"But a massive new study, based on detailed interviews of nearly 30,000 people across America, has concluded just the opposite. Harvard political scientist Robert Putnam -- famous for "Bowling Alone," his 2000 book on declining civic engagement -- has found that the greater the diversity in a community, the fewer people vote and the less they volunteer, the less they give to charity and work on community projects. In the most diverse communities, neighbors trust one another about half as much as they do in the most homogeneous settings. The study, the largest ever on civic engagement in America, found that virtually all measures of civic health are lower in more diverse settings."

@@AfroMillennialMomma and nonetheless, we are one and the same, capable of the same, living under the same sky but with different circumstances. everyone experiences and grows through life differently, but we all must reach that familiar road before we pass from this life. Differences don't have to mean division. Seek understanding and may you be blessed with understanding, peace be to you. "Live for yourself, you will live in vain. Live for others, you will live again." Pass it on. Sometimes we take for granted the life we have here as we are distracted daily by things that pollute our minds more than cleanse them. The sun rises each day and the moon provides light for the darkness, these two simple facts carry an abundance of love not only for the world in which those things were made for but also everything that is here. Us. Everything. The world continues on and on, with or without us. It's cycle continues and continues and it never stops. This world is a creation that is in perfect harmony with itself and that harmony never ceases, that is love for the world and its life. We are flesh, nevertheless the complexity of our bodies and how they work day in and day out, giving us what we need, taking out what we don't need, and also in a continual cycle just as the universe around us is, in love until there is no breath of life for our bodies of course. And who provides that breath of life? The Father that sits in Heaven. We are forever. We were created with love and care as was this world and thats something amongst many other things that shouldn't be forgotten as we are born into this world that is oversaturated with meaningless things that occupy our minds, things that stem from evil for the only purpose of distracting us from the wonder and beauty that life really holds. All the media, fear, negativity, vanity, it does absolutely nothing for us but spread corruption on ourself if we pay mind to it. That all means nothing but darkness and corruption and is brought to us by evil. Nonetheless, light and darkness were created so that we may learn of these things. Let go of vanity. We gotta choose life in the face of it, we gotta choose to pay attention to life rather than the darkness that is meant to take away life and our appreciation towards it. The grace of life in front of us is what should be consumed, the sympathy to help others feel good about life. We gotta have an outlook of love and understanding for the world because thats what we don't have much of, love and understanding. We have division because of greed and greed because of lack of love and lack of love because of power that is exhibited in vain, without love. But love is harmony. The creation of the universe has been in harmony since the beginning. So we must become one, we must harmonize with the world each day with gratitude for it and care for all. The division of color is a man made idea which has been allowed to flourish by the wrongdoings and outlooks of man. The disharmony of mankind is the "glitch in the matrix", a lack of faith which in turn makes one weak in the face of evil causing the battle between light and dark. We can alter the mishap of allowing evil to speak or act for us which has lead us to the darkness we see today in this world. There is no benefit on the path that is dark, only misguidance and deceitful emotion. You are loved, even if you may not realize it. The world around you loves you each day, even if the world around us doesn't want us, we are loved by what it provides by Him, because we are here for His Loving Plan, not anyone else's. So spread love without looking for reward and resist evil, so that we all may have harmony with one another, in love and understanding. Love your neighbor and do unto another as you would like done unto you, no matter who it is. Live in joy for the memories of those that have passed. Love your Creator, always and give thanks to the Father who sits in heaven, always. Spread love and His truth that is His light, and resist the adversary, always. We all have another self, an angel, a soul. Your consciousness telling you something isn't right to do or is wrong to do? That is because it has already been established in the heavens that it is not right. Light and darkness, good and evil, love and hate, these things and more were created so that we may know and learn of these things. So we may know the evil sin brings and also the good righteousness brings so that we may find the strength in reflection, through Faith, to turn from evil and be better to others when we speak and act, to realize the only path and purpose we were created for, for the Plan of the Creator of everything. And all good things come from Yahweh, so you must reverence if you will. When the end comes soon and a new beginning is nigh', will there be forgiveness and mercy for you? I ask myself the same question. We are passing through life, not time. Remember that and let love flow. Protect and feed the children and the poor. Man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Creator! Turn away from evil, In all things you do reverence the source of the Creation and do all things with love and righteousness for the Glory of the Creator(not the glory of men) and the Glory due to Him, do so through His Son Yahshua Messiah and the Holy Spirit. May YaHWeH bless your understanding and through His Son, Yahshua Messiah, may you all find truth in the past away from deceit, lies and willful ignorance so that we may experience His love, blessings and mercy and His only truth, forever. We don't have much time here to see, hear and wake up. Ignorance is not bliss for that "bliss" that comes from ignorance is an illusion and therefore, an imagination of happiness that stems from the branch of the evil one. Do not forget where you have came from, do not forget the Source of all life and the mercy and gift of Salvation that is upon us for He wants you to be saved, reverence His Loving Name. Peace be unto you all. Choose life and