mmmmmmm, it's a snowy cold day here in Niagara Falls Canada and I'm going to make your soup. I LOVE that your recipes have no oil. Your channel is AMAZING and I'm telling everyone about it. No more excuses why anyone has to eat a beautiful animal. Thanks for all your hard work.
+Sherri Lynn Well, not all of our recipes have no oil, but we do our best to make them as low-fat as we possibly can whilst also trying to achieve great flavours :) Thanks for your continued support!
:-D Thanks for your comment. I had a look at one of your videos and I liked it very much. You have a wonderful voice- I subbed immediately! Thanks for your support.
made this and my non-vegan family members loved it so much!! it was so creamy my mom even asked if i added cream! i didn't even add the rosemary and i'm so happy with it already! thank you for this amazing recipe
im a serious meat eater... my mom made me this a few years ago and i absolutely loved it. best thing was, i'd gone with my girlfriend and she fell in love. it will be nice to make it for her. greetings from Kenya, Africa
Just did it. Delicious! Didn't think it could be that tasty without oil. I'm no fan of rosemary, so I used nutmeg for the woody touch, and since I'm a big fan of the sweet onions and pumpkins flavors, I didn't put this time vinegar and pepper. I'll try next time, soon. This recipe comes with a big bonus(for me): No soap needed to wash all the utensils used, since there was no oil :-), running water right after every use and that's all. Subscribed. Kudos! Other lazy tips: my onions and pumpkin seem faster to cook, only 30 minutes. I chopped them into big chunks, not thin as presented. I used manual blender, that way I made it smooth in the same pan it cooked.
fransiscaveronica7 And not for me either :) No oil allowed on this channel (we actually used it a couple of times but it was only a few drops and it wasn't necessary at all.) Thanks for watching and for leaving a comment
I've made this today and it is really delicious, i added half a cup of canned tomatoes to the mix because my pumpkin was a bit too sweet and i don't like vinegar(also i tend to put tomatoes in everything:)). I love watching your videos
i was making this soup today and it turned so delicious that I ate the entire huge bowl myself. I just became vegan and I really enjoy your recepies! I tried also different recepies from your channel and every single one was so delicious! Thank you so much guys for your creativity!
I'll admit, at first I was skeptical because I am used to butternut squash soup being drowned in almond/soymilk and loads of vegan butter, as a result I haven't had it for a while because of the high fat content. But your recipe was fantastic. The warmth from the cayenne, the subtle tart and sweet taste from the vinegar, the earthy rosemary and sweet squash. My father and his girlfriend loved it as well and they both went back for a second helping :) Thank you for this amazing recipe.
Alice Rose Thank you :) Being a professional chef I always try to balance the flavor as much as possible! A dish like this one has many layers of flavour, which it is what makes it special. Of course it would surely taste different with some extra fat, but honestly I prefer it like this, healthy and easy to make. Thanks or watching and once again for your lovely words, very kind of you to follow our work.
Although it's June, I made this today on a bit of a cold day and it was so amazing. I used the herbs from my rosemary bush in my backyard, and I used some beyond chicken strips. Thank you for this recipe!
I thought I was going to die of laughter when you said "fat free oil, which is water" hahahahahahhaha When you said "fat free oil" I was like "there's an oil on earth that's FAT FREE ? How do I not know this ????"
These videos always make me giggle, they are so cute yet amazing to watch. I've been looking for delicious vegan recipes and I'm pretty sure I found a channel that I will surely stick with ☺️
I gave been CRAVING this soup!!!! I caved in a few days ago and bought a brand of pumpkin soup I thought was an all vegan brand but when I got home of course there is cream in it and now it's just sitting in my pantry and my craving unsatisfied! :/ I will definitely be making this soon!!! Thank you :)
Thanks for your comment! I'm extremely happy to hear that :-D I hope you will find the recipe easy to reproduce and that you will also like the result as much as we did. If you do go ahead and try this dish, don’t forget to let us know how it turned out :-)
You always make my favorite recipes. I’m not sure if its a coincidence or if I’m just not a picky eater. Anyways, I don’t have a high speed blender :/ Would it still work or would it end up gritty?
