Nintendo is terrible when it comes to pricing on first party titles. They can be WAY too expensive for the content offered and almost never get discounted digitally or physically.
They have no real competition. Nintendo has been smart enough to not try and compete with Sony or Microsoft. Instead, they kept their own niche and continued building it. Nobody else can do what they do, at least not at the same level of quality, so they can price their games however they want. Mario is always going to sell units, regardless of cost.

Pedantic correction: Final Fantasy Adventure was the Mana game for the Game Boy. Final Fantasy Legend 1, 2, and 3 were the SaGa games for the Game Boy.

They're not even really comparable games, one is an open world game designed around physics systems and the other is a tightly designed and charming old school Zelda.

Dragon quest V weirdly enough has a protagonist that gets several defining character moments that give you a hint of who he's suppose to be and who others see him as that aren't story important but are optional moments in the story including that he without player prompting invites a supporting character to be his best man at his wedding & most notably depending on your choice of wife it directly implies your character's personality is shaped on that, with it being almost directly stated that your character is submissive towards her in the Chichi & Goku way. Hell the fact the main character prefers a staff his best weapon is one, to the point all media with the Canon main character has him welding a staff shows a lot of personality for a DQ protag.
5, maybe a touch of 8 and 11 are the only Dragon Quest protagonists with any personality. Prove me wrong. The Heroes duos don't count, they actually speak and more to the point have actual character even BETWEEN EACH OTHER cause unlike most male/female leader choices, they both not only exist together but are WILDLY different personalities. And unlike Astral Chain, it doesn't dick the one you didn't choose at the start, it's only the one you choose for the tutorial and hub walking.
I don't get Woolie when he says Pat is "getting a bad experience out of a good game." Because not only has he not played it himself, but Pat doesn't mention the quality of life changes to the remake of Link's Awakening. This podcast may or may not have been before chat told Pat of how kind of a dreck the original one is, for the one simple fact. There's not enough buttons on the Gameboy. And for that, the original Link's Awakening, has the same kind of the problem as Ocarina of Time on the N64 has, when it comes to the Water Temple and Iron Boots. That the sword and shield are considered items, just like everything else, such as bows, bombs, boomerangs, etc. So with that, you have to do the same thing, where you pause, change items you need to use. Once you're done you switch back when you need the other items, and again when you need the sword and possibly shield, repeat ad nauseum. So something that drag the original down, over time, even though it ain't that long. With the remake, they give you full on dedicated sword and shield buttons, along with dashing when you get the pegasus boots. No need to go into your inventory for those, like, ever. So now you have two buttons for the rest of the items. So with those, a lot less time wasted in going into the menu, and a lot more going than before. Especially with a dedicated dash button. Not a lot, but pretty much enough to feel like a whole world of difference. So other than the price, sometimes occasional dip in frame rate, and I guess nostalgia for the Gameboy graphics. I'd say the remake is a better experience of Link's Awakening, over the original.
The thing about Vaan is that he fills the role of Kamille in Zeta Gundam, in which he's a bratty kid who kind of stumbles into the main conflict, and him "not belonging" becomes the thematic point. Gundam, being a TV series, is able to give Kamille the attention he needs to "feel" like the main character, even if Char is more important to the story on a macro level. Unfortunately, FFXII isn't able to do the same with Vaan and Ashe (though I personally still appreciate the attempt)
You summed up the issue there - 12 sets Vaan up, but it doesnt pay off. You can remove him from the last 3rd of the story and nothing changes. He already served his role as a prop for Ashe's arc and we never address the commoners perspective after that point either. 12 does some stuff great though, Venat being an Anti-Villian and dying with Vayne out of honour and respect was kind of heartwarming.

The single best thing about Vaan is that he realizes FFXII isn't his story, and confesses as much to Ashe before deciding to support her. Honestly, Loran might be a better Gundam pilot to compare Vaan to; he's more of a go between than the driving force of the conflict

Blank slate characters work in games that give the player and the story both enough tools to shape said character as a person. It's just that JROGs for the most part skimp on player driven role-playing, so if the tight story delivered by the writers and directors leaves their protagonist as a blank slate, the player can't effectively fill the gaps
wholeheartedly agree on ff12. It has the makings of greatness in every aspect but people who didn't understand what was going on decided they know best and crippled it. The game is entirely about Ashe and her story but you can absolutely hear management stomping their foot and screaming that they can't sell a game with a female protagonist.
I legitimately lost what exactly was happening at the moment you board that one airship relatively early and Basch pulls some stunt that causes all the guards to stick your party up. I was already barely understanding the politics but that one moment told me "yeah you probably shouldn't be playing".

