A small pad of a few modules to accompany Mavis would open up a new word... Yes, I fell in that deep modular ditch a few years ago (and I love it down there) Addicted to something I can not frame 😮
@@continentalfruit you're right on that one - I fear i lack the patience (*and the bank account) for modular. i deeply admire the people that can make sense of though :)
Moogy, Moogy goodness. I have a Grandmother that I run through a Zoom MS70CDR, and I can spend h o u r s with it. It's unwieldy as hell, takes 15 minutes to warm up, takes some real coaxing to get different sounds out of it, but once you find the zones, you FIND them.
I feel you - I hit a good patch with Mavis the day after and kept it recording for like half a day afterwards - still trying to decide whether to keep this particular lass though...
Personally, I say keep. I have the Mavis and absolutely love it. Oh yes it has its boundaries and shortcomings but I still love the sound of it. As for synths in cupboards, I have loads but I learnt a few years ago not to let go if you can. I sold my beloved Minimoog (1978) due to hard times (along with most of my studio gear back then) and look at the price of the original Minimoog now. I will never be able to replace that with a like for like. Sell but only if you truly have no more need for the Mavis.
So, do I keep MAVIS or not? What do you reckon?
but it sounds too good to get rid of!
i mean, yo gotta do what brings you joy...
what do you think about it after this session

Can't stop listening to this - it's nice to have a short, easily digestible bit from you every now and then - this is just pure beauty :)
Awww so glad to hear that you appreciated a short one!
Love the SAD screen violence reverb. Also, Valhalla supermassive sounds mint 😊
thank you there!
A muscular set in the glittery void - I'm not sure if it's perfect, but it sounds damn good in your hands.
Thank you! Will certainly be agonising over my decision over the next few days...
Soooo ready for this ❤❤
Hope that you enjoy 😊
ambient heaven - even if you hate it, I looove what you do with it.
good advice. thanks mate!
I'm haunted to the core - I hope that you keep the thing. Such beautiful sounds - just a magnificent peiuce generally.

@@the_washington_monument_am9714 you're welcome!
Yay for Mavis!
Good to see one Mavis fan out there!
Tough question-if you don’t love it, you don’t love it
It do be that way...
It is a hauntingly beautiful piece
But if creating a piece is cumbersome then you need to set it free 🥰
I think I'll set it free...for a price...
