    Thank you for this information.
I've had mild short episodes at night- at different times as well. Sometimes I'd wake up with a sense of tremor going through my body. Placing my hand on my chest, I'd feel the irregular beat. I have learned from others about the cold/icy face splash/dunk. I'd sponge down with the cold water as well, even my feet. It felt like i was overheated or dehydrated. Yet, i think i drink enough during the day and i have water by my bedside every night. And my bedding is light weight and my window is always open.
I'm monitoring my own symptoms, triggers, sleeping habits, activities, food intakes, etc.
My senses from reading about other people's experiences is that we've had similar experiences but it still is an individual journey with AFIB. One really has to fine-tune what one needs according to our individual situation, especially when there's comorbidity.
The cardiologist i saw a month ago told me to stop taking the metoprolol (25gm daily) as my heart rate is on the low side. I've found that the brain fog had gone and my balance is much better. I'm in my early sixties.

I favor sleeping on my left side. When I do sleep on my left side my left nostril closes. I have to turn on my right side and blow to open the left side up. I never get good sleep. Sometimes I wake up with low bp and super high pulse that wakes me because it feels like my heart is beating out of my chest. Like 117/65 110

The two known Afib episodes I had, were both while sleeping. Both times were due to being on a week vacation, where I was drinking daily. Woke up at 3-3:30am with a rapid heart rate and palpitations. Both time is took around 4 hours to get back to sinus rhythm.

Thank you for this video. I have sleep apnea and was wondering what side is best to sleep on to avoid a fib or at least to protect the heart.

In the UK, trying to discuss Vagal Atrial Fibrillation with the NHS, they just pull a funny face, shrug, and treat you as if you are a crazy person who only speaks in Eskimo.

@@SLooch75 I imagine it doesn’t apply. I think it has to do the the sleep apnea improving with a lower body weight and neck circumference

I think possibly ...my vagal nerve I believe it's called might be causing issues when I'm standing during the day .I feel like I start loosing strength, light headed their are other issues also .my son started doing deep dive into searching he came up with my vagal nerve. Also as I feel it's close to time going poop😂sorry 🤗
This is the time that it usually disturbs me. I've come to connect that same time as feeling close to having to go to the bathroom this comes on to me. It happened just today I took my BP and my heart rate was up by quite a bit. I really don't want to go to the doctors I'm so tired of stuff like this. Good luck to you!