Tales is my Final Fantasy. The first one I ever played was Xillia, and I picked it up on a whim, not knowing anything about the series beforehand. Both Jude and Milla were great protagonists, and the fact you could play through the game twice and experience their sides of the story is something I still haven't seen implemented much in JRPG's, with the exception of the NieR games. And going back to Jude, unlike other JRPG protagonists, who use swords, Jude uses his *FISTS,* and is a doctor rather than a warrior.
Considering how they were talking about the whole "villains redemption" thing on Yakuza, and how they were not liking that. I'm sure Woolie, and possibly Pat, would love the shit out of Yuri in Vesperia.

Gonna defend Vaan a bit here: he's the viewpoint character without being the main character. He's also pretty important to Ashe's character development and her giving up her revenge.
When you only have 6 characters, compared to the much larger casts of old, each one has to pull their weight that much more. I love XII, but it isn't very efficiant with its characters and the development of them. Vaan is the worst offender die to him being presented as the main character (which should have been Ashe, maybe Basch), but Penelo and Fran were also pretty weak too. I'll give them a pass on account of their...assets, shall we say?

Skyward Sword isn't completely terrible, it's just a 7/10 among a sea of 9s and 10s. And before someone harps on about how I'm just a hater of motion controls, those were fine and they worked perfectly well. It's its actual content that's lacking.
Agreed. Never had problems with the motion but only in hindsight did I realize just how much slog is in SS. It delays normal gameplay for tedium so often. Plus it has these incredible environment s with nothing to do in them.
Honestly I think it’s the other way around. Skyward Sword definitely has the quality of an average Zelda game, but when the Nintendo youtubers opinion had solidified that it wasn’t Majora’s Mask so it sucked, that was the end of it.
The FF12 part really hit hard. It was my first Final Fantasy, bought when I was in 8th grade. I was drawn into the franchise by FF13-2's beautiful graphics I had seen in a videogame magazine we used to have here in Portugal, which had also put out a giant Top 100 Games of All Time mega book and FF12 was in the Top 10, above FF SEVEN! So I got 12 and, even if my little 12-13 year old brain couldn't really fully understand the politics of game's world, I was engrossed by the world itself and was hooked to Vaan's dream of becoming a sky pirate and the drama of his brother being killed by Gabranth. Shortly after, I played Dissidia Duodecim and the Vaan vs Gabranth pre-battle talk had the rambuctious Vaan be so serious, I couldn't wait until I played enough of 12 to get Vaan to meet his nemesis... ...and then I got to the boss fight and it was actually Basch vs Gabranth, the whole Vaan and Reks drama being thrown out the window. I didn't manage to finish the game though, I was just doing some hunts before entering the final dungeon and my PS2 got too old and scratched up my FF12 CD :(

I've only heard good things about Phantom Hourglass and i heard that Spirit Tracks was just ok, but that Link & Zelda have alot of charm in that title. I think the only outright bad games in the franchise are the cdi ones and those are talked about alot by the fandom by never by nintendo themselves
Like Juultoo said, it's an ok game, if not for the outrageous amount of backtracking. And for that, you can't really say it's a good game, compared to other Zelda games. Unfortunately the same for Spirit Tracks, because of one thing, the flute.
The Tingle games are surprisingly good. Rosy Rupeeland is a nice action adventure whose only fault is that if you suck at haggling your rewards, you have to grind for rupees. Balloon Trip of Love is such a charming and funny point&click adventure, it's one of my favourite DS games and it's weirdness gives me a lot of Earthbound vibes.
Because most can ignore ds and vita games. He can't. like at all. A spin-off has a long way to go to prove itself and really only matters if it's good.
where i normally stand on the debate of remakes/port vs the orginal almost always is dependent on which is easier to get. for example i like the BFG edition of doom 3 better than vanilla doom 3 but last time i checked on steam it's actually cheaper to just buy vanilla doom 3 and download mods that do what the BFG edition does better.

