Really fun to see that welder get excited about seeing Dougo. Made his day!
That really stuck out to me too, cool to see.
Indeed. I was watching that so much I quit listening to the tour!
American manufacturing and ingenuity at it's best
Nice painting they did of the founders. Amazing detail. That is the backbone of America.
Old mate at the shop was pretty pumped to meet Dougo
I’m an airline pilot but watching this video makes me wanna buy a MDS bucket for equipment I don’t own…
That pusher looks good in front of the 644H JD!
Thanks MDS for the tour and the Larson team for taking us along.
3:37 “one day I spent a lifetime…” awesome Dougo!😂
I can hear the fight over the Front End Loader/snow pusher now!
I really like the manufacturing tours. Great video keep up the great work guys!!!
I like these videos of them showing behind the scenes of how the things they use are made.
Solid little company.
Thank you. I like it when people say where they are.
Thanks for taking us along with y’all on tour of that plant, that was a lot of
Fun
For future reference Chet, you can reswipe the card again and it will give you another limit. Different stations have different limits. Another great factory tour thanks.
I hope Dougo didn't get sick it was hilarious c your love handle jiggle some 😁😁
This here semi-retired Mfg Eng has programmed more than one sheet of nested steel to be burned, punched and or bent in a facility, such as this one one its way to become a weldment, steel enclosure, electronic rack or some aircraft part. Love seeing these facilities. Great job! Brings back great memories!!!!!
FYI, When that happens when fueling, stop, shut off the pump, get your receipt, and start again. That will get you another 75 gallons.
Very cool. Thanks for taking us with. God bless.
Direct text ❤️⬆️⬆️
Love the plant tours
I was in the blue feed truck with yellow fenders W900 KW semi south of Mitchell SD on high way 37 when I saw your gray chevy going by👍👍👋👋.
Can't believe Dougo let the youngsters have the front seat.
You might need to get the Bank to clear larger amounts of pre-authorization.
Thanks for the tour, Chet! Nice of you to take time to show MDS patriarchs and family history! Love American quality. Enjoyed the video.
I thought we wouldn't get any more snow now this year. But boy were we wrong. Video is a few weeks old and a week ago we got a good snow. At least you get to test it out.
Thanks for another great video.
It was interesting and enjoyable.
Thanks for taking us along on the road trip to MDS. Most interesting place. They make really good equipment. That blade you got is a big one. That will push some snow. Wow.
The automated systems in that plant are amazing. Manufacturing is amazing now days. It was great to see the plant and how things are made.
Your new blade is great. Great addition to the payloader.
Your new truck and trailer are just right for hauling that blade. You will get a lot of use out of that trailer.
Thanks again to Chet and Dougo and Brody for taking us along.
The Iowa Farm Boy.
Great video. Love the manufacturing videos. Look forward to the next video.
Now it is going to snow since you purchased 12 foot pusher blade. Would like to see it in operation in the future. Nice video. Small businesses like MDS and family farms are the foundation of our country.
Great manufacturing video
What an awesome factory tour thanks for taking us along and that is a beast for pushing anything that’s for sure stay warm
Chet you are getting really good with your camera interviews!!
Good job guys.
GREAT tour of MDS... Very educational... I like the plant tours every-so-often...
When the pump shuts off at a predetermined amount. Just hang the nozzle up and start again. My duramax truck has a 34 gal tank. So if it's low on fuel, it take 2 pump starts to fill it.
Hey chaps, holy cow, seniority gets the comfy seats mate. Poor ole dougo, slave away to build an empire for your kids and you get the bench... lol. What a great man who took you around, awesome attitude and so great on camera, knows his company!
Keep up the great work mate from New Zealand.
12:08 shows the Larson's as good folks not letting youtube fame go to their head.
The Fuel Stop that was under construction was leveled last year and still under under construction. We drove by MDS yesterday did not see a historical marker there yet that Douggo was there!! hope you stopped at Dimmock and got some famous Dimmock cheese
When is Brody going to offer his apparel. Shirts, hats and hoodies with Brody's mug on them should be a thing. Let's go share the wealth with brother Brody.
That whole nested parts laser cutout process is fun. I wrote s/w to do the nesting of random planar shapes in my 2nd job out of college, it was gas flame cutting then - saved them HUGE money by optimizing the paths used in the gcode control of cutter head movements. We really saved $$ when we combined many different piece cuts of projected runs - drove down the "skeleton" as they called it in this one to about 6%. 40 years, sure is cool to see the laser speed. Probably still the same g-code moving it around, just different travel speeds... Nice new handling front for you guys ! Thanks for showing the company operations - MDS...
