I just watched an old video from MSK Neurology saying that the McKenzie Chin tuck is not that great as it describes, do you have any thoughts on that? (I can’t exactly explain what he said in the video)
Nothing changed. Most of the people who claim this works just lost weight or went through puberty. I honestly have no idea why so many people are mouth breathing unless they have a true medical condition such as Adenoid problems or septum problems from and early age.
I understand your point, but my inter molar width is 30mm which is very narrow i think my only hope to be able to correct my tongue posture is to get an appliance. Do you think at 30mm imw you can place your tongue up there?
I haven't measured mine, but it's probably similar. When I started mewing 18 months ago (male, 34), it was tough because the only way I could do it for several months was to tuck my tongue in up there one side at a time and just suck it up to the palate (instead of pushing), several times a day. This would lead to small injuries on my tongue. But I kept on doing it, and it's gotten a lot better. My main focus besides great tongue posture is to spread my tongue flat and wide against the back molars, and to push it against the spot over the front teeth. I have a great lip seal now and routinely mew, and my impression is that my face has visibly improved. If you're younger than me, this will probably go faster for you. But also, if it's an option at all, why not look into a palate expansion? Made a big difference for my daughter.
@DominicanChico I can confirm it's definitely possible to mew with a narrow palate and high arch. I keep seeing progress. Ideally, I'll need to see a holistic dentist about this at some point, because I started too late to get my teeth re-aligned by just mewing. Please someone tell me what to do while i am mewing the lip seal gets open by the saliva and its really hard for me to mew any solution?is anyone is facing same problem
what i ll do if my septum deviated?
i cant breathe with my nose.
Get surgery
AHH!! How cannot I repay you? Thank you!!
I was told today that my tongue doesn’t fit well on the top. Not necessarily that the palate is too narrow, but rather the teeth are narrow. After a sleep study the orthodontist is recommending trays to push the teeth out, to get the tongue to better fit. Not an expander or any palatial expanding. Does that make sense?? Myo would be brought in about 3 months near the end of my run with tray. Before trays are even made my ortho will be setting up a sleep study with the Breath Institute, same Dr you had!
who else are watching this while mewing
Can a cleft lip palate patient mew
Hey my narrow was long what i fo
thanks bro/ Hope my tongue will more narrow
Another case that the upper tooth could be a little bit sharper than the usual as mine!
For all of with this problem im very sorry because i am going through this as well and there really isnt a lot you can do but you can keep on sucking that helps a lot
Is it okay if my tongue fits, but touches my teeth
Same, my tongue tip doesn’t touch the front teeth but instead I can’t get it to not touch my side teeth.
I can get the back of my tongue up but not the front
Does it work for girls
do you have teeth, a toungue and a pallete? if yes then yes it does work
@@unexpected8166😂

Algum br???
My tongue can be fat?!?😂 never thought tongues can hold fat
I think I seriously will need help from someone who knows what they are doing and I can't find anyone , I'm 20 and a girl and have a posterior toungue tie that's made my face all asymmetrical I'm willing to do anything to fix it if u know anyone around Seattle would be amazing but I'm willing to go anywhere for some real help
Dr. Youseffian is in Washington. Watch his interview on RUclips channel jawhacks. He’s been treating these case for over 20 years
@lena990 he seems amazing but my issues is being very downswung so it would ruin me mentally to become even more downswung like he says tends to happen for his clients
Easy, do thumbpulling until you have enough space. Or mew like your life depends on it.
Have you done thumbpulling? It's interesting, and I never really tried doing it aside from some times here and there.
@@BestFaceForward Yes, I've been doing it for 3 months or so. It's definitely time consuming but worth the effort.
Maybe 25% to 50% faster results than only hard mewing.
I can only talk from experience, I've been mewing for more than 4 and a half years.
@@lolo4976 this is interesting, so only with your thumb you are doing an palete expansion? did you see a dentist or you are doing by yourself?
@@marcosmelgarejo844 I'm doing it by myself, but I act with caution first and I always listen to my body.
¿Hablas español?.
@@lolo4976 plz man how to do it tell me I'm 21 and just got braces for crowded and my Ortho sayin 4 premolars extraction is needed to make space but i don't want to remove my healthy teeths will it help me??
Dude ! I literally couldn’t see any change in your maxilla/mandible even you have been mewing for years , why you are still making videos trying to convince people ?
What age is too late
@gromp-009 jhhg misinfo
@gromp-009 jhhg any age can at the very least yield preventative benefits. I’d wager that until around 25 you can also see very noticeable “gains”.

Rubbish, if your palate is to narrow it means you have a narrow airway = bad, if its that narrow please go get it checked out because you might need jaw surgery etc to open up the airway to breathe better, this mewing crap does nothing to change structure, this can only be done with surgery,
I was disappointed because my tongue doesn't fit on the roof of my mouth.
but this movie cheer up me .
