it's fun to see Jason get so excited about Namjoon's songs and the artists he features. Loved watching his reactions to each part of the songs
🔥
Hear hear! Like how he totally understood Suga's Shadow, too! Now RM's!
He really knows his arts and philosophies, like RM!
off topic he's super hot.
It’s interesting that you mentioned Rothko. RM spoke in a Vlive how he had visited a museum and there was an entire room dedicated to Rothko’s paintings. One painting in particular, (combination of black and red) moved him to tears. He said he got so emotional when he saw it.
❤🔥
i relate to joon on a spiritual level lol i also happen a member of the “cried when they saw a rothko painting” gang
@@doraaaa0613Me too! I didn't like him much... until I saw his work in person 💜💜💜
@@18becbec oh really?
@@mikks3733 Yeah! Maybe it's something to do with the layers of colour not coming through when you see a Rothko on a screen, I'm not sure 🤷🏻♀️
I’m so jealous of people whom can understand and appreciate the depth of musics with their depth of music knowledge.
This was a such a pleasure to watch and listen.
Thank you.
I just love hearing true artists understanding his lyrics and the nuances of his words.
Exactly !
Me too
!!!!!
Petition to react to whole albummmmmm!!!
Yes yes yes and yes! Every track on this album is a masterpiece!
Yes please!
yes please, I bet they will all love to breakdown the 10 songs
yes yessss please!!
Yes please!!!!!! especially closer!!!!!
I'm SO happy seeing you guys being so impressed with these tracks, and slowly come to realise BTS's musical, artistic and lyrical genius. They've produced, and wrote and participated in the creative process of their work from the very beginning and been great at it, and have only gotten better over the years. You can clearly see the growth. And they're and have been true to themselves and their craft. They bring so much depth to the table... Many people don't realise that and just box them in 'Kpop' or 'pop' when they are so much more than that. They're way too complex for these labels, trust me.
I feel like a proud mom rn.... the album is So good, and Yun and Wildflower are my favourites!
And seeing Jason fanboy over RM made me SO SO happy.... but who's gonna tell him that everybody loves our president namjoon ;) He's a poet. And he has a deep love for art, reading and nature... He's been named "The philosopher who raps" and "a wizard of songwriting and composing" by some Western media... He's so articulate and so inspiring, which is why he's the leader of the one and only BTS. He once wrote a song after being inspired by seeing a leaf fall from a tree.... yeah... that same song is a legend and is jokingly refered to as Korea's national anthem because it's great, and the Korean gp loves it and it's still charting and refuses to come down Korean charts even 5 years after it's release!!
There's a reason why BTS is ...well...BTS. Oftentimes, in today's world, biggest doesn't equal best, but in BTS's case it does. I only have been a fan for 6 months now, and I've been blown away by them and I'm not and never have been a Kpop or pop fan (no disrespect, just not my type of stuff). I also prefer more subtle music over in-your-face type music most times. And even though BTS have their share of pop or hype music title tracks, MOST of their music is on the subtle, artistic and thought-provoking side. Their lyricism is pure genius and a BIG part of their music, and one of the main reasons for their success .... their music is like art, music, literature coming together into one poetic song. Btw, they started as a hip-hop group and they love hip-hop. It's why the rappers are so good... at rapping. They are often inspired by art, legendary musicians, great thinkers and writers and portray that in their music.... They have substance and they're So creative!
I hope this helps you see exactly what separates BTS from KPOP, and even POP. I hate when people categorise them as only KPOP or pop and thus look down on them...(I also did that once tbh)... BTS are amazing... They don't just have the popularity and the crazy achievements, but also the passion, the skills, the critical acclaim and the respect from some musical legends, and that's for a reason. That's because THIS is what they bring forward!
You already saw it with ON, Suga's Shadow and JHope's solo songs from his album( a masterpiece btw, especially when listened to from start to finish) and now the poet himself!
BTS is incredible, and the rap-line in particular is pretty much untouchable!
Much love💜💜
namjoon is such a great artist there is no bad song on the album the lyrics are masterpieces I loved it so much
Tell Jason that RM loves Rothko too. He once talked about visiting a museum and one of Rothko's painting with just red & black moved him to tears.
Following on Yun’s words, Badu sings briefly about where living a humanistic life can lead to: “You keep the silence / ‘Fore you do somethin’ / You be a human / Till the death.” Before she ever sings, though, RM raps, “Still I dream of something forbidden / I do dances nobody sees.” The idea of RM exploring what a person should pursue until the day they die is likely something no one in the pop music industry could have expected in their wildest dreams.
