Complete 1993 Nightmare Before Christmas Vintage Toy collection action figures
A Brief History of The Nightmare Before Christmas Toys and Collectibles
www.entertainm...
When The Nightmare Before Christmas premiered in late October 1993, Disney, the studio behind it, wasn’t so sure they’d have a hit on their hands with this strange, stop-animated attempt to infuse All Hallows’ Eve haunts with Yuletide cheer. (Or is it the other way around?)
On the one hand, the studio wanted it to be a success, so much so that they used Tim Burton’s name as a marketing strategy for the first time. Although Burton-acclaimed for directing Beetlejuice (1988), Edward Scissorhands (1990) and Michael Keaton’s two outings as Batman (in 1989 and 1992)-had conceived of and written Nightmare, he didn’t direct it; Henry Selick did, in his feature-directing debut.
On the other hand, Disney was leery enough of the movie’s admittedly bizarre imagery and often macabre humor, worthy of Edward Gorey and Charles Addams, to release it under its more mature Touchstone label. - Кино
I miss spoke. it is the Mayor the politician with the 'Two Faces" not the clown with the tear-away face.
WOW, THAT IS BEING A TRULY DEDICATED COLLECTOR.👊🏽👍🏽👍🏽

Thank you bro, can't wait for that amazing room tour!!!
OMG awesome! Though I have a lot of Nightmare before XMAS I have few of the figures from the actual time the movie came out. I only have Applause Lock Shock and Barrel cake toppers.
Great video, thanks for showing these and providing the neat facts, very cool!
Morticia
JekyllHydeClub 👊🏾❤️ a classic love the movie. This is one of those movies I never want them to make a sequel of. The original should stand alone in my opinion!!!!
I have the Santa Claus Jack skeleton one back in the day and I even have a Jack skeleton doll too
Awesome video, Calvin. I still have my ticket stub from 1993 in a plastic card protector (I was in 10th grade). I also purchased some of these at KB Toys and the Jun Planning Lock, Shock and Barrel + Jack and Sally 2 pack coffin I got at a comic book store; I plaid like $150 each for those way back when because they weren’t available In the US (this is Pre eBay). I remember there was a site called the pumpkin patch which was the only online site you were able to purchase NBX. Good seeing you post a video of this.
Mazinger.e wow you still have the movie ticket, that is friken awesome.are you talking about the ones in the coffin? I have a couple of those too...I remember that site too, thanks so much for checking out the video and commenting 👍🏽👊🏽
Wow , i didnt think their were other people who still kept their old movie ticket stubs too.
Ive got a huge pile of em going back to mid 80's till probably late 90's early 2000's.
This makes me wanna dig em up and see em all again .
Their with my 1st gen dc card collection in their own card holders in the back too so they gotta be still intact.
Just gotta find the box i stored them in 🤞
I’m so happy I came across this video. I absolutely love this movie. I just bought Santa jack and I hope I can collect the rest . I love jack so much so I’m just happy with the one I have but wow I wish I had all the ones you have 😂
I so glad you liked it.

I sure did oops!! Thanks so much for taking the time to check it out much appreciated 👊🏾👍🏾
I just picked up the jack, and sally figure and the root beer promotion inflatable unused for 40 bucks not to bad :p
matt jenkins not bad at all, thanks for checking out the video👍🏽👊🏽
@@STATUEFANATIC did you ever hear abut dsnwy rebotting the never ending atoey in live acthiob.
Tim Burton only had a story by credit. James and the Giant Peach is my favorite Henry Selick film. I had high hopes for Monkey Bone until Ben Stiller left the project due to studio interference. Wish Hollywood would stop cucking directors.
👊👍👍
What batteries does Jack use to speak
dude i need those were you get dem
You are looking at 28 years of collecting, I got most of them the 1st or second year they came out back in 1993. I remember finding a lot of them in a discount bin, at KBToys when i was stationed at Anderson AFB in Guam in 1993, thanks so much for watching.
Very nice! Could you say which is the most complete collection of characters from Nightmare Before Christmas, please?
Not sure I understand the question. this franchise has become so popular with so many companies obtaining this license. I would say the original collection from 1983 would be the most desired and sought after pieces. Those are the pieces in the collection in this video. thanks for checking out the video.
you got Facebook or Instagram
First let me apologize for such a delayed response. I normally respond pretty quickly to comments. I Had to take small break for youtube. And yes sir i do have both facebook and IG. IG is STATUEFANATIC and facebook is the same. facebook.com/calvin.smith.376
Thanks you so much for taking the time to check out the video and channel 👊🏾
Why did you not open the toys
I have an entire set opened that I have displayed for years. Thanks for checking out the video!!!!
My favorite movie. I wish I would of kept up with my nightmare stuff from when I was a kid. It all somehow I either broke, got lost during a move, or thrown away when we moved into a smaller house... I think about rebuying things off ebay, but that feels like cheating. it doesn't feel as genuine
compared to when you find it out in the wild