+Angelina Goes Vegan Thanks for always watching our videos my friend :) If you have a stick blender, it would work perfectly. It might be a touch less smooth than a soup made with a vitamix, but still enjoyable.
I became vegan one mounth ago and i realy love my decision because it's more peacful and the food are even more healthier for example this soup that i will do it todaay for my diner !
You're 2 subscribers away from 1000!!! I would subscribe again if I could :p I like pumpkin soup as a sauce to pasta. This is a simple and delicious recipe.
Thanks for your support, you are too kind :-) Part of that soup ended up mixed with pasta, and it was really good! Woke up this morning and found out that we have 1K subs :-) I'm very happy about it. I understand that our recipes might seem easy to make, but each one requires at least 8 hours of continuous work and I can assure you that it is no easy job. We would be happy to turn this into a full time job in the future. Thanks again!
I don't like rosemary I find it strong and overseeing but OH MY GOD YOU WERE RIGHT!!! I didn't have fresh rosemary so I used half a teaspoon of dried crushed rosemary so I couldn't remove it after simmering. I only made half a medium sized pot and oh my god honestly I didn't think rosemary could be so perfect in a dish!!! Well done and Thank you it really took it to a whole new level
Good soup but I hate balsamic vinegar, and would leave the chile out. I am really experimental with soup but squash is always butternut squash with onion and carrot. I find it so warming and real comfort food for chilly evenings.
+The Vegan Corner Oh. My. Gosh. This is the best soup I have ever had. I just added a bit of salt and black pepper as the toppings, and the smoothness is INSANE. I blended with a vitamix and it literally is so creamy without any coconut cream AH. Thank you thank you thank you!
+morgie543 Blending with a Vitamix can make any preparation ten times cremier than adding butter or cream :) I'm so happy to hear that you enjoyed the soup so much, and thanks a lot for keeping us posted.
My pleasure! :) We believe that the more info we add to the videos, the easier it is be for people to perfectly replicate our recipes :) Thanks once again for your support
Where I live winter and fall last wayyyy longer than they should and the winters are gruesome! Can not wait to make all these yummy soups when squash is in season!😋😊😊
The one in the video is butternut squash. Green Kabocha unfortunately is not available at the moment as it is out of season (at least in my part of the world). If you do find it and it is ripe, I strongly suggest you to try it. From a chef point of view, Green Kabocha is by far the best and most delicious pumpkin available. Thanks again for your support :-)
Team Broccoli Ripe Green Kabocha has a dark green skin and makes a "special sound". Butternut squash must had dark creamy skin, not too light though, or the inside won't be as orange as it should. Unfortunately the best way to see if some fruits are ripe...Is to open them :-)
I got rosemary but not whole, cut up. So removing it was very difficult; I just left it there and blended it together with the pumpkin...what I did, was it okay?
Hello, The pumpkin soup you've prepared no doubt it's healthy. But I think it'd be delicious if you add garlic. Thank you for this healthy soup. I must try.
Love Kabocha! When I make this soup I use a little bit of orange zest. It is a nice touch to an already delicious dish. Thanks for showing us how to cut out the fat, without losing flavor. Love the channel!!!
Many thanks for being so supportive, you can’t imagine how happy we are to have you here with your beautiful comments! I’ll try to add some zest next time I make this soup. Thanks for the tip! About the fat; cutting out fat without loosing too much flavor is always a challange, as fat carries flavors in a completely different way compared to water. Hopefully we will continue to do recipes that you like.
Tried this tonight and it's really easy and delicious!!! I'm amazed by how little fat is in this soup. It's surprising to know no cream is need, not even oil when frying the onion, and still taste good. Btw I had no vinegar at home tonight so I omitted it, but still taste good, very thick and rich in pumpkin flavour!!
