You've been the main driving force behind me wanting to learn CW. Not sure if I'm happy about that or not. My wife will certainly not be happy when I start looking at all the new radios. Really like that KH1, that might be my dedicated CW only radio. I also plan to get a 6200 or similar sized QRP rig for CW and SSB. But I love seeing all the different radios you bring out to the field. Thanks for the videos. 73
Thanks for doing your videos real time. Especially antenna deployment. I'm still trying to get my first CW QSO, it will come soon! Hope you will bring huuuund!!! again on your next video! 73 de EI3LH
Thomas, Your videos show how after a traumatic event, folks can keep going and do those things that are fun and bring peace to our hearts. In all the piles of destruction you drive on. Good on Ya Thomas . Thank you for what you do....... Even if you have cost me lots of money hihi..... If you ever get to TN, I would love to share a table with you at a park.. DE W4EMB.
I do not think you are disorganized. Love your videos, you inspired me to purchase a mint KX3 [low serial number] and learning CW. Love how you throw up those antennas in the trees vs. a vertical.
Another great Video Tom. but unfortunately I missed you on this one. and have missed spotting you couple more times lately. ! But I'll keep looking. got to catch you sometime. But I did see my Friend Pete, WA2JMG caught and worked you he sounded great 599!. so fear not! I'll catch up to you one day for sure tnx fer all the activations and video's they are great! 72! de Ellis WA1RKS
Funny when you get those paths into one state. Last week I had 20 minutes to activate, and out of 13 contacts, 7 were from Indiana. It seems I had the bearing set for Indianapolis with the 4’ whip on my KH1.
You can configure your watch to display UTC time just below the regular time. I know the math isn't hard to do, but with daylight savings and rushed activations it can be nice to have it there.
Hi Thomas. I’m still practicing and very green to CW. I have a question. I follow your videos and I also reference your Qrper website to see if what I hear and what you have written down are the same. For your first contact in the video I hear KD9UYC. It looks like you hear KD9JYC. Am I mistaken on what I hear?
I loved the video... not your smoothest deployment, but everybody has been there... It's good to know, I'm not the only one. I hope the recovery goes well. And that your family has a wonderful, and memorable Thanksgiving! 72 de W7UDT ID sk ee

So glad you are doing something “normal” during the recovery process. Good for your soul. 73

Glad you're back!
I keep missing your activations. One day I’ll hunt you. Thanks for inspiring me to learn CW. It is one of the funnest things I do!

The White House Christmas tree is from Western North Carolina this year… Merry Christmas!

Nice setup. Haven't seen you for a bit. Be safe.
I heard you on 20 meters, but every time you’re on it’s like a DX pileup 😂 72 de N4DJC

Nice activation Thomas, thanks for the video. Were all the picnic tables removed or were they broken in Storm Helena? 44/72, Carel PA0CMU
I have to ask... why do people pronounce "Helene" like heeleene, and not properly like Heylen or Hélène (comme en français)?
