I made a macrame layered wall hanging
using basic knot and diamond pattern.
Some people say that this work
has short cords.
I make some changes!

Buenas tardes los cordones de 250 cm que son 2,5 mtrs al terminar de trenzarlos quedan extremadamente cortos, tienen que quedar así? Ningún codón me queda largo como queda en el video. Los cordones me quedan largos en los extremos pero hacia el centro del tapiz quedan todos cortos. Agradezco tu contestación. Gracias

I've finished this beautiful pattern today and love it. The repetitive movements felt like meditation, perfect to wind down at the end of a day. I still need to cut the fringes and am a little scared to mess up the look but with the tape and a new pair of scissors it should work.

This is so beautiful I already made two of this!! In the first one I use the exact measurements that you post at the video and I realized that I was wasting a bit of cord so in my second one I cut my cords a little shorter and it worked perfectly!!

If this is your first work, I don't recommend changing the size of the rope. You should use a longer wooden stick and longer cords. It is not easy to estimate the length of the rope used accurately. It depends on the thickness of the rope and the pattern used.

It depends on the thickness of the rope
and the pattern used.
Usually, It requires 5 to 6 times
the finished size.
But because it is used by folding it
in half, it actually needs 10 to 12 times.
To measure the exact size
of the rope you need,
you can make one pattern and
calculate the length of the rope reduced.

@@LETBE im confused a bit with the sizes of the cord. So you cut 250 cm of rope then fold it in half which will give you 125cm or do you cut the rope of 500cm then fold it in half so you get 250cm?
