- CTA’s busiest rail line-the Red Line-is nearing 100 years old, is at the end of its useful life, and has reached its capacity. CTA’s RPM Phase One project will completely rebuild the Lawrence, Argyle, Berwyn and Bryn Mawr stations and all the tracks and support structures for more than a mile adjacent to the stations.
The stations will become fully ADA accessible for the first time and include wider platforms, better lighting and modern amenities. The project will also construct a bypass just north of Belmont station for northbound Brown Line trains to modernize the 100-year-old Clark junction where Red, Purple and Brown Line trains currently intersect.
Purple and red lines should really run above 70 mph to save times for riders
cta trains can't go 70 mph that's too fast for inner-city train
And also that’s what the métra is for
They should make a video explaining how the inside of their train cabs work.

So how much is the cost of using the CTA going to increase
Whenever they build or rebuild lines or stations or just tracks they use federal/state funding. They will probably be doing that again also probably using TIF funds. They don't increase fares for this.
