Burlap:
I bought 12 yards of burlap fabric and used almost all of it (but I did use some for the jack costume as well, so you may need closer to 10 yards)- I paid a little under $3 per yard at Joanns BUT, Walmart also has burlap (just FYI)
One other tip with burlap- I bought burlap that had larger holes, but there was burlap available with much much smaller holes- get the smallest holes available!!! Mine was much more see through than I wanted.👌🏻

These are neat costumes. You are good at painting. Another way to save a little money on stuffing is to use the stuffing from pillows.
Hey! So awesome!!! Just a hint to all!.. I make lots of stuffed toys... Buy the $2.50 walmart standard pillows and cut them open and use the polyfill inside!.. So much cheaper and is the same thing!!

You could also use aluminum foil bunched/rolled up and glue down to the mask instead of clay for anyone wanting to make that costume

Love it. But for the OOGIE BOOGIE BODY YOU CAN USE FUSIBLE WEBBING INSTEAD OF HOT GLUE. YOU CUT THE WEBBING INTO STRIPS, PLACE INBETWEEN MATERIAL SEEMS AND PRESS WITH HOT IRON. And VOILA NOT BURNT FINGERS AND ITS PERMANENT AND WASHABLE. BUY AT ANY SEWING OR XRAFTONG STORE.

I mad a oogie boogie costume inspired by the same person but I found that an ok ball cap with out the bill is much easier to use than anything else and it can be adjusted to fit multiple people

How long would you say it took you to make the Oogie-boogie costume?
Most of this doesn't take long, like maybe a day. Longest part is waiting for the mask to dry. So far my mask has been drying for about 2 days, but product says up to 72 hours
If I was JUST doing this it would have all been finished in 1 day! (Besides the mask curing!) 👌🏻👌🏻

Shamar Stubbs yes!! It was fabric! I thought it was plastic when I bought it because the wrapping was covering it, so I was worried it wouldn’t turn out too great but it worked out just fine!!👌🏻
