Thank you Sir I salute you for all you videos about the PAX wardrobes. I am now getting better at building them due to your fantastic videos. God bless you.
Thank you. this series was a lifesaver as I found the Ikea instructions, with pictures and no words, were terrible to follow. Thanks so much.
Thank you for watching
I have assembled my ikea pax wardrobes with the help of your previous video and at the point of joining the units. I find all your series helpful, thank you.
Glad it help.Thank you for watching
Very helpful! Saves one from thinking, haha
Thank you for watching
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, it's very helpful...

Thanks a lot man i really didnt understand how to put them together 😊
Thanks for your video, very helpfull! What size connecting screws did you use?
This video was so helpful, thanks for telling me what drill size you used, the ikea instructions doesn't say
Thank you for watching
@@PPFlatPack which drill size did u use?
@@bedo7591 5 or 5.5 not sure it is the exact size of the holes in the side panels
Brilliant help to assemble wardrobes, my son did it so quickly, thanks to your help
So precise! Thank you so much! You were so helpful
Glad it worked for you. Thank you for watching
Think you for the video. It saved my nerves and weekend 😅😬
Thank you for watching
very helpful thanks
Great video!! What size drill bit was used to make joining holes?
5mm I believe
What is the IKEA part number of that male and female screw please? What is the length/size of that screw?
Hi ! Thanks for the video. Joining screws are what size? Thanks you
Thank you for these videos!
Thank yo for watching
Thank you for making this - this helped me!
Thank you
Hi great video series. Re making sure don't join through holes will need later for draws etc. Should i fit all draws first. Then I'll know what holes spare. Also should I fix both cabinets to wall 1st or join 1st
Holes you see me joining wardrobes 1from the bottom and first from the top will be always free there is no komlement going there. Second part always join frames first.
@@PPFlatPack great tip... Experience shows
Great video thanks!
Great video series. It taught me how to correctly align and install the PAX with sliding doors (2024 model). If it isn't too troublesome, could the author confirm the "size of the drill bit" used for boring wider holes to insert the cartridge bolts (maybe 5mm)? Thanks so much. Peter from San Francisco.
Here's a thought..........
Spare piece of wood.
Drill hole.
Check cartridge fit.
Repeat with larger/smaller drill bit as neccessary.
thank you so much for all the videos, very helpful
Thank you for watching
I noticed you join on the 1st hole at the bottom, Ikea recommends the 5th (which seems odd). I was considering using the 5th hole for a kompliment basket drawer slide since there seems to be some wasted space below the basket. The only thing I am unsure of is if the basket can clear a door hinge for holes 3 and 4 from the bottom.
Basket can go to hole 5 they do in the instructions hole 6 not sure why hole 3/4 to not going to work with wire baskets.and door hinges.
Where do you get the hardware (screw make and female) to attach these? Great video thank you
All the screws included in the box.
Has anyone in the U.S. found joining screws that work for this? Since Ikea doesn’t provide those with the units? If so, info would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you. This video was very helpful for me.
Thank you for atching
What size bit?
What size drill bit you used?
Thank you for this series! Very helpful. I am installing 4 x 75cm units along one wall. Which step do you recommend doing first - attaching them to the wall or attaching them to one another?
If you have a wooden floor you can connect them before fixing them on the wall you can easily slide them in and out. If you have carpet do all drilling before joining wardrobes together you will have an easier time to move pax wardrobes frames one by one once you have wall ready (wall plugs in) you can position frames in the right place and join them together and after attach on the wall. hope that help. Thank you for watching ;)
@@PPFlatPack Yes, very helpful. Thank you for your quick response!
Thank you 🥰
I just purchased these and wondered if hardware to join them are included or was that something I needed to purchase extra
thanks mate
Hi im about to start instalking the komplement drawers...i have sliding doors on 2 100cm PAX units...my question is how many spaces do i count between the drawers?