love life, also honor those who have passed by living and serving others in happiness and righteousness, for by serving others, we serve The Heavenly Father, and by choosing to embrace life rather than the things that take away life, we grow in His love and ever closer to His Plan that has been established since the very beginning. All Glory be to Yahweh through His Son, Yahshua Messiah, the High Priest and King of Kings and through the Holy Spirit. The key to love is understanding. Be wary of deceit, be wary and love Him so that you may be able to discern right from wrong. Serve Him by serving others and do not be subject to the philosophies filled with deceit of the men of this age, do not be deceived by the Roman Catholic church. Come soon, Yahshua Messiah! For the day comes that no one will weep no more, all Praise and Glory be to the Heavenly Father, Yahweh. PRAISE HIM, LOVE HIM, REVERENCE HIM FOR ALL GOOD THINGS COME FROM THE HEAVENLY FATHER! It’s about time we see more asians in leading roles . I’ve been so excited for more Asian /african american stories since Romeo Must Die and Rush Hour 🎉❤️ lets GO!
@Mr. Nyce Guy "show me bw representation in Asian movies" exactly why it is rare..and now these directors are trying to make this more common. If u are against change, then I think u have problem.
@Mr. Nyce Guy lmfao this film is an Asian film made by Asian directors, they could’ve added a white or asian gf, but chose black for representation. So your comment is straight up false
“My mom is responsible but she doesn’t believe in me, but my dad is irresponsible but he does believe in me” wow....relatable but I also excited to see this film
Asian men pride themselves in providing and are family orientated not to mention high earners. I'm well pleased to see you sista's expanding your dating options.💜
A leading Chinese role that doesn’t make him look like a Stereotypical Asian man in an interracial relationship with a non white woman like any other stereotypical interracial relationship....this looks good. The black guy looks like he may be stereotypical but it is what it is lol
Watch them make the black guy a first generation Caribbean born UX design researcher currently doing his internship 😂 with his own legacy burdening him too. Give us diverse background characters plsss
if that's how the communities look and interact, what's not to like? There does need to be proper representation a lot more, though, so everybody can see more commonness and not as that different even though there's different styles to those differences.
No offense but that seems like something a white person would say. Just because white people are used to representation so they dont appreciate it as much as poc
Yes to Asian stories being told in a non-stereotypical light! Yes to Pop Smoke! And yes to a more rare form of interracial representation (especially being that she is a darker skin tone)!
@Mr. Nyce Guy Well Idc what you think lmao. I don't even date Asian men, so it's not like I'm looking for the validation of any with this comment. My underlying point is that it helps fight the stereotype that Black women are less attractive or less desirable to men around the world. & I don't want to hear anything about what it is or isn't like to be a Black woman from you either, because you wouldn't know. Our experiences are very different when it comes to being deemed "desirable" by the world. Speak less
@Mr. Nyce Guy Well the first part of my comment pertains to me specifically, since you decided to comment to me directly. The second half of the comment pertains to Black women as a collective. Yes, it would be nice if, on a global scale, Black women were not seen as less desirable, and equal to women of other races. But do I, personally, seek any validation from men in youtube comments, no. They are two very different situations. I feel like you already know this and are just being harsh towards Black women anyway because you have some harbored negative feelings toward us, that or you're not even tuned into the struggles of Black women enough to realize & sympathize. In either case, there'd be no more I can do for/tell you
@@xXTrakkStarrXx I say I think you should be careful when you use the Term Black Women cause when you say black women I think of the Majority in Africa Saying they are not desirable is an to me as a African man is insulting Cause black Women here in Africa and Western Europe are very desired especially Africa. Just don't look too much into the bad lil sis
@Mr. Nyce Guy Asian women dating outside their race and Black men dating outside theirs is predictable, and expected. Nothing is new there. Now that Asian men are making serious coin their Asian women are starting to come back to them🤪. Black women’s loyalty to Black men used to be legendary but I believe unappreciated by their own race of men. Once those Black ladies decide to date outside their race at the same rate as Black men watch how quickly Black men’s desirability reduces in the eyes of these other races of women. One of the reason women of other racial groups desire black men is due to Black women. They think there must be something special about a black man if black women are that loyal. But sadly that won’t be the case.
@Mr. Nyce Guy you had my reply removed. The words were too powerful for you to understand and let be. But remember the power behind the Black community is based on the appreciation of Black love. All of these commercials and advertisements targeting white and Asian men with Black women tells us one thing. Maybe a Black woman will make a movie about it so you can find out.
I thought the same until I went to my 15yo nephew basketball game right before Covid hit and my mouth dropped and eyes enlarged on how mature physically these teens looked from white, Asian, Hispanic and Black children. The boys statue, facial hair and voice could've fooled me into thinking they were men and the girls were fully developed. Mentally they were still child-like and immature but physical was adult-like. This generation is something for the history books 😧😧
My great aunt married a Chinese man when race mixing was not popular. They live in Harlem too. He was a rich man and treated her lovely. This was in the late 40's. Looking forward in seein the movie.
@Mr. Nyce Guy bro stop being a sadist..u just don't like to see people excited for something. How is it only in the movies...if ure defence is that u don't see it a lot. Then u must be inherently daft. That's exactly why movies like this are few. The types of lead characters we have on screen and the number of times we see them reflects the real life characters we see and their frequency

