I only lived here two years in my youth but spent many summers with the grandparents who lived here. Belle Harbor is an awesome place with great people. 🏄♀️🏄♂️
That me. This all started with buddy sammis, Owen Casper, Jimmy tasks, Henry Miller.
My old hang out and a former boyfriend lived there back in the 80 -90's

Long gone are the days of nor'easters at 92nd Street. 1 guy on boardwalk protecting the car while 3 guys surfed. Last time I surfed Rockaway there were 50 people in the water. Total shit show. RIP Rockaway. It's a hipster's delight now.
I began surfing there in the late '70's at Beach 38th street, which used to have a plaque going up the boardwalk. It is true about the crime there. One occasion, my buddy and I had a session and when we came back to the car (1960 Ford Falcon Station Wagon) a homeless guy was rifling through it. He didn't take our 8 track player, or the tools in the back. All he took was our clothes and he saw us coming and he thanked us for them. At the time Beach 38th street was a desolate, dangerous place out of the water. We told him "you're welcome" and then went for a beer at the bar that was in some basement on the west side of the road that the Cross Bay Bridge exited on. I wonder if it is still there? Same thing at Long Beach, just to the east. We'd surf, then have beers at "Pappy's" a complete dive on the boardwalk.
WHOLE LOTTA TALKING NO SURFING
The fact that bill the mayor watched this and still won’t clean up the beaches waste and stuff is shocking
Too many people falling all over each other there
same thing happens in New Jersey hundreds of kooks come to surf all winter now. Used to be no one in the winter, now its all blown up.
Kind of surreal how unlikable the host is.
I think you’re just projecting
Born raised and surf in Rockaway
Know none of these “rebels” or locals!! Lol posers
facts! expose them
@@ba7260 but he has more internet points than you bro.
All kooks not one decent surfer among them
..... literally california surfers pay respect to east coast surfers all the time lmao
@@kindkidbk I'm sure there are heaps of decent East Coast surfers none in this video though
I am sure there is a couple of decent American surfers out there with rubber boards and inflatable sharks. Australia 🇦🇺. Just joshing. I do admire those riders freezing their underparts off.