+Miriam Ebony That's not a weird question, not at all! :) I've never tried to use canned pumpkin so I cannot be sure. Why don't you give it a try? If you like the taste of canned pumpkin I can't see how the soup could turn out to be a bad one. I hope this helps
This is so simple yet looks so delicious. One question: is the 3pumpkin" you used called butternut squash in the US? I want to make it but don't want to buy the wrong vegetable!
Thanks! Oh yes, it is called butternut squash in the US too and it is the one I used for this recipe. The other pumpkin I mentioned in the video (my favourite one) is Green Kabocha, which is out of season now. You definitely what to try that variety if you haven't already, it's just sublime. I'm always scared of adding condiments to it, as it is simply perfect on its own! :-)
Thank you for this recipe. I made this soup twice and it came out perfect both times. We eat a lot of vegan soups in my house and this one has already become a favorite. I used butternut squash but will try green kabocha squash if I see some at the market. I really enjoy your channel so please keep the videos coming :)
Many thanks for watching this video and for using our recipe. We are very happy to hear that you enjoy our work and I can assure you that we have no intention to quit any time soon :-) I definitely recommend some Green Kabocha if you find it, I'm sure you'll love it!
fabulous recipes! i just found you and i have already tried a couple of your recipes that turned out just great :) thanks for bringing a new level of healthy to my kitchen! by the way, when buying how can you know if a squash is ripe? i tend to be lucky but can't tell the difference... a big hug from spain!
Alba Filella Hi and thanks for your comment. I'm very pleased to know that you enjoy watching our videos and have already tried some of our recipes. In regard to your question about the pumpkin: Unfortunately there is no specific way to know if a squash is ripe. Each squash has its own characteristics. Red kuri for example have a deep orange colored skin when ripe, whilst butternut squash tend to have e more hazelnut colored skin when ripe. I'm not an expert I'm afraid, but I hope this helps anyway. Thanks for watching ;)
We are happy that you found us :-) It is alway a pleasure to have a new subscriber who is passionate about our work. You are right, soups are loaded with bad stuff, not to mention the sodium level. To make soups restaurants, they regularly add 3-4 grams of salt per portion, which is quite crazy right? Thanks again for your support!
Coral Hardy Thank you for saying that. This recipe never became very popular only because it is a soup. However, it is no standard soup as it is packed with flavour! Thanks for watching
***** How nice of you to do that for your friend, you are very kind :) If you need any help with our recipes, make sure to leave a comment ;) Thanks for watching!
Thank you! I'm sure it gave it a good touch and you did well by using coconut milk. We frequently make changes like that to our recipes, as we love experimenting. Thanks or watching :)
It is not silly at all. How would you know the difference if you have never seen the two herbs together :-) When I was younger I used to believe that Parmesan cheese was a vegetable! You can surely use any pumpkin your prefer, but if it is a lot denser than the one we used, you might end up needing more stock. Regarding the dill, it is very different from the rosemary, but I'm quite sure that it tastes pretty good with the pumpkin, and I wouldn't be scared to try it :-) I hope this helps! Thank you very much for watching and for leaving a comment.
Hi and thanks for leaving a comment. Sure thing you can! However, the only issue is that if you do the other way round you won't obtain a smooth soup, as only the cooked ingredients are soft enough to be blended so finely.
Groovyg I can assure you that it won't be the same thing, but you can of course try. Even if you manage to blend everything finely with a Vitamix of other powerful blenders, you will change the nature of the dish and the taste will be different too. When you blend raw ingredients together, they react chemically, creating new flavour compounds which are not created by cooking the ingredients first and then blending them. I can assure you it will be a different result, but I can't say if it will be better or worse :-) My pleasure, write anytime you want!
Thanks for your comment. Yes, you might want to try that as it is a very good combination :-) Soups in general are probably the most “dangerous” food to eat in restaurants. A few years ago I saw a chef adding 1 cup of oil to a single portion of soup, just to make it tasty- unbelievable!
Sarah Gobin Thank you very much :) I hope you will enjoy the soup and also I'm sure you'll find that oil in soups in not really needed every single time!
