For the sake of the poor people who have to pick up the body parts after someone like this dies from being reckless, free soloing needs to be illegal. People need to think about other people more when they do things like this, it may not scare you, but if you fall someone else is going to have to pick up the parts of you that remain and they will have to identify you from what they find.
We don't know when our last day is, that's correct, but we know for sure it is more likely to come sooner than we'd like if we climb without ropes.

I don't mean to sound insensitive but this might... if you're a free solo climber, shouldn't that be your biggest and only passion? Its like if the wallendas only tight roped in their spare time and they were actually passionate about drag racing or parkour. Sounds like she was more passionate about yoga and instructing yoga and just wasn't focused or passionate enough about climbing free of safety equipment. Free soloing should only be done if thats all thats on your mind, if everything you do is to improve your climbing.. I really don't mean to sound insensitive just realistic. She seemed like a great person that the world benefited from having. 🙏 rest in piece... unrelated but as someone that spends there days at the top of a 40ft ladder, the biggest fear is something going wrong, losing your footing and falling back, I can't imagine what that was like for her, just a terrible last few seconds on this planet.