Thanks for these great videos I will be receiving my Pax wardrobes tomorrow and this is really helping me understand ahead of time what is needed and how to do it. I’m sure I’ll be coming back to your channel during my I installation. Wish me luck 🍀
You may get the new pax wardrobe if yes here is the videos ruclips.net/video/Ilxl5yDrq48/видео.html Thank you for watching
I have the Pax/Forsand 50 + 100cm one. I have ran out of budget so I would have to follow up the Komplement drawers for the 100cm part. (I would need to do the drilling now to join the two cabinets). As per your video, are both the top most and bottom most holes the ideal drilling area for joining? So that any komplement in the future wouldn't interfere or be affected with the holes?
+ I also tried doing my design on the Ikea website to see which holes will not be occupied by the future komplements that I would get but, sadly the holes aren't visible there so I would probably either stick to the top-most and bottom-most or do some guessing-calculations.
If Im gonna attach it to the wall should I put one first to the wall then join the other and attached to the wall?
I usually I join them together first then mark the wall and fix them to the wall together. If is to hard to move the frames (if yo have carpet) join them mark the wall open them up move them frame by frame prepare the wall and move them to the wall join again use the same holes and attach to the wall.
Hi! Amazing video, wondering what size joining screws did you use with the 5mm drill bit?
Not sure what is the size of the joining screws but they come in the box with pax wardrobe frames. Thank you for watching
Where do you get a decent clamp tool that is used in the video?
Do you have a video on how to secure to the wall?

Hi. I have made the 2 ikea pax frames. But they don't like up straight. There's a significant gap between the 2 frames when I try to join them together. How can this be fixed?
Assuming the boards are straight, either your floor isn't straight, or you assembled them wrong. You can unscrew / loosen everything, shake it up a bit, and tighten everything again. A speed square can help to see which area isn't square.
Do you have to order joining screws or do they come with the wardrobe?
Awesomely useful video. Where did you get the joining screws? I hope the screws are in the kit.
Yes you find them in the box with the screws
Good video. Is there any way to do this without a clamp ??
Yes clamp not need if you don't have just lineup side panels and join them together.
Guys, if you don’t have a clamp use thick brown packing tape x4, will do the trick
Would it be ok just to pre-drill the wholes in each unit separately and then join them together straight away with the screws?
Could work but often you don't find exact hole or fronts not aligned
any tips on how to fix 2 PAX wardrobes back to back? I got low ceiling so doing anything from the top is not possible. good video again. thanks
Hmm maybe try to fix together L brackets from inside
Do the joining screws come with the pax set or do you have to buy them separately?
maoyama they come with the set
@@ahmedashraf4031 they didn’t come with my pack
@@bcpbrennan They come in the pack of screws and bits. If not then you’re able to contact Ikea and they will send to you for free
@@ahmedashraf4031 thanks for the info 👍👍👍
Very helpful. Is it possible to assemble this pax wardrobe without fitting the back?
Would recommend to put the back panel. This ikea frame without back collapse easily plus these 35cm frames should be fixed to the wall otherwise can go down when all doors open. There is possibility to cut out small openings for electric sockets if need. Thank you for watching
You can, but you'll want to add a brace in between or something in the corners for rigidity and structural soundness. If you assemble several together you may not need to. It's like a kitchen, the more cabinets you join together, the stronger it becomes.
HI im considering buying these to use as a display case are there any clear panels or is there dimensions for the panels to i can make them
There are shallow drawers that they sell sections for. Then you can get a glass shelf to go over that.
Thanks for the tutorial. Do the joining screws come with the wardrobes or do I buy them separately?
Joining screws coming with Pax wardrobes
@@PPFlatPack thank you for that information. We will soon be starting ours and your videos are really helpful. Thank you
Is it possible to add a PAX 200cm wardrobe to a 150cm to make a 350cm with sliding doors? Thank you.
What are the back pieces made of? I'm using these to divide my bedroom, so the backs will show. thinking of using thin plywood instead.
I would flip the back inside out
Folded cardboard. Its pretty tough though. Back is brown. Front is the color you chose. Looks like tape down the middle of the back.
