Oh. I just got a 36" unicycle, and apparently, I've been doing this wrong (mostly by putting weight on my pedal foot while mounting). I'll have to give this a try and see if I can mount in less than 15 tries!
Wished I had learned to ride a unicycle when I was younger, even in my early thirties! Static mount looks like the safest and easiest to learn. The other mounts are for when you're a teenager, are thin, weigh like a feather, and are at the top of your athletic ability. You learn those and then you keep the skill going into middle age.
after 90 secs i realized that theres snow in the background and you're wearing no coat or sweater... :)) it tells a lot about the needed energy for unicycling lol
Thank you; that was interesting. The Penny Farthing bikes must have some techniques too and then there are the high rider bikes, with some being great heights.
You should do more videos. Im sure if you worked at it your editing skills would improve as well. I just watched your wheel walking one and now im all over town doing it. Plus theres like snow everywhere in this video, how are you not cold or falling? Lol
I've been riding a 24 for over 40 years. I just bought a 36 a few weeks ago and it's completely different. The gearing and pedal speed is what I'm having to learn.
Would love tutorial on how to teach yourself to dismount off their rear of the uni rather than off the front.. side it has something to do with foot placement just before getting off but yet to succeed (guess I just got into a bad habit of always coming off the front)
Hello, getting off frontward is not a bad habit depending on your style : if you plan to ride a giraffe unicycle you'll have to be comfortable getting off frontward, because falling backward from a giraffe can be dangerous. It's the reason why most circus artists get off frontward even from the 20" unicycle. Anyway, if you can't get off smoothly in a direction or another, it might be an indication you put too much weight on the pedals.
Hello I want buy 36" unicycle. but I dont know whether I will fast enough like my parents on bike. what are your experiences with 36uni vs bike? Thank you for anawer :)
Loved, loved, loved!!!!!!!! Iolol... I no speak english! Desejo comprar um unicycle 36". Você pode vender - me um!? Thank so much! Good night. Bye bye.
In my opinion, a big wheeled unicycle is actually harder to ride than one with a small wheel. First of all, it's harder to mount. Also, since it's big you have a lot of momentum while riding, which makes it harder to correct yourself if you get off balance.
Thanks for the info. I know this is verging on blasphemous, but I've just learned to ride one of those electric unicycles! I have got to the stage where I can go down pavements without killing any pedestrians, so that's good. Back in my youth I went at least 2 miles on my pedal unicycle without falling off. I was quietly trying to go for a distance attempt around the perimeter track of White Waltham airfield near Maidenhead, but as I passed the fence of ML aviation, they fired off a rocket sled ejector seat test of some sort, and needless to say, that put paid to staying upright. Darn near needed new underwear!
Go put on a scarf and a bonnet girl, I got a cold just from watching you. :-) I also ride a unicycle. I always grab a post to climb on. Any other way I hurt my... myself.
You’ve got a great teaching manner & clearly are immune to the cold 👏👏👏

I live in Alaska and it usually just seems natural not to wear too much while I'm unicycling even in the winter.

Thank you for the video.
👍🤝🙏
Well presented. Thanks
Good job on the video, very instructive!!
Thanks helped me a lot, nice clear instruction.
I'm glad I could help! :)
Thanks, this was helpful!
Awesome vid! Very informative
Great job!
honestly, I do a variation of the first one where I a back pedal to push the unicycle underneath me while catching the front pedal
same
This instruction is specifically for 36 inch wheel unicycles. The mount you describe is a rollback mount but it is hard on a 36 inch wheel.
Respect...........well done!
Thank you; that was interesting.
The Penny Farthing bikes must have some techniques too and then there are the high rider bikes, with some being great heights.
Clear instructions and pleasant teaching manner, what a great tutorial !
May i know the name/ brand of unicycle you've ridden in the video?
Thanks ; D
It's really similar to UDC Titan 36" Unicycle
Great! Thanks for sharing.
The fourth way is to find three other men, one holding the unicycle for you and the rest help you climb on it.
@uni violin I'm still having trouble static mounting my 36er, can you do a little slower demo like weight distribution?
Thanks!! I just got a 29". Way different (harder) than my 20". I think this may help!!!
Hello, Matt. How was it difficult? How much time did you spend for getting this skill?
super skillz ! great vid, thx
Awesome video, love your videos 😘😘
Bây giờ mình mới tập đi .mình có thể tập luôn loại 36 inch được không hay phải tập loại nhỏ trước ?
This week i bought 29 inch unicycle.i learnt to ride it ,but still i have to master mounting
Muito bom.
Nice teaching.

How long did it take you to pick up riding the 36, or is it instant once you've mastered a 20? (I haven't mastered the 20 yet btw )

bravo
Good
Never seen a 36inch without brakes XD
Beautiful girl keep warm.

What's the point of going backward in rolling mount?
Hi Uni, How have you been doing?
굿~
Hello I want buy 36" unicycle. but I dont know whether I will fast enough like my parents on bike.
what are your experiences with 36uni vs bike? Thank you for anawer :)
I would say that a fast pace on a 36" uni would be equivalent to a moderate/comfortable pace on a bike. Hope that helps!
I am fast inough. I thing a beginer can ride it up to 15 km/h in a komfortable way.
Hi, I wanted to ask you some advice, if you like, can you answer this comment?
Am your 550subscribe

how are you not frozen? Make more vids!!
I have ridden a small wheeled unicycle. Is one with a bigger wheel easier? It must be faster!

I can put my head on the seat and pedal with my hands.😜
