Hi. Thanks for your videos, they're great 😃 A quick question: I'm trying to do the exercises with my 4 months baby (he had tounge tie and we did the division too at 1 month) but he's very sensitive in his mouth and cheek area. He gets irritated when I try to do them. I don't know if it's because he's teething or it's just sensitivity. Do you have any tips for that? I always try to do them in a playful way, lots of eye contact, songs and smiles.
That’s tricky. I would maybe offer him a cold teether before engaging in the exercises in order to numb the gums. Also, if his aversion is due to teething he should be able to have relief in a week or two. You can also try these exercises while you baby is being held by someone else in a more upright position- I’ve had kiddos experience relief from teething pain in this position. Please let me know if these suggestions work.
Love your videos! I have issues with my baby closing his mouth? Even at nights! (He’s not elevating his tongue either, he had tongue tie revision 2 mo the ago) Any exercise that could help with that? Thank you!
How old is your little one? Also, by issues closing his mouth you mean he doesn’t close his mouth much? I can definitely give you more suggestions, just let me know your baby’s age 👍🏽.
@@mightykiddos he’s 6 months old and yes! He keeps his mouth open all day 😔 and drools all over the place, been trying the sleeping tongue posture hold but it doesn’t seem to be working, thank you!!!
Thanks for replying, I have been doing some research in order to find helpful information to replay to you. It seems that the most important thing to do is to consult your pediatrician. I will post a video this week with more information regards open mouth breathing in infants, I hope you find it helpful.
@@mightykiddos looking forward to watch that video! 👏🏽👏🏽 thank you very much, unfortunately pedi is very skeptical about ties…but getting a second opinion soon!
My baby is now 7 months old. She has been having a hard time with sucking . She is always bottle fed. We always need to press her cheek to help her suck better. Now its getting harder for her to suck. Does this excercise help with her sucking?
It may help, however, there can be a number of things that can affect her sucking pattern and it is always best to have her checked by a lactation consultant or even a feeding therapist. It is not typical for 7 month olds to struggle when sucking- she may need a bit more assistance. Let me know how it all turns out.
Very helpful! I wish I knew this when my babies were babies!! Your doing great! ♥️
Thanks, I appreciate it 👍🏽!

Can you do this exercises from new born or until what age for better results?
Yes absolutely, especially if baby is having difficulty latching. However, I would omit the last exercise.
