Thanks for the discussion! My wife is ethnically Chinese and I’m as Northern European ginger as can be. People already make comments, especially to her, about our newborn daughter “she’s so light skinned!” Or “who’s the father?”. I like to believe most people are genuinely curious but you can tell some people just seem weird about it.
Basically Desi could be from anywhere around the Mediterranean: Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Syria, Turkey, Greece, Sicily, Southern Italy, Spain and Portugal! She has the classic mix of people with African and European descent in that region of the world.
Thank you guys. Loved your video and the beauty truly lies in the mix and diversity that we all contribute to our societies and cultures. I am from Denmark and my wife is from Hong Kong. I take no offense at all with questions. It's understandable, because people are curious and I'm more than happy to represent the best of both world 😀
Carla I think that your approach is the correct one...the young lady in the video seems to have a chip on her shoulder and tries to act smart with ppl when asked about her nationality...ur not going to make many friends with that attitude. I certainly would not want to make friends with someone that acts so defensive.
You are absolutely adorable, my daughter is biracial , armenian and black , she's only 11 and have such a hard time with making friends girls don't even give her a chance to get to know her before they judge her and she has a heart of gold.
I’m sorry to hear that. Some kids can be so tough and the sad part is they get that from their parents or whoever is raising them. They are taught that mess. I pray that your girl starts to easily make friends🙏🏽. Thank you for watching.
You must understand when people hate on her that is pure jealousy , also it’s a compliment to her because if they are wasting the time the good lord gives hating daughter, tell her to keep her head up and keep a stepping and keep her eye in the lord.
Interesting video. My mom is Scottish and Irish and has pale skin. My dad is Irish and Sephardic and has a dark complexion. As consequence of my dad’s family’s looks that I inherited, 90% of the people I meet think I am Italian. My mother-in-law would occasionally make quips about me being Italian, I would tell her I wasn’t. One time she got kind of cross with me when I corrected her, she called me a liar. I just ignored her comments after that. The “what are you” comments came when some friends from college met my dad. He had brown skin but white facial features. It bothered them because they couldn’t figure my dad out.
I have two biracial adult kids . My daughter always have to tell ppl she biracial and when they tell them her mother black they get really shocked. So they both went thru things in school and even now. I think when you raise them to love them and be happy with themselves things will look good for their self esteem. My daughter really struggle when she was younger and even now, but I alway tell her some ppl just don’t know and you have to be open to the conversation with them, but most of all keep God first and foremost. You guys raise an amazing beautiful young woman.
I just want to say congratulations. I think when you are mixed, it starts with the parents. You are the foundation, and the foundation must be strong in order for your house to stand. And your daughter is very strong in knowing who she is. My hats off to both of you. I would love to meet people like yourselves. God bless you. And all my prayers will be with you.
First time viewer and i loved your daughters insight and maturity.I have the impression that biracial kids got the bigger insight on wanting to be seen as humans becasue they dont pinpoint on where they 'should' belong between the colors. I can definitely relate. Funny thing is I am black as can be but the fact that I'm Latina confuses some people, and I have been told by black people that I'm not black. Lol! My mother was african american and so was my father but because my mother is lighter skinned we have different variations of color in our family. my older sisters are your daughters complexion or lighter and my brother and I are little more on the brown side and I have a brother and sister that are darker much darker.. When we moved to NY they thought we were hispanic but when they find out they tell us we dont act black and we ask what is acting black? We were navy brats and were taught to speak properly.
Thanks for sharing your story. Yeah what is “act black”? Lol
People are wild. Thanks for watching!! We appreciate it!!❤️❤️
You’re family is mixed race...
A natural beauty. She was once referred to as a half breed. What I admire is the fact that she sports not false lashes, false nails, nail polish, visible make up amd no visible tattoos. She is an epitome of natural beauty. She is ararely seen woman these days that is rarely seen these days. I sincerly hope she never changes.
Your daughter is so pretty, congrats to the parents,i can imagine her responsability as the eldest just like me! New subscriber! Love your video! Love from 🇲🇽

