I would never have thought about that! All your work is so VERY well done! I will certainly try this design to (hopefully) inspire myself. Usually, It requires 5 to 6 times the finished size. But because it is used by folding it in half, it actually needs 10 to 12 times. To measure the exact size of the rope you need, you can make one pattern and calculate the length of the rope reduced. I think you can add about 100cm more~~
