I just wanted to come on here and let you know that I am not religious.. I'm very spiritual, but have never really dived into the Bible.. however I've been following your channel for so long and when you came out with a podcast, I wasn't sure if I could get into it, but honestly, hearing stories and different perspectives on things is really opening my eyes and my heart and I really appreciate hearing your point of view on things because you are just like the average family and it's nice to hear from you both ❤
So excited to listen to this. Jesus is my favorite subject! ❤ I have double proof of His miracles. During my last pregnancy with our twins, I ended up having to have fetal surgery for twin to twin transfusion syndrome in Houston. My water broke (due to the surgery bc they have to poke a hole in it to get to the placenta and do surgery in utero) at 18 weeks. I was admitted to hospital and spent 32 days on my knees. The doctors tried to get us to deliver baby A with no chance at life to try to give B a chance to stay in. We refused and told them Our Father had bigger plans. Twin A literally plugged the hole in the sac with his middle toe and ended up losing his toe at 4 weeks old (would have been 30w). I know there were angels around us, and I firmly believe one of them guided his sweet toe to the right spot. The doctors were baffled. Our twins were born at 26 weeks, 2 lbs and 2 lbs 2 oz. We were told they’d have all kinds of deficits, issues… They spent 96 days in the Nicu and one came home on oxygen. They’re 2 now, off oxygen, the hole in baby Bs heart has almost closed… only issue they have is they need glasses, and one can’t stop getting naked 🤣🙈 I will forever be grateful. I thank Him every single day.
ETA we struggled with secondary infertility after our first, for 7.5 years. We had 8 miscarriages total. I’m now a mom of 4, 3 of them are 16 months apart. I am surrounded by blessings upon blessings. Thank you, God.
This is so heavy BUT, this conversation is so necessary guys. I just had a stillbirth at 27 weeks, yet i feel this peace in God that his ways are greater. In my grief I have this comfort that it will work together for my good. It was our babygirl after two boys we were sooo thrilled but i am taking this opportunity to do better in every aspect and just get closer to God in this time and wait in His timing for all the things to come.
I love this so much!! God healed me 13 months ago!! I had dysautonomia for 15 years!! I passed out every day! I was in pain every single day!!! I was on all kinds of pain meds and anxiety meds!!!! I kept praying for healing the whole time... on February 13th 2023 I prayed for God to heal 2 of my little cousins in stead of me!!! Like, whatever blessing he had for me, I prayed that God would just heal them!! ( 1 has CF 10 yrs old, and the other one has Hunters disease 4 yrs old) so what I'm saying is..... Not only did God heal ME!!!!! He healed all 3 of us!!!!! I'm STILL praising God for this miracle!!!!!!!!! I love y'all so much!!!
Plus faith without works is empty. That woman needed to step out in faith. Just believing doesn't help. Hunter told the story exactly as it is. Loved how easy it came out. Ps i just started bible college as well. Wrote my first 3 exams today
My kids and I did a recent devotion about affirmations. This was the affirmation: "God woke me up. I'm so blessed. Today is my day, so I will not stress. If I do my best, He'll do the rest. I'm smart, kind, loved, and walking with his guidance from above." I wanted to share it with you.
Loved hearing yalls interpretation of certain Bible stories & yall just chit chatting & learning from each other, & teaching us! Lol (I, too, love reading my children’s Bible still! SO good for learning)
”If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.“ James 1:5-6 NKJV This has been an encouraging verse for me the last couple months. Devin, God has given you so much wisdom and your ability to express your thoughts is beautiful! Believe in the wisdom that God has already given you and continue to let it grow. ❤
This might sound kinda strange.. But I had a dream last night that ya’ll went back to the doctors after your anatomy scan & everything came back normal 🩵 You both were filled with so much relief. I have faith that everything will be okay for you and your sweet family. 🫶🏻🫶🏻✨✨
I love when you have people on to hear their testimonies, but I also love this format where y’all just sit and talk about scripture it’s very easy to digest this way I feel like most people can relate more. Love hearing your thoughts on everything! Great podcast!
Love the deep-diving into the word! I help teach children’s church and 100% agree with reading a kid version of a story then going and reading the story in the Bible!!
This was fruitful! I gained a lot of respect for you two after this. You are filled with wisdom and you’re sharing it with us. This is one of the best ways to gain it, too! In discussion and sharing with others. P.S used to live in Huntsville as a kiddo ! But we’re back north now. When I moved here all the kids said they loved my accent! I was so confused and naive of my southern twang! 😂
Prayers for the placenta previa and also your A1C levels as well!🙏🏼🩵 The Lord heals💙🙏🏼 Also a testimony, I had placenta previa with my first and it ended up moving and it was such an answered prayer!
