You realy know your cars. I have a Giulietta with the same engine and it shows you know what you are talking about, and it is always great to see the videos, of course. Thanks.
At first sign I thought it was a special edition known as "MiTo QV Maserati Edition" because of some features like metallic blue paint and brown/cognac leather interiors standard on the Maserati Gran Turismo and not only. It really looks like it but I don't see any plate whch mentions that special edition. As an ex AR Giulietta Multiair owner I really want to make you an applause for bringing this car to your channel.
@@Zentrify They could've done it like the Giulietta, it'd look like a 3 door still. It's a choice they made to not do a 3 door Giulietta and a 5 door MiTo for cost i think. Makes sense with a lineup this small
Nice review, glad to see some love for my car on this channel, thank you ! But I think you had a little turbo pressure problem with this one and you should have turned off the A/C, it's a little engine and the power difference is significant without it !
Same designer. Juan Manuel Diaz designed an 8C that was affordable for his pocket. One day while working at Alfa he was asked to design a B-segment hatchback and there he took up the idea he had sketched with the "cheap 8C"
Loved mine, tuned it to 255hp. Added some chassis braces.. defenitly turns it into a fun hothatch. Also had the original 1 off GTA sabelts seats that i still have for sale🙃 upgraded to a Giulietta Veloce that is just the perfect daily-fun car for me
This car has maybe something wrong with the engine. Stock MiTo QV 2010 170hp model had on dyno 188hp(when was new) and lack of turbo pressure after 5,500rpm is strange.
I’ve the 1.3 jtd version but the same design, the QV version needs a little modificatons, 30 hp more, the spacers for wheel, and about 3 centimetres lower, especially at the rear, it’s perfect for the city and for italian street! It’s very funny
There Musst be a boost leak. I've got the same car and it holds full boost till redline. And my car is faster then the one in this video. 100% a problem with the engine and it's not making full power.
Had a red one with remap at about 190bhp ans with Sabelt seats. It was really awesome, little car :) but ofcourse still I didn't consider it as a hothatch
I do not know why but it feels as though my 09' 1.4 TB (non MA) is faster. I do have a tune on it from Squadra tuning. Where it is rated to do ~177/300 in dynamic. (though that was 9 years ago and with 100.000KM's+ less on the odo) I also think this car may have longer gearing than the non-QV model, do I cannot tell for certain with this video.
These engines feel lame with E10/RON95. Had a Squadra chip as well on my T-Jet and now a H&S chip (with larger turbo) but even stock it runs far better on E5/RON98
Great car, together with Giulietta it is extremely underrated. I do not like the steering wheel which both share, also DNA mode is a gimmick as N has too insensitive gas pedal with good steering weight, but D has too stiff and not communicative steering with good gas pedal on petrol cars, but almost unusable on diesels as the cur jumps when you just touch the pedal. But the worst thing about it is that it does not feel right, all the power is in the first 20% of the pedal travel, while the rest is empty space doing no power gain, basically fake as any bad tuner will do. Besides that, the air-con wants to be smart by constantly changing things I set to manual, and two speed for wipers is basically one speed with half a second difference, totally unusable. This and the leg vent for the driver on Giulietta blowing air up and forward instead of down and back is the worst about those cars, so nothing too serious but still annoying.
agree with Max on image of this car, if you want a shouty Fiat hatch, just get a Abarth Punto! I''m surprised by the way of Max's impression on how this car lacks power. Even struggling to find the right rpm to shift shouldn't make this car as slow it is on video, it lacks at least 30 hp I think.
The engine is for an 1.4 litre really good and fast. Dont judge before you drove one of them. I have the same engine in my Giulietta and in Dynamic mode i blew away alot of cars which have also more capacity enginewise.
My heart jumped when i finally saw a thumbnail with a reagular non-german car. I am happy.

Those a pillars are massive.
They are. But watch some crashtests with the Mito and you will why.
As they should be. That thing is hardly bigger than a bowling ball.
Alfaaa yes, would be cool to see a giulietta qv as well, not many if any at all reviews out there
Omg that blue is so beautiful :O this is the kind of paintjob that every car deserves
Finally not a other german car, thanks bro 🤩
Thanks for this beautiful video review of an alternative car, really enjoyed, that car was so underestimated. I hope to see other reviews like this.
love to see that squeeky windows are just a mito thing ;)
SO TRUE….

Yesss, I have a Mito 155 tuned to 260hp and a Giulietta 170. Really happy seeing a Mito on your channel 🥰

Until you drive the MiTo and be severely disappointed. Pretty car, but it's not a good car. Slow, no steering feel. Awful.
