I was thinking about getting a ferrit or a dingo. I reckon ferrits are more numerous though. I have heard there are a fair few that are just sitting places rusting away. The mechanics side I could handle...just about lol. Cheers for the vid.
It is fascinating seeing the standards that can be achieved by American owners when you consider the relatively difficulty of getting parts for it. Also remarkable to see what bits are missing from it if you have the advantage of being in the UK and therefore have easier access to such bits to complete your pride and joy with.
@@oddball759mm Ok, thank you. There is one about 20 miles down the road from me and guy was asking $65k. Sounded kinder of high but I couldn't find good comparable data
Yes they were meant to be street legal anywhere in the world. they have turn signals, brake lights armour plated horn. I used to own a 1965 mark 2/3. the version with the turret. It was the greatest GI Joe accessory I ever owned. I highly recommend one.
Thanks for that walk around. I hadn't seen a Ferret since I lived on Gibraltar back in '72...brought back some fond memories...thanks :-]

I am looking at buying one of these but I am curious if anyone knows what a restored working unit should sell for?
the last time I checked they were about 30k in the US

So, this is street legal? Are you planning a model of one of these? That would be cool.
yes in the US these are street legal, As for making a model... No I have no future plans or interest on building a ferret armored car model.
M1 armored scout car is a better name tbh
No MK2 Ferret sounds better