So when Badu sings after this, it feels like a response from this revered singer to RM’s worries, or even the voice of God himself as he appears before a mortal human in their time of need. Badu seems to sing as if revealing a way of life that can only be achieved once reaching a high point, imparting knowledge to a young superstar finding his way in a secular world. At times, such teachings and material values clash against one another. All the attention and judgment RM receives as a member of BTS from the outside world can also be enough to launch him into a fit of rage. He reveals that all of these things are whirling around inside him.

RM said Indigo is where he brings his heros and heroine in. Badu is someone he admire and he have send documents why he specifically want her, explaining the arts etc. Badu even check on him casual to ask his life updates etc and they have grown to become a friend, shared during one of the interviews RM did. Imagine having that relationship with THE ERYKAH BADU. Also love your reaction 👏🏻
I can really say that RM really has the ear for music. Its such an amazing talent to know what is needed in the music and the composition and production.
Yesssss
Also, change pt 2 is one of my favorites from his album!💕💕💕
I'm gonna try showing change pt 2 to our full crew when their winter break is over! 👀
@@ReacttotheK 🥺🥺🥺🥺
It's going to be awesome 💕💕💕
@@ReacttotheK and maybe the title track also
@@ReacttotheK you should also do wildflower!!!!
YES!!
i love still life so much and it's so hilarious seeing jason so excited about these songs and the artists. this album has been on repeat omg
loved seeing jason lose his mind over these songs. hoping to see more reactions from this album, it's such a gem
The album that deserves a Fk Grammy 🔥🔥🔥
For real. I Hope he gets nominated
Really
Agree
grammy didn't deserve this album tho.. 😅
@@jeanny4204 fr 💀
Jason look so smitten with RM, who doesn't though 😂
hope you guys woud react to wild flower or maybe the whole album? 👀
anyway, thank you so much for the video!
Whole!
13:50 I love how he immediately just clicks with RM’s message when they explained Still Life like wow
In reference to the idea of leaving room for contemplation, RM recognized this all the way back in 2016 with Reflection. There are long stretches where there is only the instrumentation. At first I thought he should have had lyrics and maybe singing instead of rapping. It felt like a waste of a good melody, but then I realized that the whole point was to REFLECT. Instead of telling you what he felt, he was offering room for you (the listener) to think about how YOU feel. Because he tends to live in his head and have "too many thoughts" I think he recognizes the power of stillness.
I knew Jason's gonna love the meanings behind RM's music inspo 💜✨
Jason is such a vibe. His reaction to still life was very much similar to mine when I first heard it :"D like I just can't help but to SCREAM the joy out. Agreed when he said Joon is a genius too... Joon is just out of this world. Love Kayla too!
i would feel so dumb talking to jason, he's so intelligent and articulate
I feel the same way about Namjoon
Imagine if the two of them having a conversation together.. they gave of the same 'sexy brain' kind of vibe to me lol
smart people shouldn't make people feel dumb. ;-)
@@fi.oletta
I wanna be smart like that
RM is such a genius. All the artists he picked and worked with fit each song's concept and vibe, making it golden. Truly an artist at work.
Exactly! I grow to love every soloist he collabs with bc they are that good, you know...
Indigo is an album full of songs that you'll love immediately namjoon had all different types of people and genres and it still felt like the most rm album ever
Paak didn’t write on Still Life. Namjoon composed all the songs in this album and did all the vocal and rap arrangements. The other individuals in the credits worked on the tracks.
It's amazing and heartwarming to see people outside the ARMY fandom acknowledge RM genius lyricism
the thing about namjoon is that he absolutely knows his stuff. he appreciates and understands music and art. i love seeing all that in indigo. such a great album!
Yes, RM is quite literally a genius. I'm sure someone else mentioned that tho😊
Jason's reactions are all of us. It's so fun to see someone be as excited as we are about the songs. We all love RM's genius and talent.
Yun is one of my favourite songs, Erykah was amazing on this track, brought so much soul. Another song recommendation is Closer!
indigo is such an amazing album, i didn't expect to love it as much as i do. i hope you will get to release a video about change pt.2 and all day since those are in your 'not so sure' playlist! are all the other songs ones that you will not be reacting to?
jason, your quote from kahlil gibran added so much impact to that “true beauty is true sadness” line. thank you so much for that! i feel like you and rm would have great conversations over coffee. id pay to see that.
The song with Erykah Baduza deserves a Grammy! She's a genius! Sophisticated, with great taste, with wonderful lyrics and "caressing the ear"! This to me is really art, not just music!❤
I hope Namjoon would watch this video where people who actually understand music as much as him, reacting and explaining his music like he wanted from people listening his work and to be able to understand the things he wanna convey
Indigo is such a Grammy worth it album also loooove the guy’s reaction haha he’s getting soo hyped for the lyrics, the featuring artists and NAMJOON’s brain haha
I was waiting for a reaction and I'm not disappointed. It was funny to see Jason get as excited as me for those songs. Thank you to highlight is talent as a writer and the originality of his music compare to kpop in general. I'd love you to react to forgetful and n°2.
indigo is really a masterpiece thank you namjoon for giving us these beautiful songs 💜
So happy to see Namjoon's masterpieces being appreciated in such an excited way haha Loved it 💞
Jason talked about Rothko.. Fun fact: RM visited the Rothko chapel last year... And yes, Jason, RM is in fact a genius, he has a high IQ
Watch RM INDIGO album film Magazine by BANGTANTV.
