I removed a part of the skirting board and screwed the wardrobe directly to the wall. This has the benefits that there is no dirt behind the wardrobe. It's the best solution in my opinion.
Hello - do you know how to remove the white plastic covers that fit over the metal plates? Do they just flick off with a flat screwdriver underneath? Thanks!
@@LizwindsorFor me it was an afterthought as the fitted wardrobes that were meant to go in could no longer be fitted. So went for the IKEA option until we move into the next home
Use the correct tools...you get a tool to pre flate the plasterboard fixings , drawing the whole thing in and securing the fixing in place before even placing the wardrobe
This video saved my marriage 😅
Great :)

What size drill bit did you use for dry wall? Thank you. I purchased the wall anchors you provided. Very helpful video.
I selected the drill bit to match the thickness of the fixing.
This os so clear. Perfect thank you.
Any idea how to take those white bits off? I am dismantling one at the moment and I have two more of them to do
Pry out with a screwdriver or spoon.
How do you manoeuvre the spacer into place that is in the corner?
I wanna know the name of that piece that should up o @2:07
Can nylon washers be used instead of wood piece to fill the gap?
Yes.
May i know how to remove that white thing you installed at the end, should i pull it upward or downward, i want to remove it to rearrange
White plastic cover? Pry with a screwdriver.
Hi! Do you have a link to the anchors you are using? Thank you!
I added to the description of the movie.
It's not can you tell is
why did you decide to leave a gap between the wall and the closet instead of removing the plasterboard and positioning it flush?
I didn't want to tear off the skirting board.
If your going to go to all that trouble might aswell remove the skirting board and have it flush against the wall
It's easier to add blocks.
If renting maybe its not allowed to make such modifications, the blocks provide a good solution 👍🏼
Sure if you want to make it more complicated and harder to repair for no reason whatsoever.
Dry wall?
Yes
😊
Thanks for watching

What size cavity anchors are you using here? Cheers.
I used 2 different anchors because one had too short screw, I moved the longer screw to the shorter one.
Remove baseboards before installing pax.
And then seal the holes in the wall after mounting the baseboards, seal the holes between the floor and the wall. And paint the room.
@@k-nemo correct. Do it properly not half-assed

I just tried this and the screws won’t tighten. Any idea why?
Just use toggle fixings much stronger

Fuck that. Looks like I'll have to pay someone to build/fit it or buy a ready assembled one.