Hi, is it possible to join two double waredrobes together to make a (Corner Unit Waredrobe). This is something id like to do as I want to keep my existing small double wardrobe and add an additional (preferably same size or a tad wider) to fit to in the corner of bedroom. If this is possible could you post a video demonstrating this?
Best option if you want to do corner to get one pax corner unit and than add wardrobe. If you join 2 pax wardrobes without corner unit would be harder because the doors(if you have sliding doors) would sticking out. If you have hinged doors that’s better option still you will need perfectly strait floors to achieve corner effect between 2pax wardrobes. Best option is to get corner unit and than add wardrobe.
@@PPFlatPack Ok will try and source a corner unit to make it easier. Thank for the advice
Hi, do the connecting screws come inside the pax package or do we buy the separately? and do we need to attach the wardrobes to the walls? Thanks!
Joining screws are included in the box with ikea pax wardrobe frames. I always suggest attaching wardrobes to the wall especially if you have hinged doors. All that said majority of the customers don't want to attach to the wall.
@@PPFlatPack I have both wood and mirror doors and with it full of clothes, seems heavy enough to not fall over. If you have kids then best to secure them to wall. Also mine sits tight to ceiling so no need to secure to wall😁
Any way to do it without a clamp?
Yes you can doit without
Hi. Do I join the two wardrobes together first and then secure to the wall? TIA
Yes join them first then mark the wall drill and attach them together. Just watch out if you have carpet you may need to disconnect them when you drill to get behind the wardrobe
Quick question. With your experience can you advise how is the best way to put together two PAX units one is 58 depth and one is 36 depth? I need it for the easier entry to the room. Thanks in advance
Top and bottom hole on the 35cm unit and if need one on the middle
Wouldn't be easier and more accurate to drill both sides individually and then let the screws determine where each goes?
That should give better alignment than the manual approach.
Wouldn't be easier and more accurate to drill both sides individually and then let the screws determine where each goes? Definitely not
One of my tops Is like half millimeter higher than the other, its almost invisible and I dont know how to fix that, I think its the floor maybe, can I still join them?
Put something small under the shorter side and after connecting remove
If I want to join 3 pax together I only have 6 screws to join them so I can't put 1 top 1 bottom and 2 on the middle on everyone?
I think in the manual it says only put one at the top and one at the bottom?
If you have only 6 joining screws do one on the top front second bottom front make sure back are pushed together before you do that and than you will see if middle is opening if yes do the third on the middle front.
@@PPFlatPack Ok tjx thx. Today I build 2x 75cm and joined them the middle was opening a little bit but I didn't joined them their cause I wait until I know where my drawers are placed.
And you could also tell that if you use sliding doors the upper and lower pieces of the doors will also provide a little bit stability
How and where can i buy the screw onlineshop?
Hi. I tried drilling the holes but unfortunately it chipped the laminate on the exit side. Is there any way to stop the splitting/chipping?
Put a piece of woodboard on the exit side while drilling, so the drill doesnt chip everything. Sorry for the bad english, Hope you get what I mean
Put a piece of painters tape over the exit hole before you drill
Do you have to fix the cabinet to the wall after attaching the cabinets together both in the center and at the back?

Do you have to fix the cabinet to the wall after attaching the cabinets together both in the center and at the back?
Yes you should because the doors are technically hanging on the top panel so for safety you should fix it to the wall to prevent it from collapsing
Are those screws come with shelves or do ikea sell them separatly?
You get them with the wardrobes
what is the 2 screws at 1:15 called because I want to buy it
Connecting screws. And not need to buy them just go to ikea and say you missing some usually they have plenty spare screws.
Hello, how big are the screws?

These might work.
Faster using 3,5x35mm Spax screws
The ikea instructions should have a QR code that links the customer to your videos instead of their poor instruction manual.
100% agree there was few comments when Ikea stuff was recommending my videos for assembly instructions. Well maybe one day if enough people approach them with this suggestion. Thank you for watching
I prefer to build with Woodglut plans.