BANGTANTV is the official youtube channel of BTS members, uploaded RM's INDIGO concert to selected 200 ARMY'S at Rolling hall.
'Still Life' - I now have a greater appreciation for the song. Thank you for speaking in words, sounds, and movements to bring clarity of why it is good music (for non-musicians like me who want to understand but don't have the language to explain).
you could feel their genuine excitement the whole time, it made me so happy 😭
this is extremely late but I absolutely adore seeing people get invested in/analyze joon’s lyricism, and actually understand it! ever since I saw jason talk about jung in the past, I knew he would see namjoon’s work to its full potential. love this reaction, it has to be my favorite :))
I was as hyped as Jason while watching their reaction loool his excitement is contagious 😂 I appreciate their breakdown of the songs tho!
“I’m in love with guy!” So am I lol, there is a long line. 😆 Honestly would love to see you guys react to the whole album.
His whole album is a masterpiece 🔥💙💙💙
It makes me soooooooo happy to watch real musicians breaking down this gorgeous songs. INDIGO is a fantastic album.
Please tell Jason that Rothko is also one of rm's favorite painter
I would love to see RM's reaction to this video. I think it would make him very happy to see and know how his music resonates with people, especially those who are very passionate about music.
Loving Jason and Karla's comments and reactions ❤
Anderson's good friend with all of BTS, because of how BTS approach music they could connect, so... count on more collaborations between those two
"this guy is a genius! i love him!!!" - EXACTLY
First of all, thank you for this reaction. Namjoon is an ARTIST. It would be so nice if you reacted to other songs because this album is a masterpiece
One more thing I'd like to talk about is kpop. I agree that it's too active sometimes. The thing is you usually react to title tracks. They tend to be loud, active, catchy. But if you pay more attention to b-side tracks you will be surprised. Very often they're even better than the main singles (my opinion)
So true!!! They need to check out No. 2 or Forg_tful or even Change Part 2. But I'd *really* like them to react to Wildflower.
@@jlalovesmusic6816 Lonely is my favourite and i really love Forg_tful and Change pt2 gives me goosebumps but YES Wildflower is so freaking good. Tbh, I want them to react to the whole album...
I'd love to see you guys react to No.2 but honestly, please react to the ENTIRE album. Even though INDIGO was released in November 2022, it is hands down one of the top 5 albums this year!
Did you see the Rolling Stone Top 50 Albums of the Year article (which included J-Hope's Jack in the Box is #9)? In the related podcast, the music critics talked about Indigo and said it would have been on the list if it hadn't just missed their cutoff date!
i'm so happy with this reaction. i hope rm sees this. indigo is an absolute gem of an album. he really is a wonderful artist.
It's so cool to hear their take on these songs. It adds so much more texture, depth. Thank you to the reactors. :)
I really hope you both sit down and just listen to the entire album from top to bottom the way RM suggests. :) Anderson played the drums for BTS when they did a live recording of their song "Yet to Come" while they were in Las Vegas.
CEREBRAL commentaries and MUSIC appreaciations. BEST REACTION.
(Can you call this kpop though....?). But YES. I am here for more Anderson Paak reactioin ☺
omg now you can't just leave me with this, i need a reaction to the whole album😌
Thank you for that quote Jason, I love it ❤🩹for every tear shed in life we can heal with a smile in return ❤🩹
When I think that I can't admire Namjoon more than I already do, more and more content about Indigo comes on and I start to understand all the layers in his work, and... omg I don't even have words to describe my feelings for this man works 😭😭
hope to see more reactions to indigo !! it really is an amazing album :)
I recommend react to RM's tiny desk concert these two songs with a live band are amazing
It's funny you mention Rothko. Take a look at Yun's paintings.
REACT TO THE WHOLE ALBUM ITS A GOLDMINE FOR MUSICIANS TO ANALYZE
would love reactions to the full album! every song is so different and such a work of art
jason's joy was contagious! rm is so great and it's so fun to see him just enjoy the music and pick up on all the intricacies.
put this man to react the full album
Namjoon has created a masterpiece I really recommend listening to the whole album it’s just… WOW. It’s breathtaking
I loved this reaction, I would love it if they reacted to more songs from Indigo. I'm not a musician so I learn a lot from your reactions. I'm glad to see you like Joon's work, he's one of the few that made me love music so I'm always happy to see him praised.
