Nicely done! I like the intro animation to your video. The game's title font definitely screams, "The 80s!". I grew up in that time, and I remember seeing a lot of things back then visually imitating the 40s and 50s.
That flame that roared across the screen occurred when you placed three of those flame blocks adjacent to one another. I imagine that the clock blocks would freeze the enemies in place, but not sure about the others. (Yes, I know that I made a potential funny in my last sentence, thanks.)
Fly in a lab coat? It can only be Jeff Goldblum...or maybe Baxter Stockman. Also don’t feel bad, I’ve played the NES marble madness since it came out and I didn’t know it was an arcade port till this year either.

I’ve found this game in a few game centers in japan running a 100 in one kind of setup! 16 bit arcade games on RGB are just the best. So much bright color. Like this one
Capcom also released a game with the same concept as well i remember playing it alot when i was younger at this local video store, but it also came in a multicade cabinet with 2 others as "3 wonders" that cabinet was amazing you should give it a try on a play through sometime Erin. Kitten Caboodle isn’t ringing a bell but I wouldn’t be surprised if there was something like that! All I can think of are Caboodles. Those make up/trinket boxes from the 80s/90s (that I totally want now.)

There are many video games with cats. Bubsy, Eek the Cat, Felix, NintenDogs/Cats, Blinx, Garfield, The Lion King.... and that's just off the top of my head.

There is a new Rainbow Brite game coming out for the new Coleco Evolved mini Arcades. I don't know when they're for sale at general retail, i pledged for mine on kickstarter. hopefully sometime early next year.

The Strawberry Shortcake game is hilarious. It relies on music but the 2600 can't do a proper scale. The Purple pieman song is especially obtuse for a kid's game.

This game is a take off the concept of the arcade game Pengo. I wondered if the blinking means for a short time you are invincible but I could be wrong.

Sounds like an interesting game. I'm not too familiar with puzzle games. The only puzzle game I may be more attracted to is Tetris. I know you have a lot in common on these games. And so do I. Later Gamer!

Erin Plays Yeah, Clash at Demonhead is a great game but if you’ve never tried it, I recommend you’d not play it blind,as you need prior knowledge to get halfway through the game.
