I am using the Aero 98 as well. I have lead in the throat Y area to see how that feels at 340grams. Rybakina and Sabalenka are my faves. Rybakina is a silent killer. Love her game and who doesn't love Sabalenka's fire?
Hey Andy, great you're loving the pa98, I love it as well, it is such a well rounded racket and hitting powerful forehand topspin balls feels very solid. What was it that you felt you were lacking without extra lead? I am asking because I use mine pretty much stock, bar the overgrip that adds 5g, so just curious about your experience. My stock pa98 feels very stable, even against big hitters. I feel more that I am lacking the skills to use this racket to its full potential ;-) Currently I am switching back and forth between the pa98 and a customised Radical MP (it needed the customisation imo to feel more stable and solid), and haven't worked out yet which one I favour. I love how the radical feels electric on the serve, gives confidence to hit precision shots and feels so manoeuvrable and light, even though they have both similar static weight and swingweight (with the Radical customised to match the pa98 stock specs). I strung the pa98 with Confidential 17G, after first trying Hyper-G, and prefer confidential so far. Looking forward to seeing you play some matches with the pa98!
I do have both a customized pa98 and radical mp. The radical mp feels nicer and it is a more enjoyable tennis experience. However, I just play better with the pa98. I have a slower swing speed so having extra weight in the racquet helps me when I play against big hitters. If I had a faster swing speed (a la Carlitos), then playing it stock would be easy.
Why use a 16G sided string in a racket with a 70 RA? Why not soften it up some with a high quality 17G multi in the M's (or even better use 17G gut) w/an 18G round poly (like Hawk or comparable) in the X's? idk maybe you're a string breaker so reason ya go w/a thicker gauge string. Think your arm may say thx w/revised setup. Have ya seen the recent pics of Alcaraz with his forearm fully taped up?
Those are wise words. I’m not a string breaker; I just like the feel of 16L with these particular strings. I may end up with a multi/poly hybrid per your recommendation. Gut would be lovely but it is too costly to do experimentation with it.
@@tenniswithandy The Specs on the PA 98 (other than the RA/stiffness) are pretty interesting imo but not hit it since too high of an RA & don't see anybody w/ a 1-hander playing it so prolly no reason for me to try it. The Pro Staff 97 v14 or latest Radical Pro are the only frames out there that look somewhat interesting for me to maybe consider demo-ing at some point. Hope the PA 98 super-setup works good for ya.
@@vnishpt7036 my friend Vlad hits an amazing one hander and he uses the pure aero 98. But he could probably also use a broomstick and hit a very good one handed backhand. I didn’t like it for the one hander, as I hit more through the ball on my one hander and this racquet wants to go heavy spin on the one hander.

@@tenniswithandy Thanks for the feedback as good to know. Yeah my 1-hander is more flat so prolly not the stick for me.
Each to their own, eh.
Thanks for the vid.
