I could never understand why the Govt. gave scholarships to student without a precondition that after the student completed their course, they hv to serve the nation for 3 yrs to repay the fees n amenities provided to them. The subsidy/scholarship given by Govt. is People's money and these People hv a right to seek compensation since their sponsored students are flying away without giving back anything to the parent country. 🤔

Rajeevji excellent thoughts. I want to have a discussion with you. The actual problem India faces is multifaceted. The East India analogy is good but it is more monetary today than physical. Jobs in India are not being created to serve the interests of Indian society anymore either. The success of tbe IT industry is resulting in an overvaluation of all aspects of life in India. This is high inflation. Devaluing the rupee further and further will lead to more issues. Finally we will need to control our population. We have to contain the population at around 1 billion. And it is not going to be only A&I. It is going to be a mix of multiple things like data, IOT, renewables etc

Hence we need good people to run this country for next 15 years fully well and you are free to call it Democracy only - Please think -- There are 1500 political parties in India .. 50 family based political parties .. Very True . India lacks vision and long term goal. Indians must forgo individual goals and success and contribute collectively as a Nation. This is only possible when we have strong leadership at the centre.

Sundar Pichai having made a huge fortune for himself can now come back and help india on these areas. Unfortunately indians are least patriotic, why blame George Soros.

Dear Rajiv/Ranveer, Its a very important and necessary discussion taking place in this video. I must confess I have watched only about 40 minutes before commenting. It's a bit like dreams vs reality and perhaps does not offer a roadmap on how we bridge this gap except for "we should do this rather than that.." East India Company, Google, FB, Twitter, MSFT our governments and politicians, businessmen have something in common, they are driven by greed and need for personal gain. They are fundamentally unethical in their methods to achieve it.
    Thus comes the questions,
    1. Should we also join the rat race as aggressively as the best of best?
    2. Will the coming future, I believe an era where resources like energy, food, water, clean air etc. will begin to run out, need more of this greed and unethical tactics? One thing which Mr. Malhotra didn't touch on was the current monetary system which allows certain countries to print paper and be able to get resources from other countries for practically free ( US, UK n EU). China got this ability too by amassing trillions of USD ( a clear work plan, rather than we should do this etc.), which they did by putting their population to menial industrial jobs at low cost/low skill for 20 years and slowly build up capacity and skills to compete at international level in advance production/technology areas. In short, US/EU have an unique advantage from USD being the global currency and China as a totalitarian regime used 20 years of low labour arbitrage to gain practical skills and infrastructure to be competitive.
Still given that humanity heads toward a world of depleting resources which cannot be printed or gamed, I am not sure if the strategies of past will work in the future for India? The fundamental issues in my opinion are
    1. Human world from US, UK, EU, China, India and rest is rampant with corruption and greed.
    2. For India and rest of the world to be able to survive (forget about domination for a minute), we need to move to a new way of thinking and living rather than try and do more of what has gotten us to this point? Do we as human need to move to a higher level of consciousness? How? Or do you feel the nature/God is about to do this for us?
    3. Lastly AI like any other tool is a double edged sword, it can save us or destroy us. Currently it is welded by what I consider as dark forces.

Visionaries are present. However, it is important to actually get the masses behind this idea. If everyone is building something, they are contributing. They should also engage in social culture building, and everyone is a leader in his/her own right. The administration's only work is to remove barriers and let everyone grow to their maximum ability.
