Lastly, Devin and Hunter reveal that this is the last episode of this season of the Salty Podcast! They will be taking a short break to focus on Brewer, and will pick back up refreshed with a new season soon!

This podcast episode literally picked me up out of a spiritual rut I’ve been in. I had my second child in April and he was diagnosed with spina bifida at our 20 week anatomy scan. There have been a lot of ups and downs with him needing two surgeries within a week of being born. Understandably, my emotions have fluctuated and this is a new season for us that we are learning to navigate. Tons of doctor appointments, etc. This video convicted me that I have been definitely quenching the Spirit, and just neglecting my time with Him, but it also gave me so much encouragement to just come to Him again. God has been nudging me and He used this video to pull me back in. I was able to just talk to him this morning for the first time in what has felt like weeks. So I just wanted to thank you Hunter & Devin for your obedience and willingness to serve the Lord. You are storing up treasures for yourselves in heaven. I have been following you guys for a few years now and y’all are so inspiring and an incredible example of what it looks like to follow Christ despite the pressures of the world around you.

Devin I appreciate your honesty and vulnerability! I too can have my dry spells...we all do! But like you said it's not God but us. We can get so busy doing life and being Martha's that we neglect sitting at the feet of Jesus getting our cup filled. I find when I fill my cup first thing in the morning like Jesus did with his father, I have more to give to the world that day. I handle things so much better. I have more fruit of the spirit which comes from abiding in Jesus who's the vine, nourishing and saitiating myself in him. Quenching the spirit is putting the fire out from the Holy Spirit. It's so important to keep the flame burning with fresh new oil everyday to keep us whole and complete in Christ so we feel empowered and have a sense of agency to deal with the demands of daily life and sanctification. Life is hard enough as it is, keeping a fresh supply of oil helps so much and I feel is key to helping to make the load lighter. ❤️

🥹🥹🥹 this episode filled my cup… we lost our family home on March 29th, myself, my husband and our 4 boys and 3 dogs… (we all initially made it out safely)but we just lost one of our pups on May 10th and I’ve just recently started shutting down and pushing people out and digging myself in a hole… I am questioning so many things in life and I’ve been saying I don’t want to ask Him why, but you guys 😢😢😢 I don’t feel bad asking what’s next and I’m scared to ask and I don’t know if I’m ready for what’s next but I need answers… help me please, how do I listen and let Him come thru to me?

This is so good! Honestly I have fallen into habit of not reading my Bible. The first of the year I wanted to do Bible in a year , failed miserably upon getting pregnant . Exhausted in first trimester with hyperemesis. Now in second trimester I’m starting to feel a little better… but feel so guilty and confused. My pastor told me god knows where we need to be in our relationship with him and he sometimes prunes our strict regimes to something more doable, but I do think I’m in this cycle of doing nothing. So how in the world do I get to a place of wanting to again, without over doing it during pregnancy where I totally fall off like I did! I pray for understanding and revelation so often and don’t get it …. Or I get little messages that I totally ignore 😅

I’m going to be honest. I love you and your love for Jesus but is that all we’re going to talk about on here? I’m losing interest, because it’s the same thing over and over. Hopefully next season there’s more to it.