What everyone said😂❣️I also loved Jason going out of his mind & articulating why.
Jason is in such an alt that he may not have noticed cutting off Kayla many times in reacting to Yun.
I feel like Umu(?), who started this channel, would have noticed this & asked Kayla if she had anything to add before moving on to reacting to Still Life. Glad to see more of Kayla’s reaction on Still Life.
Great work all around ❣️💜
NOOOOO! Don’t stop! I needed to hear them react to Wildflower and Youjeen’s explosive vocals. 🤞 hoping, no BEGGING for a part 2 to this RM/Indigo reaction. 🙏🙏
Jason is so me towards RM. He is indeed a genius!
Oh I can’t wait to watch this but y’all gotta do change Pt 2 and wildflower! You of all accounts I wanted to do those songs!
This has to be one of my favourite reactions! I love the music already but this was so joyous and the enthusiasm really infectious. Thank you 🌺🍃
I really hope that you guys continue to react to the remainder of the album. Wildflower is my ultimate favorite, but all the songs are absolutely brilliant.
I loveee ur reaction cant wait for u guys yo hear the whole album specially if u heard Wild Flower!!! Cant wait!!
seeing jason go bonkers talking about the meaning behind the songs, comment on the song itself, and reference the collaborating artists' past work is just so nice, and i agree with the notion that rm is a very articulate artist. if he does something, especially with his work, you know that it was intentional.
also the comment at the beginning where he's like "it's so nice that the ideas of carl jung didn't stay in one album but crossed over to other bodies of work and their lives as well" because...well. there is a %90 chance that the reason carl jung's ideas made it as an album is probably because namjoon was incorperating his ideas to his own life and bodies of work.
I love when people talk about bts song lyrics deeply i feel included , like i am not alone who taking everything by heart and get excited by the thaught that how thoughtful and intelligent this guys are specially rm ...
👏REACTION NCT DREAM-GRADUATION , CANDY 🙆🏻♀️🙆🏻♀️🙆🏻♀️🙆🏻♀️🙆🏻♀️💚💚💚💙💙💙💜💜💜💜
it's on their "will not react to" playlist unfortunately :( I was excited for it as well its such a shame, sorely miss nct content on their channel lol
More musicians reacting to wildflower would be so cool!! its such an emotional cathartic song, I wonder what they'd think and feel about it :0
Its time for mono mixtape from Rm!!!
Anderson Paak collaborated with BTS on the "yet to come" live from Vegas
honestly could Jason makke spotify playlist of songs with vibes sorta adjacent to this that he loves because i want some of his vibes for myself
Rm is someone i feel is on his journey to attain enlightenment or primordial godhood. That dude is a philosopher
In RM’s video/interview about all his songs, he said the musicians he played this album for all really liked Change pt2 the most. Would love to see that here with this group. It’s very experimental noise music and I love it so much!
RM doesn't even realize how spiritual he is 😂
I thought im only one who think like that 😭😭😭 // HE IS SPIRITUALLY GIFTED ARTIST I KNOW!!! WHEN I SAW HIM AND HIS WORDS/LYRICS I KNOW HE THE ONE 😭
I really love it how Jason gets excited everything about Joon's music
Will you listen to the whole album? 😃
Will you show them Wildflower?
I'm here for it
i can't wait for the both of you to react to the rest of the songs. 💜
when you mentioned Rothko while reacting to Yun, it gave me goosebumps…because (pls) check out Yun’s art!!
Omg I just saw this video reaction and I loooooove it so much. I mean I would love to see Namjoon and Jason sit in one place and talk about anything (more likely about arts~) haha
Enjoyed the reaction with you! And I know for sure you’re gonna love all the songs! Waiting eagerly for the rest reactions!
i’m so happy jason was not ready and panicking just like us before listening
He’s amazing artist. I love this album. 💙
Hope you react other tracks too. 🇹🇷
Please rect to Xdinary Heroes - Strawberry cake
you wont regret it!!!!
Yun visited NY in 1974 and saw Rothko's work, and it had a strong impact on him. His work after that is... "influenced" is the wrong word. More, "in conversation" with Rothko.
Love, Love, Love this reaction 🙏🏽 🤩
Love, Love, Love this song and the whole album. I adore, 'Change - part 2' & would really like to see your reaction to that and the rest of the album 👍🏽
Pt. 2, please
Thank you for reacting to RM guys. LOVED IT 💜
now please react to mono rm’s mixtapee😭😩😩😩
The Rothko reference is so spot on. But in this song's context, Rothko is the main influence for Yun Heungeun. So if you talk about the texture of the music, it is more like Yun's work. Isn't there a monochrome vibe to it, like Yun?!