We are all beautiful the way we are made! How boring would it be if we all looked the same? Don’t be afraid of change or differences! It makes up stronger 💪🏽
Mature, confident and articulate daughter. Good job parents. 1st time visitor.
Thanks for sharing!
Basically Desi could be from anywhere around the Mediterranean: Morocco, Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Syria, Turkey, Greece, Sicily, Southern Italy, Spain and Portugal! She has the classic mix of people with African and European descent in that region of the world.
I’m part Moroccan and it’s true she could definitely blend in as a Moroccan
Sicily, Turkey, southern italy, greece don't have african decent but your right with the most ones
@@smd5001 they do because we are 99.9 similar lol
I totally agree!
She's so well spoken and carries herself with grace. Good work parents.
This is such a good conversation. Especially in 2021, which is when I watched this video. Your daughter is beautiful!
Thank u🙏🏽🥰
Thank you guys. Loved your video and the beauty truly lies in the mix and diversity that we all contribute to our societies and cultures. I am from Denmark and my wife is from Hong Kong. Our kid’s were born in Los Angeles and Shanghai respectively and are growing up as third culture kids and goes to school every day in Hong Kong with 42 nationalities represented on campus. Diversity is a gift to us all.
Thank u for sharing!! God bless🙏🏽💜❤️
Aww she's so light hearted
Adorable family....daughter looks a lot like mommy: both beautiful!
Thank u so much!😊
She looks like a mix of both parents. I don't think she looks just like her mom. If I seen her without her parents I would think she was hispanic or italian. She looks like Alessia Cara. I know most mix people have that look but just saying.
@@Joseph-zd7kg Hmmmmm, I don’t know Alesia Cara, but I’m sure you’re right. I see the dad’s complexion for sure, but I also can’t see beyond his sunglasses and this was the first time I have ever seen the channel.....so I can see the mom more easily.
Yes I agree ...facial features of Mom
Your daughter is so mature and intelligent such an adorable personality how old is she
Thank u🥰
She’s 21
I think your family should be the face of healthy unity!! Y’all are game changers❣️
Aww thank u❤️😊
This is the kind of conversation we should be having as people from different backgrounds to get to know each other's to stop all this hate because at the end of the day we all are human .
Agreed!! We should most definitely!!🙏🏽❤️
Thank you for this. Your daughter spoke my life and I appreciate this being discussed. 💚
Glad it was helpful!
You’ve raised a beautiful, articulate daughter. Good job, mom and dad!
Many blessings and prosperity to this beautiful family 🙏🏾 and to those who are reading this as well.
You both have much to be proud of. She is one impressive young lady. God Bless you and your beautiful family.
Thank u❤️
your daughter has the best of both from mom and dad she's very intelligent and mature young lady and that's because of you guys as parents giving that love and communication with there children
This is Beautiful. I thought that Jay was Black also and here's why: My Mother is exactly his skin hue. We come in all different shades and we all belong to one Race...The Human Race. Blessings to you all.
Blessings!!🙏🏽🥰
Well said 👍🏾
If only the majority of the oppressor class felt this way, what a wonderful world it would be.
Your mom is not black then...
@@ms3173 My Mother is indeed Black...and proud to be so. Have a blessed day.
You both have a very intelligent daughter, you raised her well and I respect you for that, god bless your family
Thank u! God bless 🙏🏽
I'm biracial and I get the same questions, but I just answer the question. My mom's white and my dad's black and then continue on with whatever the conversation is.
We, are biracial :)
@@SheSaidHeSaid aww I thank u for your kind words. I pray that you and your family are well during these difficult times. Btw I definitely subscribed.
You must understand when people hate on her that is pure jealousy , also it’s a compliment to her because if they are wasting the time the good lord gives hating daughter, tell her to keep her head up and keep a stepping and keep her eye in the lord.
@@bdunnell33 your welcome and yes we are doing great. Thanks for asking and thanks for watching and subscribing!

I thought she (the daughter) was 🇵🇷 when I first saw her. The hair looks 🇵🇷
Puerto Rican is not a race
@@em_1801 that’s because Puerto Ricans are just mixed people lol
I wouldn’t have known he was white. He looks like he’s, possibly interracial. He also reminds me of the Cajun/creole folks from Louisiana.
Yes I am from Louisiana 🥰❤️
He looks white to me. I have n issue with him being white or her being black. They are what they are.
Your daughter is so intelligent. I am proud of her and what she will be in future. She will make impact in this world.
Thank u🙏🏽❤️
Your daughter is so WISE!! Oh my Gosh! So deep. You guys should be proud!! Subscribed. I'm liking your family.
Thanks for subscribing 🙏🏽🥰
You two did a great job she so confident in who she is.
Thank you🙏🏽

I have two biracial adult kids . My daughter always have to tell ppl she biracial and when they tell them her mother black they get really shocked. So they both went thru things in school and even now. I think when you raise them to love them and be happy with themselves things will look good for their self esteem. My daughter really struggle when she was younger and even now, but I alway tell her some ppl just don’t know and you have to be open to the conversation with them, but most of all keep God first and foremost. You guys raise an amazing beautiful young woman.
You’re right! Keep God first!! I pray that that they are confident and strong!!
Thank you💜❤️
you guys, have a gorgeous daughter, God bless your family.
I've been watching these two beautiful parents for over the years. They are so cool!
Thank you 🤗🙏🏽
Thanks for this video! Seems like you guys did a great job of instilling common sense, humor, and pride into your children.
Thanks for watching 💜❤️
Proud mum & dad she exceptionally beautiful, intelligent, educated, confident and she not mouthy. She proves nobody is born racist.
First time viewer and i loved your daughters insight and maturity.I have the impression that biracial kids got the bigger insight on wanting to be seen as humans becasue they dont pinpoint on where they 'should' belong between the colors. The parents are individual and thats what we as the viewers can get more inspire from. Lets be more like you, individual!👍
Thanks for watching and thanks for your feedback 🙏🏽❤️💜
I can definitely relate. Funny thing is I am black as can be but the fact that I'm Latina confuses some people, and I have been told by black people that I'm not black. Lol! Cultural education definitely needed in our society so thank you for bringing this conversation to your platform.