I absolutely loved this podcast!!! Touching on so many points I feel and think about. Please do more…lead me so I feel confidence to branch out on my own and read scripture. I’m learning and it’s positively amazing. Thank you both ❤
This podcast is sooo good. I absolutely love you guys just sitting there talking about Jesus, just as if you’re sitting around chatting in your living room. You guys are so awesome and I love that you are not ashamed of your faith!! ❤️
I have been obsessed with this podcast since it came out! I love how openly you speak about God and Jesus and it just helps encourage me to get closer to him. Thank you.
Amen! Jesus is our healer❤ I LOVE how open you are with your faith! Headed to my 20 week appointment scan! Love how close we are with our pregnancy. God bless you both
Maybe you could have a episode about easter and what you do around the easter days? I live in Norway, and we do not have so much things around easter and why we «celebrate» easter.
Loved this podcast. I like listening to the real conversations that aren’t all theologian based because this is how I talk it out with others as well. We are all just trying to figure it out! This made my drive to work purposeful this morning!
Southern seminary along with New Orleans baptist seminary both have online classes for both men and women, AND if Hunter decided to take classes at either one, there are certification programs for wives that offer free classes! I’m not sure if you have to be in person or not. My husband is currently attending Southern online & he teaches youth at our church while I teach in public school. If we were on campus at southern, I’d definitely do the women’s courses!
This was the best podcast yet!! I truly enjoyed listening in! I love the way yall talk about Jesus ❤ it makes me so excited to read the Bible and have a growing relationship with Jesus. I love how you said we dont have to have it all figured out its so true!🙌🙌I could have listened to this podcast all day!!
Thank you for all that you do. You are so inspiring. I am a catholic from Slovenia and I don't know where I am with my religion but you remind me that religion is not important, important is that we love God. One more thing... Tessa Afshar has a great novel about woman who was bleeding for 12 years, it's called Land of Silence, it's great!!!
Love seeing when you upload! I honestly wish there was a new episode everyday! If there are more podcasts like yall that you all or anyone else watching recommends, please let me know! 🤍
I enjoyed your off the cuff, thinking in your human normal based mind, you were putting a possible real life view of what was taking place, and how all the different meanings could be held in that verse and view. Also, pointing out that Jesus was confident and locked into his mission or goal to reach and complete during his time here.
I had placenta previa too and it corrected itself. I heard it's pretty common and usually does correct itself when your belly grows it'll move. I also get anxious over my babies' health safety and future. I can't even think about if my kids ever not being saved 😔 I feel a lot of pressure too but I know too they're His first.
I really really loved this episode! We went through this story at church recently, and it was amazing to learn about and dissect. Loved your perspectives as well! ❤
Honestly love this, I’ve watched every episode of this pod so far, and y’all are such sweet souls, love listening to y’all speak about the Word of God, you guys have convinced me I need to be more involved, and be in church more consistently, so know you are helping people. Would love to see more episodes like this, or at least a segment in episodes going over a story from the Bible, God bless y’all ❤️
Just wanted to comment on the Placenta Previa diagnosis. We had a bit of an ordeal where we lost a baby back in December due to a "c-section scar ectopic." But I did some extensive research during our journey and learned quite a bit about placenta diagnoses and I wanted to share with you that a previa can actually correct itself. I had an aunt who had her baby naturally who had a previa! My Dr explained it that when the uterus grows, the placenta moves with it and can move out of the way for a natural delivery. 🙂Of course, everyone's situation is different, but I hope and pray all is well with your pregnancy and delivery! Also, on the "Confessions of a Crappy Christian" podcast about Miracles, the guest speaker said something along the lines of Faith isn't whether or not God performed the miracle, but knowing whether He can perform the miacle. Hebrews 11:1 "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
I like to think of God as an “electric force” of some sort! So whether we touch him or he touches us- we feel the power!! That’s what I gather from the woman who touched him!
I wish I could tell you both my testimony. Just a sum short and sweet, I was dx at 27 with cancer stage 3 very aggressive here is the kicker I was 38 weeks pregnant when they found it. I felt like I was sentenced to death, I didn’t know God like I should bc I closed him out. Cancer saved my eternal life with God. 13 yrs out and I’m about to have surgery #30! Went through divorce during tx bc husband was taking my medication. I don’t believe in divorcing unless certain circumstances, I could not risk our child to be near that I fought for my son as I fought for my life and my son slowed my cancer down by taking my nutrients without him I would have died my saving grace. I can tell you thinks that will give u chills what I call my holy smokes moments and you can see his perfect timing. Through all this I dedicated my life to God. Man he is so good. So much more than this but haha already posted so much, lol
Silent follower here👋🏽 God doesn’t “allow” bad things to happen. Once mankind fell in Genesis, we were destined to live in a broken world. Miscarriages are part of that broken world. The Bible says Christians will go through trials and tribulations too, the difference is that we have God to get us through them. I heard a quote on a Christian podcast that has weighed in my mind for some time. “Bad things do happen to good people, it happened once at the cross.”
