Women AND men who use dating apps need to both experience what the other goes through, BUT also be taught what's going through each of their heads at the same time. A guy given a girls profile is still going to run it like a guy and thus just get disheartened. Put yourself in a women's shoes though: Instead of your problem being to little attention, suddenly your problem becomes "How do I know which of these guys are actually being authentic and are a good match if guys will say and do anything to try and get in my pants". They're limiting who they talk to and ignoring most matches because they're attempting to use only pictures and a profile to determine if someone is worth talking to. The drive for sex comes AFTER they're attracted to you, not before like with men. As a man: think of the amount of women in your time that you've given the time of day even though you would NEVER date them, just because you wanted to get some? Yeah.

I once helped a Chinese female friend setup a Tinder profile. We did not upload a photo, not profile text. Just her name and her age. After at most a minute, we started swiping to get something started before filling out extra info on her profile. Over half were matches.
I'm pretty sure most dudes just give up and swipe everyone, this is probably part of the problem as it inflates their sense of attractiveness.

It's not that they think you're weird, it's just you haven't (and often can't on a dating app) given them a reason to look past even the most minor thing yet. Until you prove yourself to have value to them, you're still just another stranger. As men, we do not feel this way because we assign value to women based on attractiveness right out of the gate even before they open their mouth, and people always want what has value to them.

I gotta say, being 5ft9 is a blessing in disguise. Nobody thinks you're "short" when they look at you, but it really helps to weed out the girls who only care about your height. So when a girl likes you, it's because she likes you.

This video pretty much sums up my dating experience so far. Just in the first three minutes alone I feel she was spot on with my thought process. Make my prompts witty, but well thought out. Liking the girls' prompts, not pictures, and actually sending a comment. Trying to engage them from the beginning. If I do like a picture I try not to like the obvious one that most guys would like, usually midway or further down in their profile.
After that, everything she went through with maybe getting a match and never receiving a response or them just leaving mid-conversation was unfortunately also the same, but I have a $0 budget.
