In 1985 I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma at the age of 18. My tumor was between my heart and lung. It was stage 3. My chemo was ABVD for 3 months then my mom switched doctors. Loved my new doctor better. Then I had 6 months of MOPP. After I had 6 weeks of radiation. Today I’m now 57 and it has never came back.
my mother passed in 1980 of hodgkins. she was misdiagnosed. then i got it in 2023. i did av-bvd although most people still do the abvd and it’s effective. it’s sad that the same effective treatment was there for her and they missed it
@@staceyloke9872the only symptom I had was losing my vision for a few seconds a couple times an hour. I didn’t have a family doctor so my parents took me to the emergency room who took a chest xray. There was a Hugh tumor in my chest.
Hello Madison think positively and do not go around people that are NEGATIVE 👎 when our 7 yr old son was diagnosed with cancer osteosarcoma we were horrified 😭😩💔 we were thrown into a university hospital in California 🌴 and witnessing so many babies to teenagers with cancer my mental health was bad and we soon found out who our true friends were I swear there were so called friends that acted as though our sons cancer was catchy they did not want there kids to play with ours and we have not spoken to them in many yrs and when our son passed away 😭💔 they were at the funeral and the church was packed but I did not care I walked up to them and asked them to leave you did not make any attempts to visit while he was alive so please leave
You are a very inspiring young woman. Thank God you are in remission and living your best life and paying it forward. I hope you have a happy wonderful like.
I was diagnosed with the same cancer (Stage 4) in Feb. 2022. Went through ABVD chemo for 5 months. Cancer free since then. Getting another PET scan tomorrow to make sure still gone. I do that 2 or 3 times a year now. Watching RUclips videos of other cancer patients helped during treatment. So did getting a really short haircut just before chemo started. Made me feel like I had some control.
healthcare here is a joke drs and nurses don't know or care about your heath, figure it out yourself and then search for a competent health care worker, good luck with that

Ugh the MOPP was horrible wasn’t it? I threw up every ten minutes for eight hours after each treatment.
@@crosisofborg5524 I had it in 1985. From what I remember, I had my treatment and would go straight to bed for the day. It did make me nauseous.
