I guess "forgettable" is meant for the "mid" episodes that had the misfortune of being sandwiched between two memorable episodes, or that often get overlooked, or just don't have enough to put them above or below the mid tier.
I just find the plot rather basic as another “Thomas dicking around on his branch line” episode which is very common in The Brenner Era. Plus, it was rather tricky to find other competition with how short the season was. Don’t get me wrong, it’s one of the least forgettable episodes from the ones I mentioned, but I don’t think the Bulgy reintroduction was enough to save it tbh 🤷🏼♂️

What a fun ride! I loved seeing your thoughts! Here's my take: Season 1: I don't find any of the episodes in this season to be forgettable, but out of all of them, I'd go for Thomas's Train. It's just so menial and uninteresting. Season 2: I agree, Thomas and Trevor is the most forgettable one. That said, it's actually gone up a bit in my ranking, but it's still not that memorable. Season 3: There are so many forgettable picks this season, and No Joke For James would definitely be one of them, but I will also go for Thomas, Percy and the Post Train, because even after all these rewatches, I still can't remember it. This is coming from a guy who loves nighttime episodes but completely forgot the existence of this one. Season 4: All three Duncan episodes without question. I used to think they were all just one episode. Season 5: It's a tie between Sir Topham Hatt's Holiday and Thomas and the Rumours, for the same reasons: two loose plots that barely have anything to do with each other. I couldn't find any forgettable episodes from S6 and 7. All of their episodes all stand out and feel different from each other. Season 8: Chickens to School. I don't need to explain. I could say Thomas and the Circus, but that episode sticks out to me because seeing the human models move terrified me as a kid. Season 9: Thomas and the Birthday Picnic, which feels like a bad S5 episode. Season 10: I agree, Seeing the Sights is forgettable in the extreme. Season 11: Almost every episode in this season feels like the same boring crap, but Thomas in Trouble in particular. Literally nothing significant happens in it, and it took me several rewatches to remember who Thomas interacts with. Season 12: I'll go for Saved You. It's just so average. Season 17: I actually remember Gordon Runs Dry the least. It's just Gordon realising his boiler's leaking, that's it. Season 18: I was surprised to realise that Missing Gator exists, along with Long Lost Friend. They should've just been one episode. Season 19: If it weren't for its title, I would have completely forgotten what the plot of Lost Property was. Season 20: Bradford the Brakevan is a great character, but his debut is forgettable Season 21: The Big Freeze is the only episode of the season that I can't remember.

I had a HIT DVD with The Fogman on it that I remember vividly. I also had a take n play of the fog machine, which might contribute to why I remember the episode so fondly.
Thing is with Better Late Than Never is that it’s very widely considered the weakest S2 episode so that’s what makes it stick out more for me As for The Fogman, I had a tough time picking for S6 episodes so that’s fair enough 👍🏻

A Bad Day for Sir Handel is one of my favorite S4 episodes, even in childhood cause as a kid, Sir Handel is one character I find memorable especially since it's weird how he didn't appear in between S5-9 until his return in S10 which even so is something we fans in that same category can all pick out on these strange things in the show one way or another.
Honestly the most forgettable Thomas episode in season 2 for me was the runaway, like I don’t even know what happens in it, the only thing I knew from that episode was duck lol
I apperntly never saw a lot of season 10-11 episodes because when I was younger because i thought I had seen all the episodes by the time I was 8 and had internet access so I could see all the ones i didnt have on DVD, but there was some I didnt even know exsisted until a decade later, also i completely forgot the grand opening was a episode and not random clips used in music videos 😭
Here's my list: Season 1: Thomas' Train for being my least favourite Season 1 episode. Season 2: Even tho Better Late Than Never is my least favourite, it's where the infamous Viaduct theme came from. So I'd say the most forgettable is either The Runaway or Thomas and Trevor. Season 3: Same as yours. Season 4: Hard to answer, but I'll give it to Special Attraction. Worst episode of Season 4 IMO. Season 5: As a Season 5 fan and being my favourite season of the entire show, I will choose Snow. Seriously, this episode treats avalanches like if they're a joke which they are not... Season 6: Rusty Saves the Day. Do I even need to explain? This episode is awful! The sets are extremely depressing and there's several lack of contuinity. Season 7: Hmm, I think I'll give it to The Grand Opening. Not an bad episode. It's a bit more enjoyable than Better Late Than Never tho. Season 8: I think I will say choose Don't Tell Thomas. Pretty mid episode with an rather nice concept. Season 9: My favourite of the HiT Era. I'd say Thomas and the Golden Eagle cause I can't remember what happens in that story. I agree with your picks for season 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 17,18, 19, 20, and 21. However, I disagree with Thomas in trouble and Strongly disagree with Oliver's. We get two crashes in a row and the mode work is great as usual. As for season 8, I only disagree with it for nostalgia. Find. I'd change season 1 to Whistles and Sneezes and season 5 Gordon and the Gremlin. And to other people, I see why James gets a New Coat is forgettable. but for me personally, that's the one i think of when I think hit era James. Probably a bit controversial, but that's just what I think.

I thought the Miller era was seasons 9-16? People usually call 13-16 the Nitrogen era.
Everytime I’ve heard the Miller Era being referred to, the person means S13 - 16 🤷🏼♂️

I think that pairing of Thomas & Elizabeth coupled with the winter aesthetic made it too unique for me when compared to The Grand Opening 👍🏻
To me the most forgettable season 4 ep is passengers and polish. It's 4:30 minutes of duncan complaining and nothing more.
