The SP500 is already about 4% NVIDIA which is decent enough exposure if it continues to grow. 100% growth of the company is a 4% return by itself. If NVIDIA is growing it likely means that AI demand is growing and other companies will likely also grow as a result. Its a lot cuz congress banned all other non US companies to rival in the AI boom. And Nvidia has the biggest market share making it the leader to invest in. Look into how some congress people made 8 million in one day after banning compatition for Nvidia
Congress banned AMD, Microsoft, Google, etc? Nvidia has dominated GPGPU since GPGPU was created, no one who followed enterprise GPU markets is surprised by how much market share Nvidia is taking. AI has simply ballooned the size of a market they were dominant in, just like we saw when crypto exploded in the gaming GPU market.
it could be a somewhat appropriate valuation if they were more public on industrial application. Every company has been foaming at the mouth adding AI to every possible sentence the past couple years, whether this is more surface level plugin, full scale data warehouses, or even cloud computing is a grey area. I think consumer trust in tech futures is overwhelmingly optimistic and doesn't budge as much as it should when companies bold face lie repeatedly about future applications that will never be delivered. i personally dont see the value in ai being what is claimed. they wont make a custom program in one take, nor will any code be bug free, they are not sentient nor will they ever be, quantum computing isn't coming out in the next quarter regardless of the publication who claims it... if you perform a repeated action in a code setting you would already have working macros to plug and chug, the real value it brings is in mass production of generic content/spam/surveillance...

While I completely agree with your stance and want something similar, the last part is also a very naive statement. "How much has AI in its current state actually changed end-users for the better?" A lot more than you would think. First off, the technologies that power modern AI have been in development for at least 15 years, and those had to be researched and mature before we could attempt what we have right now. Mostly Machine Learning, which you might think "Yeah, I've heard of it but how has it actually made my life better?". This is because this is the kind of technology that is transparent to an end user unless they decide to really market it. Since it's barely even considered AI to the vast majority of people, it didn't get marketed. But in reality, Machine learning (or rather, mass-computational trial and error) makes development cycles go faster when properly used. It's a supporting technology that makes your life better by making other people get products to you faster. However, it takes time, a lot of it to get robust tools that can integrate with the industry to be efficient, and AI would be no different; It's so new that people haven't quite figured out how to use it to make our lives better, but that alone doesn't mean it won't, and even *if* AI itself doesn't help, the technologies it pioneers in pursuit of its own improvement most certainly will be helpful in many aspects of society.
