You are the only few food youtuber that I still follow. I've gotten tired of the over the top reaction after each bite they took and all the crazy editing. Your videos are very good and calming. Just a food lover that enjoys food like normal people (no fake reaction). Thank you for keeping that format and being truth to yourself after all these years
Absolutely love your videos and content. You seem like a genuinely nice person. Always so happy and polite. Thank you for sharing your experiences and all the hard work involved in putting them together
Oh yes I have fond memories of this buffet - used to visit this hotel with my folks as a kid, when it was still known as Traders’ Hotel (it’s since rebranded to J65). Love how it’s tucked away outside the main Orchard Road strip too!
Tim, I should know better by now to not watch your video without a snack or two on hand. This was lobster overload! Thank you for taking us along on your culinary finds. Now, I need to get some lunch.
Tim and his potato salad... i'm Austrian and i wish i could invite you to eat our special dish from the "wild West" of Austria - Käsknöpfle (littel cheese noodels - all made from scratch) with potatos alad. i think your would like it - and it is so diffrent from the lovely seafood you eat (i love it - all kind of seafood, also we have a complete other culture of eating - as Austria has no sea)... I love your channel!!! Thanks for taking us round the world and all those lovely buffets
I think I would love that dish as well and I was going to type the name here but for the life of me I don't think I would be able to spell it. Thank you again so much and this is definitely a dish I will try to make myself.
So glad I've had three nights of seafood - and now watching this - haha. Had Singapore Chili crab tonight - last night garlic butter Silver Bream fish - night before that Cajun prawns, Mortan bay bugs and crawfish!
Wow, that lobster feast was absolutely incredible 🤩I'm so thrilled they offer such a diverse selection, going beyond just the usual boiled lobster. And by the way, I still can't wrap my head around the fact that you're not a fan of durian 😶🌫 Great video Tim 😄
Thanks David! They certainly had a lot of variety. Unfortunately I was there a little too late and missed the king crab. Maybe next time. By the way, I found out something interesting, did you know Sriracha didn't originate in Vietnam nor california? The interesting things you find out from a tour guide in bangkok....
The various lobsters with sauces all looked good. But then the Indian station looked even better. Desserts looked like jewels. Very jealous! Hello from foggy and cloudy Corvallis Oregon.
I had to watch the whole video. This is one of those must try buffets of the world for Southeast Asean foods. That prime rib in braising sauce looked incredible. Having authentic Indian food a corner away from awesome seafood is a foodie's dream. Enjoy another food paradise, Tim! Gracious as always

Hi Tim , I’m frm india Bangalore. Kodivaruval is a popular South Indian chicken delicacy. The chicken is marinated and cooked until tender. Later it is stir fried briefly with aromatics like curry leaves and spices for a burst of flavors. Loved the lobster mania buffet
That was a LOT of lobster! Especially at the price point (considering how much it costs for just.a single piece here in NY). Always enjoy your videos! You have such a genuinely kind nature to you (that kind of reminds me of my dad) and I always enjoy your videos as a result. Glad you had such a great meal.
Welcome to Singapore! Glad you enjoyed the J65 lobsters which I've also featured in my RUclips Channel. Anyway, if you want a Seafood Buffet that is more amazing, go to Shanghai. The buffet there is actually of another level
Try the Festive & Lobster buffet at Southeast Asia's first Express Cafe & Bar in Holiday Inn Express & Suites Singapore Novena. They have the most heavenly lobster laksa, 'kam heong' lobster, Roast Beef with Bak Kut Teh Jus, Turkey with Nonya Buah Keluak black nut stuffing, and Baked Ham with Sugarcane Molasses, amongst others, all paying tribute to the heritage of the area. Just tried it last weekend and absolutely wonderful, alongside their signature Sugarcane cocktail.
I like how they served the Lobster in multiple sauces. As always your tip of using the Bisque as a dipping sauce is a great idea. As a former Restaurant manager, having theses Lobster nights mid-week to drive business is the way to go. That is if it's not offered all week.
Hello Tim Lee wow sound amazing food looking Rocking Jamming yummy & Delicious finally selection Lobster I like Indian Lobster curry sauce enjoy food trip Singapore stay safe 🙏🏼🌹watching from California happy thanksgiving 🦃🍁🍽
Tim, The Indian Layered dessert looked very light and tasty. Tamago tip I will have to try. Favorite lobster, gheez, darn difficult to choose. Likely all of them. I broiled two 4oz lobster tails with a butter / garlic sauce for dinner this evening. Pretty good though pales in comparison. My dessert is refrigerated peanut butter right out of the jar. Also good though not as exotic as that served at your dinner. Lobster bisque looked tasty. Best
Kodi varuval is a South Indian spicy chicken dish. Not so common at buffets but indian food is popular at buffets these days globally. The lobsters look fantastic.😊 The desserts look like the kueh i told you about at Bengawan Solo. The green one with glutinous rice below is Kueh Salat - made of coconut kaya. Known in Malaysia as seri muka. Nyonya is pronounced as "No -nia". If you went to a traditional Chinese kopitiam try the Kaya Toast. kaya spread is available in jars to take home to Canada if you like. Examples of kopitiam at malls - Breadtalk, Wang, Yakun. I love Earl Grey anything! My daughter and my cousins love Earl Grey too! We are in Australia n those cousins are in Toronto!
Loves your videos. My family are absolute foodies and buffet freaks. Can you please suggest a seafood buffet in Vegas, Seoul, Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh city, Singapore, Bangkok, Tokyo? Or any buffet(s) in one of these cities that stands out? An absolute must go! Thank you so much.
My goodness! Are you doing a lot of traveling? If you can make the buffet at the M resort on Sundays in vegas, it is a nice experience but the reservation list is long. The copper buffet in Bangkok was definitely very worthwhile.
hi Tim , I watch all your vids & enjoy them all. wish i could go with you everywhere. I'm in Phuket,Thailand so if your going to thailand would love to meet you.
So much lobster for a very good price. A question; is there no alcohol served at restaurants in Singapore? I like when you enhance the eating experience with wine or champagne. I always become hungry when you have potato salad or potatoes served in any form. I love potatoes! 😂 Another enjoyable video, Tim. Many thanks for taking me along. 👍🏻🌹👍🏻
I think generally beer is available...wine is also available but it needs to be imported in, and with the high taxes in Singapore, you're probably paying over $100 for a $20 bottle of wine. The fellow at one of the restaurants mentioned this.
Alcohol can be found at restaurants. However , only bars & restaurants with the appropriate licenses are allowed to sell alcoholic beverages till midnight. Stores with liquor licenses are only allowed to sell alcoholic beverages till 10.30pm daily, these include convenience stores and retails shops and no drinking in public areas like parks after 10.30 pm till 7am. Singapore has strict drinking laws to avoid drunk people causing disturbance in neighbourhoods.