But BFG Edition includes Resurrection of Evil and Lost Mission. You'd have to buy RoE additionally and I don't think you can get Lost Mission on vanilla.
the ff14 thing is silly case. We got that "Your Warrior of light is THE warrior of light, everyone is just A warrior of light, important but not as much as yours." And then of course in playing with a bunch of different dorks coming up with the fan-canon that supports everyone co-existing without everyone being THE WoL.
I loved Link's Awakening as a kid. It was the first game I ever beat. But I did not appreciate until the remake just how _fucking short_ that game is. I bought it, played it over a weekend, and beat it three times. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. All hearts and upgrades, both times. The framerate stuff did not bother me, but boy howdy is there just not a lot of content to justify a full triple A console price.
sonic perception changed a lot from Forces. Colors is considered mediocre now and the bane to Sonic boost games with the wisps and 2d sections, 06 and Lost World is considered better than Forces because of its actual ambition of being engaging games that feel like games, Unleashed and Generations are the king and queen of boost Sonic games still, and we are just wanting another Adventure game or remake.
Unleashed was the only game that did boost right. The sooner Sonic Team kills it for good the better. To make Sonic fun again they need to have MOMENTUM (not speed) be the core of the gameplay like the 2D games. Sonic Utopia translated the feeling of a 2D Sonic game to 3D perfectly, if Sonic Team did something similar it would literally fix the series. That, or add SICK PARKOUR and Tony Hawk-style tricks.
Nintendo knows their fans will buy anything for full price, remake or not. Call of Duty sells 100$ with the season pass and crap, It's about knowing your fans and how smart they are
Hey, I liked RE Dead Aim and Survivor. Oh, Survivor isn't great, but I think some people are overly harsh on it. I guess I can say the final product is better than the sum of its individual parts. Dead Aim was more competent but, honestly, not as interesting as Survivor.
guild wars (particularly GW2) does a pretty good job of fleshing out the player character throughout the course of the story. my only real complaint about it is the railroading they do in a few situations. but most MMO PCs are meant to be blank slates largely for RP purposes. for example city of heroes & STO gave you the option to write up backstories for your character and the later let you write up captain's logs. none of that really impacts the story but it's there for the people who want it.

@@Limit02 It's because Yu is the only protag that got 2 whole spinoff games where he speaks with his own voice (Dancing and Arena), not to mention P4 Animation is definitely the most memorable of the adaptations. Makoto and Ren only have their animes and whatever bits of dialogue in Q/Q2. Maybe if we're lucky we'll get a P5 Arena in a few years and Ren can get some time to shine as a voiced protag like Yu did, since P3D+P5D didn't have a story mode like P4D.
I'll agree on Nintendo's pricing being stupid and LA Remake definitely should've been $40 MAX, but this whole "people are pretending most Zelda games are great" argument is horseshit. I've played the DS games and they're 6/10's at worst. Spirit Tracks is personally one of my favourites and oozes charm even if mechanically it's not as sound as a Twilight Princess or Breath of the Wild.

Resident Evil has overall maintained a pretty high standard of quality. 5 and 6 are the only questionable main entries, and Umbrella Corps and Operation Raccoon City are the only truly trash spin-off entries.
The only thing I can think is the 2 weeks (9 months) of staying inside has his vision fucked. And light is super intense now. I remember learning that while binging through Death Stranding at launch my far-sight got fucked. Also you can see the brightness of his screen on the video.

When Pat was doing his whole "HeeHeeHee 3DS is dead" spiel back a while ago, this is exactly the type of thing I knew was coming to bite everyone's ass. Link's Awakening is much more extreme considering this is a Gameboy game that still plays like a Gameboy game, but it shows Nintendo's casual assurance in their brand. Unless it's an indie download game, expect more of these mid-budget to low budget games still coming out at full prices. Pokemon and other games that clearly were cancelled from 3DS and simply pushed on Switch are not going to be an exception from the changing of the guard. They consolidated their markets and are going to push that full market price. Maybe even bump it up to 70 once enough next gen consoles are out and in proper competition.
I'm with Pat, the blurring effect makes everyone forget that these "mythical" games were just right place right time and in retrospect they were just great games and don't really deserve the deified culture surrounding them. I loved Ocarina too, it combined with Mario 64 literally got me into video games. Did I tattoo that shit on me? No. I don't even plan to ever play them again. People just need to stop investing so much of their personalities into what really boils down to a successful product. There's some great shit out there that deserves praise, but that shit doesn't give a free pass to an entire franchise where the average is just pretty good.
How can anyone call Skyward Sword trash when games like Ninjabread Man exist on the same console? It’s an 8/10 game easy. And that might bump it out of the top 10 games within the Zelda franchise, but that just goes to show how high the series’ standards are and how reasonable it is for people to hold it in high regard. The fact that someone can point at the Zelda series and go, “that Skyward game with the beautiful art and music, the touching and charming story, fascinating design and theming for the dungeons, and combat system that creates unique and complex encounters that are still easily readable, that’s the trash fire of the franchise,” should tell you that franchise must be seriously fucking incredible.

