Gonna be honest I had to pause the episode quite a few times just to breathe, thanks for the TW. That aside I really loved this episode, I really like werewolves so I was interested to see how you’d do it and I think you pulled it off really well. I also really do appreciate the trans rep, I’m transfem not transmasc so I’m not a perfect judge as to how well you handled it but I do think you did a good job, Sams reaction to Art getting deadnamed honestly made me like him a 1000 times more than I already did, wish I had a friend like that. 10/10, as I said, loved this episode, super hyped for the next one. (Ps: the phrase “pronoun demon” made me laugh my ass off, I both hate and love that that’s realistic)
Glad you liked it! It was one of the episodes i was very nervous about putting out but it‘s probably my favorite of the season! And of course i was not gonna let anyone run into that without a triggerwarning! Sam‘s reaction to Art being deadnamed was also really important to me because that‘s just plain reason. I do wish i could say that was the end of it but it‘s sadly gonna get a lot worse (Arthur‘s storyline is my favorite though and I intend to put the utmost care into it to make it good. But there are gonna be more triggerwarnings…) As for the pronouns demon thing, the transphobia originally was meant to be a lot more subtle but at one point i decided “fuck it - i‘m going all in“. I tried my best to portray how fucking ridiculous those people sound BUT also show that they are harming others Glad to see i pulled off the werewolf story😂 and glad that you’re enjoying the show and are taking your time to comment! Means a lot!
Ah yes, “fuck it - I’m going all in” my approach to everything I write. I’ll make sure to mentally prepare myself for future episodes. I am really happy you’re trying your best to include some good trans rep, this community is really lacking when it comes to any kind of queer rep so I really do hope that we can change that at least a little. I really am super excited to see where his story goes even if it does involve more suffering.