Powder doesn't like angles. That's why they are pounding it into all the corners. If you set the guns up right and your grounds on the line are really good you can cut back the waste. Used to run a powder shop
You guys were on the door step where my mom grow up.and where her folks are still today
Thanks for letting us tag along. Always neat to see factory tours
MDS makes great stuff and made right here in good ol' South Dakota!!
Thanks for taking us along!
we toured john deere in waterloo back in january, we have 4 new 8R getting made, so much fun to do and they treat you like royalty while your there, good video larson farms
Brody, ya know better than what ya done not letting dougo have the front seat. When you hit the early fifties, all the work ya did when you were younger catches up with, and if ya know, well you know. Thanks for an entertaining video fellas. G-d bless everyone.
I run a 14' pusher on a case 721 plowing several schools. You can move a lot of snow.
You need to go tour CNH’s plant in Fargo ND to see the quadtrac’s getting made, I use to weld there years back and if I remember right we were pumping out 20+ quads a day, it’s pretty impressive really
Thank you for the video Chet. Like when you do the tours like that
That's some amazing work...American Work !!!
Wow that's great...How do I get in touch with you ? Do you want my cell ?
Thanks for taking us along. I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS.
GOD BLESS YOU
🤣Where the heck is The Big Suede? Still basking in sunshine in the Hula Hula Girls state? That MDS Manufacturing Plant is awesome - thanks for sharing! These family owned businesses make America strong! 18 to 20 welders too! 27:16 Brody is a Larson Farms eskimo! We are also excited for the new 12 ft. snow pusher, 3600 pnds! ... let's get her going tomorrow! Use on snow, silage, dirt too.... and... wait for it.... manure from a dog named Toby? And just think, headed home with an old truck that now gives ya 60 more Horse Power! Oghta make it to the next rest stop? Keep praying for better urinary glands says Dougo...
I’ve always liked watching how things are made. I worked in a sheet metal shop after our dairy farming days were over where we fabricated duct work and all types custom sheet metal products. It was much different from what I was used to but I enjoyed it very much. Most of my time was spent installing the things that were made in our shop. This is a top of the line fabrication factory.
Nice snow pusher
Great tour of the MDS factory. Keeping it made in the USA ! Enjoyed it very much !
That was a really neat tour. All that equipment in that plant. And you guys brought a 12’ snow bucket home. Cool video. 👍❤️
Dougo, you brought the cheque book, you should get to choose the seating arrangements.
awesome video Chet. Glad y'all made it back safe. Thank you guys
dougo making friends wherever he goes distracting the employees
I have that same $75 problem! 9:20 Skeletons would make neat gates. MDS could have robotic carts touring their plant; sell tickets & lunches! More fun than Disney!
When the pump shuts off at a predetermined amount. Just hang the nozzle up and start again. My duramax truck has a 34 gal tank. So if it's low on fuel, it take 2 pump starts to fill it.
@@snakeman48 most of the fuel stations around here (middle TN) finally upped or removed the limit on the pumps. It was so annoying to have to reset at $75, then $100. I usually take ~$130 or so for my F250, 38 gal tank and now it lets me fill without stopping.
Thanks for the tour. I always enjoy it when you guys do them.
I revisited your channel thinking about Dougo "enjoying" the back seat. You see, we once rented a van to drive to San Antonio from Oklahoma. The expansion strips made a rhythmic "noise". The grandchildren started to breathe out slowly and they mimicked the same noise. It was a fun trip. By the way, I have used "Air Lifts". I was wondering if they are more durable than the GM airbags used on the suspension. You channel is interesting. Thank you. 😊
I have been missing the SWEDE now for a couple of videos. Hope he returns after vacation 😃😃🇸🇪🇸🇪
Could always put some bags on that rig. Help with the oscillating.
Nice tour and a nice bucket!
That was great Chet Dougo Broodie great explanations and bucket for dirt and snow MDS has great products.
The new bucket is much larger than the old one, I'm sure Dougo is going to have fun with it!
It's not a bucket!
How long will it take him to get the payloader stuck? I'm setting the over/under at 33 minutes.
OK, I guess a pusher...but I'm only a city boy.
Great video! Enjoyed the tour.