+NorVegan Honestly, it's really delicious! And I'm not saying that because it is my recipe, but because the flavors are really well paired. Thank you for watching and for your comment
so i pretty much made the same thing except that the pumpkin was mashed and not blended, the onions were put in after the mashed pumpkin and not blended either, i used thyme leaves and black pepper instead of rosemary. i also added in a can of chick peas. i'm now seeking a healthier alternative to chick peas with less carbs, sodium, ect. any ideas? the alternative doesn't have to be peas or beans.
sawadee This is mainly due to the fact that there is no such thing as a "healthy" oil, for consumption anyway. Oils are 100% fat, whether it be EVOO, Coconut oil, Grapeseed oil, etc. All of their calories come from unhealthy fats, which are inflammatory, artery clogging and interfere with all sorts of bodily systems, including our hormonal system. Even though Vegans are firstly concerned about and fight for the ethical treatment of Animals, most are also concerned with health and longevity, so we like to exclude the things that harm our bodies. Longer and healthier lives lead to an extended amount of time we can fight for the Animals and the planet, that's how I see it anyway :)
No... fats are needed to our bodies and fats like olive oil, nuts, avocado and coconut oil are really good. Even your brain is made out of fat, our body is protected by fat.
Will it be ok to omit the rosemary? Also I read on your website that the vegetable stock could be substituted with water, However I am a bit curious if it would still give the same taste or if would it be less flavourful?
+The Vegan Corner My pleasure. It turned out great. I added a bit too much chili... but the day was very cold here, so it was amazing to warm up like that :)
+Jody Pope The only problem with rosemary is that it is incredibly bitter, so you just want to extract the flavour from it. However, if you don't mind a bit of bitterness, you can definitely chop it and add it into the recipe; it will simply impart a stronger yet still delicious flavour to the soup. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching
+Isa-Tube Thanks a lot for using our recipes :) So glad to hear that you and your family enjoyed this soup. Unfortunately soups are never very popular on this channel, despite we really like them a lot!
They really are! and I'm really needy for it since I cathched a cold :'D. Have a nice day! Almost forgot to mention that soon I'll be trying your pizza recipe too! ...going for the guru version!
Isa-Tube Ahah, thanks! Well, the easy version of the pizza is actually a perfect starting point. You can try that one first and then turn yourself into a guru later on ;) Enjoy the rest of your day.
pour in some fat free oil; which is water😂👌 ahh i love this guy
+BeeMelodii :D Thanks for your comment!
Hahahahahahahah yea and I also loved the pumkin and Rosemary being soul mates!! 😂😂🤷🏽♀️

Its so delicious, just tried it now even without the rosemary. My daughter liked it. 😍
yesssss !!! vegan recipes NO Oil... That's what im looking for. Thanks.
(mostly vegan recipes use oil... NO for me)
fransiscaveronica7 And not for me either :) No oil allowed on this channel (we actually used it a couple of times but it was only a few drops and it wasn't necessary at all.) Thanks for watching and for leaving a comment
The Vegan Corner great.
This is wonderful!! Thank you so much 🙏
I've made this today and it is really delicious, i added half a cup of canned tomatoes to the mix because my pumpkin was a bit too sweet and i don't like vinegar(also i tend to put tomatoes in everything:)). I love watching your videos
+Liana Simion Thank you so much for your kind words about our work :) I'm super happy to hear that the soup turned out to be up to your expectations.

It was heavenly, I didn't miss the fattening additions one bit. Luckily I will have plenty of leftovers for the next few days since I made triple the recipe. My father and his girlfriend loved it as well and they both went back for a second helping :) Thank you for this amazing recipe.

woah it looks like a dragon ball
Although it's June, I made this today on a bit of a cold day and it was so amazing. I used the herbs from my rosemary bush in my backyard, and I used some beyond chicken strips. Thank you for this recipe!
