This group was put together for one night only and its with swedish contestants that has been in Eurovision and Mellodifestivalen for Sweden. Very well known singers in here in Sweden. The song is a parody of Backstreet Boys, I think they said that they were 12 people in the group.
Well partly correct, only around half of them been in Melodifestivalen, the rest of them are famous actors and singers that have not ever competed but was just part of this sketch/interval act :)
This is a joke interval act, it's a parody, and is a long running joke that might be a bit hard to understand, not being a Swede and not knowing the context and backstory. Back in Melodifestivalen 2008 Björn Gustafsson was sidekick to the host Kristian Luuk, and Gustafsson, who has this funny awkward persona, pretended to get drunk, and were to sing a song to the love of his life... which happened to be Luuk's wife Carina Berg. So this year, when Carina Berg is hosting, the joke has continued.
And this was meant to be as another song to her, and that he spent like all of his money hiring very professional songwriters (Johan Carlsson, Rami Yacou och Charlie Puth), and a bunch of different famous singers and actors to create this "super group", playing with different boyband stereotypes, so they're not a real group, it's meant to be goofy.
It's a joke.
Even though a joke in Melodifestivalen is better than a couple of songs sent to Eurovision by other countries.

The act is a parody of Russia that was about to host the 2009 ESC and if my memory serves me right the Russians took it so bad that the Russian ambassador had a meeting with representatives from the Swedish government for a serious talk 😅! It is swedish actors and real artists like erovision-winner Måns Zelmerlöv and Eric Saade(melodifestivalen) and many more 😊 It was just for fun but a very GOOD song though! 👏🏽
So björn have been joiking about that he is inlove with carina his coworker so he put together some of the most famous people in sweden to sing this song so they are not in a grop
You should know of Måns Zelmerlöv since you react to eurovision etc. If not, he won 2015 with "Heroes" for Sweden.
I really love this artist and it reminds me of n sync and backstreet boys and it’s a bit like it and we need a boy band for this year’s contest for the Eurovision 2024 and it’s a quite a disco party Ballard song and I really love this one and I’m giving it 12 points to 12 and it’s a allstar Ballard and this is much better from Geoff uk time
This song is made by some of the swedish producer team behind Nsync and Backstreet boys greatest hits.
An swede wrote backstreet boys song
there where like 20 Swedes writing songs for backstreet boys. All of them writers for/from the Cheiron studio in Stockholm. Most notably of cause Max Martin. What they meant when they presented this song was that one of the three songwriters of this song is a former writer from Cherion and he wrote songs for Backstreet boys back in the late 90's early 00's.