Thanks for taking us along for the tour boys👍👍pretty cool
That was a great Promo vlog forMDS - and an excellent tour of the plant and the quality of manufacturing - well done 🚜 🚜 🚜 🌽🌽🌽🌽🌽🚜 🚜 🚜
My first job out of the was working in a LARGE shipyard we built tankers and Navy repair ships I felt sorry for the production welders climbing into bottom voids and WELDERING then I went to a smaller shipyard where we built 1200 Ton Tuna seine net fishing boats as an electrician I installed stuff all over the ships the 2 welders I had assigned to me loved it moving and welding different stuff everyday they had to use skyhooks regularly lol
Great tour of MDS. Worked at a similar shop and brought back great memories. 👍
You guys pasted me on I90 when you were heading home. I pasted you on cliff ave in Sioux Falls. You went to the Peterbilt shop
Don't be spillin' their secrets...to the WORLD!!!...just sayin'...
Loved Dougo’s comment “ Where’s the electrical plug pump at!😂 and yeah boys ya gotta get ya a transfer tank for the ol durtymax
run card second time when pump shuts down like that 👍
Hey they make air ride kits for those trucks so they ride so much better highly Recommend air ride even front axle. Then she will ride like a couch on a cloud. Especially if it’s all spring ride currently.
You guys know how to do a product tour good questions and caring it shows!! Props!
A very good addition to the operation. It will make snow clearing go much quicker. Thanks for sharing this one with us.
They may have gotten to use it, too.
I love these factory tour some of the channels I'm subed to take us om.
Mike Dirt Perfect, Chris Letsdig18 and a couple others have.
All made in America products.
Several with Steel made in America as well.
Thanks to Larson Farms for the tour of another American factory making equipment you can rely on not to fall apart before the warrenty is up and decades after.
Ok so you have the rear air ride maybe the leveling valve has the rear to high meaning the bags are rock hard. But you can add air ride to the front for a sweet ride.
Brodie wear your seat belt. you're welcome, a grandma from NC
Guys excellent video , great of mds letting us all see the process loved it
WOW!!! That was GREAT!!! TY!!!
The straps on the blade would've been better to have gone through those squares & then fixed so as to pull front & back as well as down to completely secure it for transport. I'm not trying to critique you but you always learn better & easier ways of getting stuff done by listening to others. Great video & always good to see Dougo doing his thing. 👋
Reminds me a lot of the shop I work for. We make a lot of stuff for agriculture
I have a feeling we will be seeing the bucket in action with the massive snow storm ya'll got!
Lots of your followers wait for your videos on Sundays! When I opened it up, I was # 889 and when I closed, you had 2.3K likes! Have a great week and keep then coming. Not a lot of snow left in SE MN - south of Rochester. Rain later today.
I have a brand new MDS bucket setting at my JD dealer, waiting on a Westendorf loader that was supposed to be here a year ago.
Thanks for the great video
Waving a hand from texas
Totally awesome video. It's always cool hearing DougO's comments in the background, then you have Brody there as well commenting.
You should of taken Amy with you. She would cut that drive time down by a good 45 mins or more.
🚜🚜🚜
When i worked for bmi we use to bake potatoes in powder coat oven for our company suppers worked awesome
My X inlaws r from Clark SD. They r so proud of the Laura house crap. Great video 👍 👍
A good video to watch after getting home from a pecan conference and giving my input on newer equipment coming to the market soon for the needs I have between my own orchard or the custom jobs that I work on
Great video and back to work on chevy
Everything about MDS just oozes quality. Powder coating is tremendously expensive, and so much better than paint. The fact that they spent a fortune on a powder coating facility speaks volumes about how much they care about putting out true American quality.
I'd recommend the rubber cutting edge for snow, have been much happier with ours.
I wondered why you didn't use the wheel loader for snow. We had 4 that we used for snow. 3 with a large bucket that were made before couplers. Then a Cat with a coupler that we had a bucket, a set of forks, a sweeper and an extension boom. They could pile snow pretty high.
Never a dull moment with you all!!!. You guys should mount a fuel tank our mount a extra axillary tank on the hot rod
Great video Chet but poor Dougo is going to need a long soaking in a hot bath and a day to recoup. Lol
24 seconds after posting and im here !! Love larson farms
Interesting process
I seen Laura Ingalls Wilder in person here in my state Central Indiana at our little library she is very nice a sweet .