I thought I was going to die of laughter when you said "fat free oil, which is water" hahahahahahhaha
When you said "fat free oil" I was like "there's an oil on earth that's FAT FREE ? How do I not know this ????"

When you mix the ingredients for a few minutes, the soup becomes really hot.
So you can save a lot of time.
Fresh rosemary isn't available in my country, any alternative suggestion?
I want to make this pumpkin soup for my mom today
I'm so excited about Autumn! So glad you guys are still making videos despite your hardships! Thank you for sharing!
Love it! Love it! Love it! Didn't have my usual ingredients so I tried this recipe and I love the vinegar touch.... Thank you!
Where I live winter and fall last wayyyy longer than they should and the winters are gruesome! Can not wait to make all these yummy soups when squash is in season!😋😊😊
Lots of Love. Such a simple yet amazing recipe. The best part was non fat oil i.e. water.
Is my favorite 😍
Have you ever tried mixing sweet potatoes and carrots in it ? Tastes amazing
Looks delish. I have seen that squash at my market but haven't tried it yet. I will have to give this a go sometime. 👍😃

+sdara357 Thanks! And please, enjoy it :)
That squash looks like our butternut squash. Which I love butternut squash soup :)
That squash IS butternut squash :-) I wish Green Kabocha was available all year round :-( Have you ever tried it? Thanks for your comment!
I have not tried green kabocha, but I'll be on the look out for it this fall! :)
TallythePlantEater :-D If you do find it, let me know if you like it. It really tastes like chestnuts, a lot!
Hi, i just discovered your channel today,
I obviously subscribe and I just made your pumpkin soup today,is very delicious, thank you for sharing 😊
I must try.
Always love your fat-free oil :p
The Beauty Karma I'm in love with it too, especially because it is not too hard to find :)
Love Kabocha! When I make this soup I use a little bit of orange zest. It is a nice touch to an already delicious dish. Thanks for showing us how to cut out the fat, without losing flavor. Love the channel!!!

damla bozoglu Thanks for letting me know :) I hope you'll find other recipes to enjoy on our channel.
Might be a weird question, but can I use canned pumpkin or canned pumpkin puree for this recipe?
+Miriam Ebony That's not a weird question, not at all! :) I've never tried to use canned pumpkin so I cannot be sure. Why don't you give it a try? If you like the taste of canned pumpkin I can't see how the soup could turn out to be a bad one. I hope this helps

High on Fruit I was sure you knew that pumpkin already! You are French after all, so you must have a great palate :-)
I did love french food. But none of it is vegan, so it isn't worth the taste :)
High on Fruit I perfectly know what you are talking about, and Italian food is no better :)
Thank you for this recipe. I made this soup twice and it came out perfect both times. We eat a lot of vegan soups in my house and this one has already become a favorite. Made this but added some full fat coconutmilk to get a creamy texture, super easy and absolutely delicious!!
Looks sooo eeeeeaaaasy....AND delicious. Hope I'll give it a try soon :)
I hope that too :-) Thanks for leaving a comment and for supporting us!
Sure, you're amazing!! Keep it up! :)
Hanna Honey You are too kind :-) Thanks!
Wow, thank you so much. You video is very easy to understand and follow. Will definitely do this pumpkin soup on halloween :)
+Nae Hopisut Thank you for watching them and for your kind words :)
Looks very good! I'm happy I found a channel with low fat recipes. Most of the soups require a bunch of oil, but this one is just perfect! :)
Love it. Will make today. Thanks.
My dinner for today, but I'm also going to add potatoes, spinash and kael to this :D
+Nellie Schönbeck Sounds brilliant :) Enjoy it my friend and thanks for your comment once again.
Thank you for makeing my food alot more delicious :D
+Nellie Schönbeck You are very welcome, dear! ;)
Loved the simplicity of it. Thanks!