Respectfully, I disagree. God ALLOWS bad things to happen, but he doesn't make them or cause them to happen. Look at Job. God allowed the devil to do all those things to Job. He didn't stop him because He easily could have. Also, God gave people free will. He knows that choices people make will sometimes effect others negatively, but He doesn't stop them because they have free will. If He didn't allow bad things to happen because of others' choices, including our own choices, there'd be no free will. As much as I or anyone else hates hard times and struggles, that's when we grow closer to God and our faith tends to grow. That doesn't happen for most people when things are going well. Also, the hard times are opportunities for us to lean on Him because it is often more than we can handle on our own. ❤
God does allow bad things to happen. In the book of Job, God told Satan he could do anything bad to Job but that he couldn’t kill him. He allowed it to happen
I love listening to your podcasts. Love to see influencers in God’s word. My question is how does your understanding of how we come to know God stand when it comes to characters in the Bible such as Paul (formerly Saul)? He did not choose God. God chose him. Same thing for Mary (the mother of Jesus). What about Ephesians 2 and Romans 8? What about verses that say that no one knows God or seeks Him? What do you think about predestination? This would be a good topic of discussion for a podcast!
My husband and I went through infertility for 18 long hard years. We have 8 babies in Heaven. We are parents now from adoption through fostering. I always said “I can’t wait to ask God why I had to endure the hardships”. But in reality, when I get to Heaven, I don’t think any of it will matter. I will probably just fall at HIS feet praising Him!
My journey with infertility is what brought me closer to God, but it’s of course still a struggle everyday not knowing His plan for me. Will I ever become a mother? Will I be led to adoption by Him? No matter what, one thing I do know is I am His child, and that’s the greatest gift I could ever receive🤍
He doesn’t allow bad things to happen but saves you from the bad things you were about to endure that was much worse and then we learn from it and it becomes our story. God didn’t give me cancer but he gave me a son to save my life from cancer while being pregnant with him by taking nutrients from the cancer. He wants us to see how he pulls you through and that he will never leave you nor forsake you ❤
We are born in sin (everyone), it's our DNA. That's why Jesus came here to be the perfect sacrifice FOR US, and if we expect the free gift of Jesus dying (paying for ) our sins we are BORN AGAIN in Him and we will be with Him FOREVER. NOW IS THE TIME TO MAKE YOUR CHOICE BECAUSE WITHOUT JESUS WE ARE LOST FOR ETERNITY (cast into a burning fire where there will be nashing of teeth.... eternal suffering ). Jesus saved us from that, turn to Him now.
Why does God allow bad things to happen? The simplest way to put this is that God is sovereign and allows both good and evil to accomplish His purposes. Ultimately, if we are believers, the “bad” and “good” is for our good and His glory. Both used to sanctify us, prune us off of the world and pushes us closer to Him. To trust Him and His character, even in the darkest valley, He is with the believer. He knows what is best for us ❤
God loves you and yearns for you to know Him more. The problem with this fallen world is we all have wanted other men to tell us who Jesus is instead of going directly to the source. All churches have perpetrated lies and deception that has kept us from the true intimacy that our Father in heaven longs for us. The sabbath has been changed, Easter and Christmas are ancient and pagan. He tells us His children perish due to a lack of His knowledge. We need to question everything we thought we knew and start over. Wide is the path that leads to destruction and narrow is the path that leads to Life. Its time to wake up. He promises that we will all be tested as gold in the fire but he will see us through it all.
I'm not sure If this is a God thing or not, but it blows my mind. 3 people I know, including my sister are having baby BOYS in July. I am 3 months and I just found out I am having a BOY. You too are having a BOY. Wow. God is amazing
I just wanted to come on here and let you know that I am not religious..
Love your blankets ❤😊
Leave it in!!!
NYC here 🙋🏻♀️ pollen is bad here too haha my allergies are killing me already 😂
Hey Devin and Hunter
Are you guys able to upload these videos to the Spotify episodes? I know the Christ with Coffee On Ice Podcast does it.
The grow track comment 🤣 honestly I need the crash course when I get there
The bible project in RUclips is good short videos that explains the bible I love it
He doesn’t allow bad things to happen but saves you from the bad things you were about to endure that was much worse and then we learn from it and it becomes our story. God didn’t give me cancer but he gave me a son to save my life from cancer while being pregnant with him by taking nutrients from the cancer. He wants us to see how he pulls you through and that he will never leave you nor forsake you ❤
It was 21° here in Colorado Springs!

❤❤❤❤❤❤
I always liken it to a goldfish in a tank trying to explain what goes on outside the tank. It just can’t.

We would've done the same thing as Adam and Eve whether they chose to sin then or later. We do the same thing today.
I'm not sure If this is a God thing or not, but it blows my mind. 3 people I know, including my sister are having baby BOYS in July. I am 3 months and I just found out I am having a BOY. You too are having a BOY. Wow. God is amazing
I live in Central Oregon and there is definitely pollen here as well! Whole family is dying from allergies right now. 💀🫠
