WELL, I'M SURPRISED AND PLEASED TO HEAR ABOUT THIS, BECAUSE LAST YEAR 2017, I READ THE PROMISE TO DO THE JOB YOU HAVE DESCRIBED HAD BEEN RENAGED ON, AND SHE WAS LYING IN SOME GOD FORSAKEN HARBOUR, MILES FROM ANYWHERE, THEY'ED TURNED OFF HER AIRCONDITIONING ,AS THEY COULDN'T AFFORD IT, AND RUST WAS SHOWING ALL OVER HER.BECAUSE OF CONDENSATION. ??
Liners evolve. Cruise ships evolve. It can only be seen as natural. The QM2 is simply a new kind of liner. I'm sure some people in the steam age were complaining about how steamers looked much uglier than the ships of the Sailing Age. Yes, I, too, wish the old liner design was back, but I believe people will always miss old times. It's something like an instinct.

And they couldn't do it at Southhampton because it's an active ship terminal. And idk if there are any civillian shipyards in UK that would allow preservation of QE2.
Today, April 18:th, 2018, the QE2 finally opened as a floating hotel in Port Rashid, Dubai.

@@MrDaiseymay u ok dude?
You can’t say QE2 was cut down in her prime. She served for just shy of 40 years (May 1969 to November 2008).
Truly the last classic ocean liner, sure the QM2 still makes transatlantic voyages but she look more like a cruise ship than an actual liner.

Glad Dubai is taking care of her more than ling beach is taking care of queen Mary
Should've docked somewhere she visited multiple times like Southampton or New York.
Agree but I’m guessing that there wasn’t a competitive bid from uk - also doubt the footfall to fill this as a hotel would ever exist in uk or USA
When you water salut but the water can't get over the ship:

I was only 6 months old :( but she was a good ship
