    Oh. I just got a 36" unicycle, and apparently, I've been doing this wrong (mostly by putting weight on my pedal foot while mounting). I'll have to give this a try and see if I can mount in less than 15 tries!

    Wished I had learned to ride a unicycle when I was younger, even in my early thirties! Static mount looks like the safest and easiest to learn. The other mounts are for when you're a teenager, are thin, weigh like a feather, and are at the top of your athletic ability. You learn those and then you keep the skill going into middle age.

    The fourth way is to find three other men, one holding the unicycle for you and the rest help you climb on it.

    Would love tutorial on how to teach yourself to dismount off their rear of the uni rather than off the front.. side it has something to do with foot placement just before getting off but yet to succeed (guess I just got into a bad habit of always coming off the front)

    • @alexandrechatty5439
      @alexandrechatty5439 3 года назад +2

      Hello, getting off frontward is not a bad habit depending on your style : if you plan to ride a giraffe unicycle you'll have to be comfortable getting off frontward, because falling backward from a giraffe can be dangerous.
      It's the reason why most circus artists get off frontward even from the 20" unicycle. Anyway, if you can't get off smoothly in a direction or another, it might be an indication you put too much weight on the pedals.

  • @arda6301

    Hello I want buy 36" unicycle. but I dont know whether I will fast enough like my parents on bike.
    what are your experiences with 36uni vs bike? Thank you for anawer :)

    • @univiolin6904
      @univiolin6904  5 лет назад

      I would say that a fast pace on a 36" uni would be equivalent to a moderate/comfortable pace on a bike. Hope that helps!

    I have ridden a small wheeled unicycle. Is one with a bigger wheel easier? It must be faster!

    • @univiolin6904
      @univiolin6904  6 лет назад +2

      In my opinion, a big wheeled unicycle is actually harder to ride than one with a small wheel. First of all, it's harder to mount. Also, since it's big you have a lot of momentum while riding, which makes it harder to correct yourself if you get off balance.

    • @rogercrier
      @rogercrier 6 лет назад

      Thanks for the info. I know this is verging on blasphemous, but I've just learned to ride one of those electric unicycles! I have got to the stage where I can go down pavements without killing any pedestrians, so that's good.
      Back in my youth I went at least 2 miles on my pedal unicycle without falling off. I was quietly trying to go for a distance attempt around the perimeter track of White Waltham airfield near Maidenhead, but as I passed the fence of ML aviation, they fired off a rocket sled ejector seat test of some sort, and needless to say, that put paid to staying upright. Darn near needed new underwear!
