Boy! Are you fly fishing with a regular pole?! That’s rad. New technique I’ll use! Finally trout season and I’m excited to fish in creeks and rivers, I love being able to see the fish.
Went fishing at the same creek yesterday 12-30-22 caught ten from the same hole and one from the upper most hole. Had a great time helping some people from out of state catch fish as well. All in all a great trip that I will remember for a long time
You had a marvelous 2022! I am looking forward to an equally successful 2023 for you. I love your baits as they work very well. I recently caught some nice winter Steelhead here in Michigan using 2 to 3 pink, 6mm little stinkers on a single egg salmon hook. I usually tie my own spawn sacks but haven't needed to yet this winter. I think they like the smaller presentations.
What INCREDIBLE fish! And those Creek Bugs are murder. Unless forced to do otherwise, these would make a fantastic dinner or two, especially that huge 7-pounder. I surely do wish we had fishing like this in TX. At 22:50, was that a band on the fish's tail? Happy New Year and tight lines!
Man it doesn't get better than this. Can't wait to see what 2023 brings. Thanks for the videos and to your baits fishing was way to fun for me here in new mexico. Happy new year bud.
I love trout fishing when it's cold like that!! I fish alot of western Pennsylvania trout streams. Love the scenery. Love the solitude! Love the beauty. Some people don't get it and they're missing out. Looking forward to your new videos. 2023 Happy New Year to you brother 👍
Donald, I see that, like me, you don't like wearing fishing gloves....even in such cold conditions. Thanks for a great 2022 season. We all learn a lot from your videos.
I think the big catch tore out of the hole on the cast after you caught the first fish. If look at the bank across from you something made a huge ripple swimming upstream. Great vid. Luv the respect u show for well being of the fish.
these trout are not wasting any time on biting here. they got to be very hungry, Seriously they have to be. I had never seen fish bite that quickly in freezing water like this. I use to live up in the mountains and from time to time use to do ice fishing, not once have I ever caught a single fish in that cold water like that. so most definitely you are the trout fishing angler king. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
He can catch ‘em when no one lose can , saw him in person fish a hole with 12 trout 5 of us fishin he stepped in and caught two right away, we had thrown everything at em
Love your channel and have learned so much from you recently. You may have mentioned this before but what is the ideal depth to fish these lures? Does it need to be just off the bottom?
Its gonna be hard to beat your 2022 season but i believe you can do it. Im so looking forward to you sharing the upcoming 2023 year. Congratulations on your business taking off and keep up the good work. Any new lures from you headed our way in 23?
I really enjoyed the video and thanks for braving the extreme cold. I have enjoyed this year’s videos and use your baits with good results. I understand that your time is limited, glad the business is doing so well, but I will miss seeing as many videos in 2023 as you have had in 2022
very interested in going to this place, Just really cant find anything on the website about the rules to be honest, Ive noticed you can catch and release which is pretty nice compared to the others ive looked into, but as for the locations, can you walk to different spots or do you have to stay wherever they send you to? im fairly new to trout fishing still i started 3 years ago when my ol ladys stepdad took me to rock hollow which turned me on to it. I was always a bass fisherman and catfish. But any info would def be appreciated, deff gonna subscribe to your channel also
It's Blue Springs Trout Fishing in Rural Retreat, Va. They will allow you to release the fish if it's not gut hooked or bleeding. You may walk the creek and fish different areas. They have 3 creeks to choose from.
I have fished streams like that and been skunked everythinks those here are easy. Plenty pwople pay and only catch one or two. Nrv is exceptionally fishy and master of his craft

Yeap!!
Random question but is your net connected to a magnet and lanyard? I'm looking for a way to carry mine conveniently, love the vids!
It's hooked to a magnet attached by zip ties
Do these creek bugs work well in lakes as well?
They sure do!
Hey Jared no sound but the creek bug speaks for itself
Try refreshing the video. Thanks for watching!

I hope to continue releasing 8 videos a month. They will be on a more random basis
When you are fishing and filming are you all alone and fish the hole crick by your self. Just curious. do you fish with any of your fowllers.
I fish alone often but rarely have a creek to myself
What's the recommended jig size for these creek bugs?
1/64-1/32oz ball jigs
@@NRVOutdoors it's always nice to have more than one bait targeting trout thank you
What river are you fishing at?

@@NRVOutdoors ok hell yea, thanks alot man. Gonna hopefully plan a trip up there this year some. Thanks for your vids and the tips on trout fishing!
Are those the grape flavored bugs?
Unscented
Stocked fish?
Yes. Thanks for watching!
Farmed trout are pretty easy to catch! But I enjoy catching them also.
They can be tuff at times but with enough skill you can catch everyone
@@NRVOutdoors I really hope to get back to Virginia to fish this year. I had a blast the last time I was there.
I have fished streams like that and been skunked everythinks those here are easy. Plenty pwople pay and only catch one or two. Nrv is exceptionally fishy and master of his craft
I can’t order no creek bugs
Sorry to hear that. Are you having complications using the website?