Wow it's crazy how Woolie mentioned and defended Sonic Rush and I immediately subbed out of sheer motor impluse
I don't get Woolie when he says Pat is "getting a bad experience out of a good game." Because not only has he not played it himself, but Pat doesn't mention the quality of life changes to the remake of Link's Awakening.
This podcast may or may not have been before chat told Pat of how kind of a dreck the original one is, for the one simple fact. There's not enough buttons on the Gameboy. And for that, the original Link's Awakening, has the same kind of the problem as Ocarina of Time on the N64 has, when it comes to the Water Temple and Iron Boots. That the sword and shield are considered items, just like everything else, such as bows, bombs, boomerangs, etc. So with that, you have to do the same thing, where you pause, change items you need to use. Once you're done you switch back when you need the other items, and again when you need the sword and possibly shield, repeat ad nauseum. So something that drag the original down, over time, even though it ain't that long.
With the remake, they give you full on dedicated sword and shield buttons, along with dashing when you get the pegasus boots. No need to go into your inventory for those, like, ever. So now you have two buttons for the rest of the items. So with those, a lot less time wasted in going into the menu, and a lot more going than before. Especially with a dedicated dash button. Not a lot, but pretty much enough to feel like a whole world of difference.
So other than the price, sometimes occasional dip in frame rate, and I guess nostalgia for the Gameboy graphics. I'd say the remake is a better experience of Link's Awakening, over the original.
Yeah I get where he is coming from but was waiting for this to get mentioned.
The thing about Vaan is that he fills the role of Kamille in Zeta Gundam, in which he's a bratty kid who kind of stumbles into the main conflict, and him "not belonging" becomes the thematic point. Gundam, being a TV series, is able to give Kamille the attention he needs to "feel" like the main character, even if Char is more important to the story on a macro level. Unfortunately, FFXII isn't able to do the same with Vaan and Ashe (though I personally still appreciate the attempt)
You summed up the issue there - 12 sets Vaan up, but it doesnt pay off. You can remove him from the last 3rd of the story and nothing changes. He already served his role as a prop for Ashe's arc and we never address the commoners perspective after that point either.
12 does some stuff great though, Venat being an Anti-Villian and dying with Vayne out of honour and respect was kind of heartwarming.
@@Canadish To be fair, Vaan has a payoff, just not as the main character. The single best thing about Vaan is that he realizes FFXII isn't his story, and confesses as much to Ashe before deciding to support her. Honestly, Loran might be a better Gundam pilot to compare Vaan to; he's more of a go between than the driving force of the conflict

Blank slate characters work in games that give the player and the story both enough tools to shape said character as a person. It's just that JROGs for the most part skimp on player driven role-playing, so if the tight story delivered by the writers and directors leaves their protagonist as a blank slate, the player can't effectively fill the gaps
wholeheartedly agree on ff12. It has the makings of greatness in every aspect but people who didn't understand what was going on decided they know best and crippled it. The game is entirely about Ashe and her story but you can absolutely hear management stomping their foot and screaming that they can't sell a game with a female protagonist.
I legitimately lost what exactly was happening at the moment you board that one airship relatively early and Basch pulls some stunt that causes all the guards to stick your party up. I was already barely understanding the politics but that one moment told me "yeah you probably shouldn't be playing".

Tales is my Final Fantasy. The first one I ever played was Xillia, and I picked it up on a whim, not knowing anything about the series beforehand. Both Jude and Milla were great protagonists, and the fact you could play through the game twice and experience their sides of the story is something I still haven't seen implemented much in JRPG's, with the exception of the NieR games.
And going back to Jude, unlike other JRPG protagonists, who use swords, Jude uses his *FISTS,* and is a doctor rather than a warrior.
Considering how they were talking about the whole "villains redemption" thing on Yakuza, and how they were not liking that. I'm sure Woolie, and possibly Pat, would love the shit out of Yuri in Vesperia.

