There’s just so much to eat everywhere with so much variety that I’m happy just staying in the comfort of my neighbourhood.

That's an interesting idea, a chocolate themed buffet, and it looks and sounds really innovative and yummy. Yet another place to look into if ever I make it out to Singapore! If there's anything else to do out there, I'm sure I'll stumble onto it, but I'm going there to EAT.
Tampines Hub is not exactly a mall... It is massive facility that integrates community services, recreational sports and retail shopping in one location :)

It houses amenities like badminton courts, swimming pool, gym, soccer stadium and the library for residents to enjoy. Usually a free movie is also screened everynight for residents to enjoy but now it's free live streaming of the world cup. Usually I eat at the mini hawker centre there but now that I know, I'll have to try your recommendation! :)
Yes! It’s basically a community centre! Some facilities are free while things like the gym and swimming pool can be accessed for a small fee, around $2-$3 sing dollars (which is about 1-2 usd). Oh yes the public library there is da bomb too. U can also sign up for various classes there at a cheaper price, they have cooking classrooms, studios and even a 3d printer studio

Interesting. In many cuisines chocolate is a non-sweet ingredient. Consider how bitter it is unsweetened. Salt it a little (with or without sugar) and it becomes more complex. It's like coffee that way. I'm surprised that they seem to have leaned so heavily into the sweet notes here.

The first mall Mike ate in was Our Tampines Hub, not Tampines Mall. And Nuodle is a chain, they have branches outside of the East, he definitely didn’t need to travel for that haha

also, if you plate soups/sauuces in a bowl, you can make it look a hell of a lot more presentable by portioning half a ladel at a time. its not meant to hold all the liquid in it if you scoop it to the brim. if you go slow, it will look ten times cleaner and your aesthetics will pop.
East side is the best side! So happy that you're finally here!!! Tampines has a lot of stuff!! And Tampines Hub is actually a govt own building where they have the indoor sports hall, public swimming pool and all the centres offering govt services for housing and savings etc. Tampines is one of the bigger estates so they have one of these. YES to this chocolate buffet!! MY favourite one!

Next time you ever go to the east side of Singapore, take 1 more mrt stop to Pasir Ris station. Go to Pasir Ris Hawker Centre (just across the street from the mrt station) and try this stall Prawnaholic. In my opinion they serve the best Prawn noodle in Singapore. And antoher stall call Reimondo, which serve the best seafood porridge/congee in Singapore.
If I had the money, being retired I would travel to places he's gone to just to try the food. But for now, I really enjoy watching his shows. Thanks Mike.
