Your videos already help me tremendously 🤗 This was the icing on the cake since my hubby is literally starting to build our raised garden beds today 😂😁☺️
I love that Shea isn’t afraid to ask the beginner questions. I’m sending this to all my friends who want to try gardening but don’t know where to start!
This has been one of my absolutely FAVORITE videos! Recently started (trying to figure out the plants around our new home... We have too many free roaming wildlife to start planting fruits and veggies so we're currently trying to navigate that before trying to plant anything.
Shea, this is perfect timing. I have been pushing off planting my garden because I feel I’m not great at it. Shea you are so such a beautiful soul! Thank you for sharing and posting such an informative video. I learned so much and now I don’t have an excuse.
Adding perlite to your soil is great if you need “fluffy” soil for carrots etc. enjoy your beautiful garden ❤ just a tip for when you’re emptying compost etc into the beds is to wear a mask to stop the particulates from going into your lungs. I have a gardening friend who was really sick last week in hospital and they’re 99% sure that’s what got into her lungs. Just an FYI, y’all do you :)
I love the raised beds. Really lovely plants. It makes me miss gardening a lot. I enjoyed learning about the soil! I always had a lot of clay in my soil and didn't know about the crumbly part being a good thing. By the way, I feel like jumping in the pool behind you guys. Ugh, what a gorgeous yard you have.
Shea, parsley is a perennial here in Utah, mine always comes back, just to let ya know 😉. Glad you’re showing people this, I teach classes in my area too and it’s so great that you’re encouraging others to grow a garden.
A lot of opinions for interior design 😅 This year I want to do a flower/ herb garden instead of a vegetable garden. I’m like Shea.. I’m learning. ☀️ Thank you for the tips ladies!
I’ve always heard airflow airflow airflow. I figured if you plant things too close together, then they would form funguses or some sort of diseases or transfer bugs.
It would be also nice to teach how to maximize the garden’s production to be more sustainable and how to utilize it in recipes. Like for instance the origano (perennial, gets bigger over the years) the flowers dried upside down ( like lavender) will be grounded by hand and stored in jars during winter. Good for sauces, seafood and meats.. but maybe this is another story I am Italian 🤣🤣
Learned a lot about her method with this video, thanks. I’m wondering how it’s going though since it was planted so early? Still risks of frost in some areas but maybe they’re doing ok in your climate?
Hello. Shea Mcgee i am your biggest fan all the way from India. I really want to opt interior design as my career. You are my inspiration. Would you please tell me if it is good choice, boon and bane of it too. Please