Gonna defend Vaan a bit here: he's the viewpoint character without being the main character. He's also pretty important to Ashe's character development and her giving up her revenge.
When you only have 6 characters, compared to the much larger casts of old, each one has to pull their weight that much more. I love XII, but it isn't very efficiant with its characters and the development of them. Vaan is the worst offender die to him being presented as the main character (which should have been Ashe, maybe Basch), but Penelo and Fran were also pretty weak too. I'll give them a pass on account of their...assets, shall we say?
Literally the entire thing could work better if Vaan dies in the palace and Penelo is the viewpoint character. The apparition, all of it.

Skyward Sword isn't completely terrible, it's just a 7/10 among a sea of 9s and 10s. And before someone harps on about how I'm just a hater of motion controls, those were fine and they worked perfectly well. It's its actual content that's lacking.

Agreed. Never had problems with the motion but only in hindsight did I realize just how much slog is in SS. It delays normal gameplay for tedium so often. Plus it has these incredible environment s with nothing to do in them.

Honestly I think it’s the other way around. Skyward Sword definitely has the quality of an average Zelda game, but when the Nintendo youtubers opinion had solidified that it wasn’t Majora’s Mask so it sucked, that was the end of it.

The FF12 part really hit hard. It was my first Final Fantasy, bought when I was in 8th grade.
I was drawn into the franchise by FF13-2's beautiful graphics I had seen in a videogame magazine we used to have here in Portugal, which had also put out a giant Top 100 Games of All Time mega book and FF12 was in the Top 10, above FF SEVEN!
So I got 12 and, even if my little 12-13 year old brain couldn't really fully understand the politics of game's world, I was engrossed by the world itself and was hooked to Vaan's dream of becoming a sky pirate and the drama of his brother being killed by Gabranth. Shortly after, I played Dissidia Duodecim and the Vaan vs Gabranth pre-battle talk had the rambuctious Vaan be so serious, I couldn't wait until I played enough of 12 to get Vaan to meet his nemesis...
...and then I got to the boss fight and it was actually Basch vs Gabranth, the whole Vaan and Reks drama being thrown out the window. I didn't manage to finish the game though, I was just doing some hunts before entering the final dungeon and my PS2 got too old and scratched up my FF12 CD :(

I've only heard good things about Phantom Hourglass and i heard that Spirit Tracks was just ok, but that Link & Zelda have alot of charm in that title. I think the only outright bad games in the franchise are the cdi ones and those are talked about alot by the fandom by never by nintendo themselves
Phantom Hourglass was a decent game ruined by constant backtracking.
PH and ST both had one good idea a persistant dungeon, rest of em was pretty bad.
Like Juultoo said, it's an ok game, if not for the outrageous amount of backtracking. And for that, you can't really say it's a good game, compared to other Zelda games. Unfortunately the same for Spirit Tracks, because of one thing, the flute.
The Tingle games are surprisingly good. Rosy Rupeeland is a nice action adventure whose only fault is that if you suck at haggling your rewards, you have to grind for rupees.
Balloon Trip of Love is such a charming and funny point&click adventure, it's one of my favourite DS games and it's weirdness gives me a lot of Earthbound vibes.

where i normally stand on the debate of remakes/port vs the orginal almost always is dependent on which is easier to get.
for example i like the BFG edition of doom 3 better than vanilla doom 3 but last time i checked on steam it's actually cheaper to just buy vanilla doom 3 and download mods that do what the BFG edition does better.
Yeah, but you also get ports of DOOM 1 & 2 remastered to go along with it, with DOOM 2 having the expansion included as well

But BFG Edition includes Resurrection of Evil and Lost Mission. You'd have to buy RoE additionally and I don't think you can get Lost Mission on vanilla.
Also, BFG Edition goes on sale for pretty cheap usually, and it has a bunch of QOLs included in it as well

the ff14 thing is silly case. We got that "Your Warrior of light is THE warrior of light, everyone is just A warrior of light, important but not as much as yours." And then of course in playing with a bunch of different dorks coming up with the fan-canon that supports everyone co-existing without everyone being THE WoL.
I loved Link's Awakening as a kid. It was the first game I ever beat. But I did not appreciate until the remake just how _fucking short_ that game is. I bought it, played it over a weekend, and beat it three times. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. All hearts and upgrades, both times. The framerate stuff did not bother me, but boy howdy is there just not a lot of content to justify a full triple A console price.
sonic perception changed a lot from Forces. Colors is considered mediocre now and the bane to Sonic boost games with the wisps and 2d sections, 06 and Lost World is considered better than Forces because of its actual ambition of being engaging games that feel like games, Unleashed and Generations are the king and queen of boost Sonic games still, and we are just wanting another Adventure game or remake.
All i know is maina is the first good one since the GBA games

