The only thing I feel like I’m missing is character creation. I know that’s never been that big a deal in most popular ARPGs like the Diablos before 4 but after getting the option in 4 that aspect feels like a step back. Kinda makes me wanna choose the character that looks most fitting to what I’d make and I just have to use the playstyle it comes with.
I bought this game tried it out got bored pretty quick ( two hours game play) with it, but I want to give it a second try could be that the toon I made wasn't for me or that it for me was just not my type of game and I gave into the hype lol
Playing a class that fits your arpg gameplay style is reaaaallly important. Prob the most important. When I play these games I always play melee... I love it so much. Whenever I play a ranged character I struggle to stay motivated to play. I would def think hard about how you like to play these kinds of games, and that should keep the fun going for you
yup. just played last epoch, and its system strikes a lot of resemblence to ragnarok, im sure other games has them too, it might not be directly inspired by the game.@@yunghysterik
I've only messed around with Warlock a bit, but it feels like that quintessential dark caster. There are so many different spell schools to use and tons of pain to bring to enemies. It's a ton of fun for sure.
No, there's no extra benefit you get for having alt characters other then the shared stash. Any gear you found on your main you can give to your alts as long as they meet the level requirements. Low level Weaver's Will items are very powerful for this! :)
so why is the druid/primalist in these kind of games...never really seen them been top tier, and takes at least a couple of patches to be on pair with other classes....
Really amazing video, thanks for the informative overview. Tip for the next time: Please turn off your BNet-Launcher (and any other sources of annoying sounds). You can even do it mid-video when you notice it and cut it out, doesn't matter, but that sound is really annoying at times. :) Other than that, great video, especially for a new beginner to the game. Can't wait to jump into the full release later.
I will be sure to turn those off! I noticed it half way through as well... They were supposed to be turned off in my settings, but something was wrong.
Ohhhh it's a close call... I'm actually league starting as a combo. I'm using Beast Master as my Mastery, but I'm also adding prob up to 20 passive points into Shaman.
@@ZucoWoW you can transform it into a melee and a channeled ability. The biggest thing tho is the MASSIVE amounts of ward it grants. People running around with 30k 40k and even 50k ward
@@kylekilgore291 Ward is def the best defensive option in the game right now. I've run a bunch of Primalist builds, both Shaman and BM, and it's been really interesting solving the defensive puzzle without using Ward. Lots of leech, HP regen and flat damage reduction does the trick for now, but I would like to see EHG expand on the defensive layers for classes and Masteries that don't utilize Ward at all.
@@ZucoWoW yeah I played hammerdin with zero ward and just used leech and armor and capped resist. Can clear around 300 corrupt with it but wanted more defense so rolled another pally
If you like the rune master, you'd like playing the remake of Gauntlet, where the wizard has a similar system of spell casting, just with 2 spells per combination rather than 3.

Yes! You can make them no longer decay, BUT, then you're limited to only 2 Wraiths at a time.

is it just me or the class systme resembles a lot like the old classic Ragnarok Online. The Rogue even has a falcon

I really want them to rework Forge Guard. I love the concept, but it's lacking.

What do you mean, i am loving it. Multistrike smiter with forged weapons is just insane
@Alrizand its damn great, it just needs some creativity and craft a weapon for ignite and bleed, fast hitting 1 hander and watch everything melt
