    Amazing tutorial, love how you guide the knots every step of the way. It's like a bible of macrame. I have been at it for quite some time, but I love watching tutorials for inspiration on the next project. Watching some of the other tutorials I guess they assume that everyone should know everything and watching you take the time to point out every nuance of the wall hanging makes me realize there are people like you who really care about teaching and not just throwing another tutorial together. I commend you on a fantastic job. Thank you.

    Well the process to tie up the cords on the second part was very important to be teached on the tutorial for beginners. That was a missed process. And again missed on every next parts. It's different to the firsts cord because are 4 cords to tie. The tutorial is excellent, but this process was important to be shown. Thanks.

      Hi Wally! Thank you for the feedback. I apologize if that wasn't as clear as it could be. The start of the square knot and diamond sections are all attached with the lark's head knot. The start of the half hitch spiral sections are attached with the lark's head knot using only one end of the cord. There is an example of this in the first section (the semi-circle) of this video. The ends of each section are attached in pairs like I show at the end of section 2 (the first square knot section).

    Hi. I was going to work with 5mm 3 ply twisted cord, as this is what I have. I know I will need to add extra to the lengths that you have stated. Can you please let me know if you have any ideas how much extra I would need to add?
    Thanks

    • @interwovenstudio
      @interwovenstudio  2 года назад

      To change from 4mm to 5mm make the cord lengths 20% longer. You will likely have less diamonds because the 5mm willl be a bit bigger. Have fun with the project!

    I am completely new to macrame, and am wondering how I would go about making the entire wall hanging larger. How would I handle lengths of cords, number of cords, etc? (The wall I am intending to hang it on just wants a larger piece, I think.)

    • @interwovenstudio
      @interwovenstudio  Год назад

      You can make it bigger by using a thicker cord. For every 1mm increase in thickness I would increase the lengh by 20%. I also have a tutorial on how to calculate cord lengths for a more accurate way to figure the lengths you would need.

      Yes you can use 3mm cord. You will probably need a little less length, and you'll likely need to make more knots!!!

    Hello, I just tried the diamond pattern and I found I ran out of cord for the ones I used a dhhk. When starting the middle cords do they need to be shorter than the 2 outer cords? Outer cords longer? Thanks

    • @interwovenstudio
      @interwovenstudio  2 года назад +1

      Hi Natalie. I'm not sure why you ran out of cord, perhaps you are tying your cords looser than I do. I have a tutorial to add cord when you run out while doing the dhhk. I will post a link.

      The cream cord you will need 48 meters or 53 yards
      The dusty rose cord you will need 9 meters or 10 yards
      The grey cord you will need 11 meters or 12 yards
      Thank you for asking this question, I have added the total quantities in the description.

    wonderful, I would need you to enable the translation into Spanish, there are things that are not understood, such as the measurements of the strips, for example, the white one you say 2x 190 and then you say filler cord 50 and another cord of 110, I do not understand and as the tutorial is all in English, it is difficult for me, thanks, beautiful work

    • @interwovenstudio
      @interwovenstudio  Год назад

      Sorry I missed your comment somehow. In the tutorial it shows to take one 360 cm length to do one row of the double half hitch spiral. And in the description it says 2x360, 1 for each row. I'm not sure where you saw 4 x 360. I hope this clears it up for you.

      Hi Carly. The dowel I used is 19” or 48cm long. I use a clothing rack to hood up the dowel. When I first started out I would use the hook on the back of the door or the back of a chair. I hope that helps!