Unleashed was the only game that did boost right. The sooner Sonic Team kills it for good the better. To make Sonic fun again they need to have MOMENTUM (not speed) be the core of the gameplay like the 2D games. Sonic Utopia translated the feeling of a 2D Sonic game to 3D perfectly, if Sonic Team did something similar it would literally fix the series.
That, or add SICK PARKOUR and Tony Hawk-style tricks.

guild wars (particularly GW2) does a pretty good job of fleshing out the player character throughout the course of the story. my only real complaint about it is the railroading they do in a few situations.
but most MMO PCs are meant to be blank slates largely for RP purposes. for example city of heroes & STO gave you the option to write up backstories for your character and the later let you write up captain's logs. none of that really impacts the story but it's there for the people who want it.

If you make the same assumption for Makoto and Ren they would also be pretty distinct in personality; Makoto is mostly reserved but sometimes a real asshole, and Ren is a sarcastic dork.

@@Limit02 It's because Yu is the only protag that got 2 whole spinoff games where he speaks with his own voice (Dancing and Arena), not to mention P4 Animation is definitely the most memorable of the adaptations. Makoto and Ren only have their animes and whatever bits of dialogue in Q/Q2. Maybe if we're lucky we'll get a P5 Arena in a few years and Ren can get some time to shine as a voiced protag like Yu did, since P3D+P5D didn't have a story mode like P4D.
I'll agree on Nintendo's pricing being stupid and LA Remake definitely should've been $40 MAX, but this whole "people are pretending most Zelda games are great" argument is horseshit. I've played the DS games and they're 6/10's at worst. Spirit Tracks is personally one of my favourites and oozes charm even if mechanically it's not as sound as a Twilight Princess or Breath of the Wild.

When Pat was doing his whole "HeeHeeHee 3DS is dead" spiel back a while ago, this is exactly the type of thing I knew was coming to bite everyone's ass.
Link's Awakening is much more extreme considering this is a Gameboy game that still plays like a Gameboy game, but it shows Nintendo's casual assurance in their brand. Unless it's an indie download game, expect more of these mid-budget to low budget games still coming out at full prices. Pokemon and other games that clearly were cancelled from 3DS and simply pushed on Switch are not going to be an exception from the changing of the guard. They consolidated their markets and are going to push that full market price. Maybe even bump it up to 70 once enough next gen consoles are out and in proper competition.

I'm with Pat, the blurring effect makes everyone forget that these "mythical" games were just right place right time and in retrospect they were just great games and don't really deserve the deified culture surrounding them. I loved Ocarina too, it combined with Mario 64 literally got me into video games. Did I tattoo that shit on me? No. I don't even plan to ever play them again. People just need to stop investing so much of their personalities into what really boils down to a successful product. There's some great shit out there that deserves praise, but that shit doesn't give a free pass to an entire franchise where the average is just pretty good.

How can anyone call Skyward Sword trash when games like Ninjabread Man exist on the same console? It’s an 8/10 game easy. And that might bump it out of the top 10 games within the Zelda franchise, but that just goes to show how high the series’ standards are and how reasonable it is for people to hold it in high regard. The fact that someone can point at the Zelda series and go, “that Skyward game with the beautiful art and music, the touching and charming story, fascinating design and theming for the dungeons, and combat system that creates unique and complex encounters that are still easily readable, that’s the trash fire of the franchise,” should tell you that franchise must be seriously fucking incredible.

That being said cutting the FPS in half for a few seconds annoyed the fuck out of me too, but Im torn since it still runs better then 99% of zelda games (which it fucking should looking like that)

Funny they're talking about the Perception of game franchises, and then bring up Sonic. A franchise that is perceived to be bad, but has more good games than bad ones. And they prove their own point (unintentionally) by claiming it's a bad franchise despite reality not matching that perception.

One of the few times I agree with Pat. I bought it, but after I was finished I too felt like it was wayyy more expensive than it should have been. The graphical hiccups didn't bother me though. But yes, just play it emulated, its the same experience.