What this writer is doing, I have no problem with that expression so I don't think celebration or no celebration because we all have that freedom automatically like the movie Zebrahead was cool back in the day. It shouldn't be about saying black woman with Chinese/Asian man. That's too much emphasis. It should be man with woman so pass that if just going to be fully open to all. If you just take race out of the context then you can see better who you're suppose to be with, but reflected partially off the respect of ones differences like race, culture, religion, etc. because there's always going to be differences and everybody just being together doesn't mean that washes away that or makes better. Nobody belongs to anybody. Nobody owns no one somebody and I'm familiar with all my life seeing more black women in an interracial marriage or relationship through stuff like The Jeffersons, Blossom, Boy Meets World, James Bond, etc. Their seemed to be more stigma/non-acceptance for black men relating to realities of that. I don't see this movie as a breakthrough because dealing with black being with somebody outside the race has been done for the longest(Omega Man; Guess Who's Coming to Dinner; The World, The Flesh, and The Devil with Harry Belafonte). This comes basically when it should since there's not just black and white like through most of this country's history.

Live for others, you will live again."
Pass it on.

A leading Chinese role that doesn’t make him look like a Stereotypical Asian man in an interracial relationship with a non white woman like any other stereotypical interracial relationship....this looks good. The black guy looks like he may be stereotypical but it is what it is lol

I don’t like the whole black, white, Asian, Hispanic divide in Hollywood film. But since it is that way, it’s about time something like this came out.
if that's how the communities look and interact, what's not to like? There does need to be proper representation a lot more, though, so everybody can see more commonness and not as that different even though there's different styles to those differences.
It's actually.more like division between white hollywood and then everyone else none white. Lol
Refreshing
No offense but that seems like something a white person would say. Just because white people are used to representation so they dont appreciate it as much as poc
This movie is looking hella fire, Rest In Peace The Big W💫💫

In either case, there'd be no more I can do for/tell you
@Mr. Nyce Guy bro save your time, it’s not worth it. The whole paragraph just screams contradiction.
Girl you said nothing wrong. They’re so angry in these comments for no reason. This movie looks good 🔥
@@xXTrakkStarrXx I say I think you should be careful when you use the Term Black Women cause when you say black women I think of the Majority in Africa Saying they are not desirable is an to me as a African man is insulting Cause black Women here in Africa and Western Europe are very desired especially Africa. @Mr. Nyce Guy GTFO
@Mr. Nyce Guy it is strange that an Asian man speaking up for himself and a Black woman encouraging him triggers people🤔.
It's Alot of jealous black Guys in the comments, I see
"I prefer to go by my stripper name." LOLOLOOLOL
Honestly this should had been college the cast looks much older
Cos they ARE much older lol
I thought the same until I went to my 15yo nephew basketball game right before Covid hit and my mouth dropped and eyes enlarged on how mature physically these teens looked from white, Asian, Hispanic and Black children. The boys statue, facial hair and voice could've fooled me into thinking they were men and the girls were fully developed. Mentally they were still child-like and immature but physical was adult-like. This generation is something for the history books 😧😧

@Mr. Nyce Guy bro stop being a sadist..u just don't like to see people excited for something. How is it only in the movies...if ure defence is that u don't see it a lot. Finally instead of a darkskinned fully black woman not in a struggle love relationship with a black man in the hood. Tired of the same plot everytime, black women with Asian men are top tier
uhhh, why's that? It's not about favoring what kind of interracial relationship over others. Also if you want to see a certain story, maybe you should start writing.
yea your right.... she should write a her own story about it but there is a reason why she is lifting another race. Black women have constantly been put in this negative trope that they are in a loveless relationship again and again in media and they are put down and belittled by their own black men. Don’t be surprised when they start uplifting other races of men other than black men. Becuz that’s the same thing black men have been doing too. They are tired of it.
@@chriss4357 youre right that we should each work hard to create the change we want to see in the world. But we should also celebrate when we see someone else doing it. A beautiful black woman with an attractive Chinese man. I love to see it. Black women do not belong to black men. And black men have long been shown in interacial relationships. Its good to see it starts going both ways, especially with a non white lead.
@@totally_a_spy I came up not judging people by race and just looking at us all as equal after MLK's Civil Rights. I don't describe people on their race when describing them because I'm so good at describing their detailed content of character without that.
