorts per largo. Example: Phosphorus like fruits but their favorite are cuberries. Your slimepedia can tell you the favorite food of a slime. or google, whichever.

Probably a bit late, but you should think about what food you are giving the slimes. Rock slimes love Heart Beets. So if you start feeding them to the gold/rock largos then each will drop 2 gold and 2 rock plorts.

In my unmodded game I spread a lot of saber-diamond largos and just filled the plots with silver parsnips. I made huge profit because I didn’t need to consider space and the bounce around the field! Also listen to others about the drones. They helped me get the plorts sorted from the parsnips into a silo and then you can wait on a high price in the market!

You COULD crossbreed them to eat anything or make a full on money making slime by crossing it with the endgame slimes, getting to it with the jetpack should be easy, getting back.... better have a teleport ready 🗿

If you want to keep the phosphor slimes in the cage then you should buy the solar shield upgrade on the cage.
1) miniaturizers everywhere. (they also make plorts, and veggies small) 2) Heartbeats are rocks fav veggie, and your assumption was correct, largos creat double plorts just like normal slimes. 3) the plort protector will stop slimes from eating the plorts in the corral and lets you mix largos.
i used that mod before, and you can combine sapphire and gold slime, and also if you read the ore slimes (sapphire, diamond, emerald) mod decription, you can see the recipes for the other slimes, beacuse you have to "craft" them

Highly recommend just using normal gold slimes as the don’t eat and pop out plorts everytime they touch food, just put a bunch of carrots in the corral and the slimes will constantly produce plorts, might need to watch the skynet though
Just be warned you might get thousands of plorts in just a minute so it might get laggy💀

if you look at the slimepedia, there are foods that some slimes favor, which when you feed a rock slime a heart beet, it will give you two rock plorts. If it is a gold rock largo, it will give you two rock plorts and two gold plorts.

i advise you to find heart beet thats the favorite of rock slimes so that means those golden rock largo slimes will produce twice the gold and rock plort than 1
If you keep using rock slimes as your gold largos, you should look for a heart beet. As rock slimes(including largos) produce double pliers. Meaning you get 2 gold and rock plorts per each one eaten

If I'm not mistaken you should fund some heart beets and grow them your rock slices will produce double gold and rock plorts. Again heart beets and check your slimepedia for info on that as well.
If you grow heart beets in their corral instead, the rock-gold slimes will produce twice as many plorts because heart beets are the rock slimes favorite food.
Afair the largos still have the same rules as regular slimes in terms of feeding with their favorite food for double drop it depends on what type of slime they are and will drop double of said slime drop.