I have just made this and it has so much flavor and so easy to make. It will be a regular recipe for me. Thanks
Coral Hardy Thank you for saying that. This recipe never became very popular only because it is a soup. However, it is no standard soup as it is packed with flavour! Thanks for watching
I just made this and it was soooo Good! I added some cream cheese and it made it even better, but then it’s not vegan anymore😅
***** How nice of you to do that for your friend, you are very kind :) If you need any help with our recipes, make sure to leave a comment ;) Thanks for watching!
thanks you
The Vegan Corner can we get that green kabocha recipe now that it's in season, I've seen it here in southern Europe so I presume it's in the UK too?
We live in the UK too :-) There is no specific recipe for green Kabocha, this is the recipe we use for it when it is in season. Thanks for watching
Delicious! I used coconut milk instead of water to cook the onions, I think it gave it a good touch :-)
Thanks for the recipe!
Thank you! I'm sure it gave it a good touch and you did well by using coconut milk. We frequently make changes like that to our recipes, as we love experimenting. Thanks or watching :)
Would dill and a japanese pumpkin work the same? How silly of me to think dill was rosemary!
Fat free oil hahaha, love your channel so so much! Grazie for your hard work and amazing videos ♡
+hellogoodbyefuj :D Grazie a te! Very kind of you to watch our videos

Reina Paloma Thanks :) I repeated that one in a newer recipe, upgrading the joke a little bit ;) Thanks for watching

Could you do it the other way round by blending the raw ingredients and then cooking it on the stove?
Hi and thanks for leaving a comment. Sure thing you can! However, the only issue is that if you do the other way round you won't obtain a smooth soup, as only the cooked ingredients are soft enough to be blended so finely.
Even if you are using a high speed blender? I'll have a bash and come back and let you know how it goes. Thank you for replying!
Ok thank you.
This look's amazing, must try. Thanks for the recipe.
+Ms Elemental Thank you! If you do end up trying this preparation, I'd be very pleased to hear out it turned out for you :) Thanks for watching
this recipe sounds wonderful! i am grabbing a pumpkin now!
+Rashad Nagi Wonderful! I trust that you'll enjoy the soup :) Thanks for watching!
Yum! Im going to add rosemary next time. Great recipe!
Thanks for your comment. Yes, you might want to try that as it is a very good combination :-)
Soups in general are probably the most “dangerous” food to eat in restaurants. A few years ago I saw a chef adding 1 cup of oil to a single portion of soup, just to make it tasty- unbelievable!
This looks so yummy! Thankyou for your wonderful channel!!!
Taai02 My pleasure, I hope you'll try some of our recipes :)
Rosemary goes so well in soups like this! Great video!!
Thanks for watching and for leaving a comment. I'm looking forward to watch more of your lovely recipes :-)
Its look delicious. New friend here😊
Love this... gonna try it tomorrow as I'm doing a different soup everyday. .. will certainly try the water instead of my olive oil.
Sarah Gobin Thank you very much :) I hope you will enjoy the soup and also I'm sure you'll find that oil in soups in not really needed every single time!
This must be one of my favourite soups. Thank you ever so much for this recipe!
+MrAustinValentine o.0 whats wrong with chickpeas
Angelina Goes Vegan way too many carbs and sodium.
MrAustinValentine The carbs in chickpeas are perfectly healthy. And the sodium is not high as long as you don’t get salted in a can
Thanks for the recipe. I always keep the Pumpkin skins and roast them.
***** I tend to do the same, but now I have way too many roasted pumpkin seeds :D Thanks for watching
The Vegan Corner
He said SKIN and you said SEEDS!
Why against oil? many oils are vegan
sawadee oils chlog arteries, you can watch oil the vegan killer or i'd advise nutritionfacts videos on oil.
sawadee This is mainly due to the fact that there is no such thing as a "healthy" oil, for consumption anyway.
Vielen Dank für die Menschlichkeit Bemühen
Excellent soup! You are right the rosemary gives the soup a magical touch. Thank you 💜
Will it be ok to omit the rosemary? Also I read on your website that the vegetable stock could be substituted with water, However I am a bit curious if it would still give the same taste or if would it be less flavourful?
You can omit the rosemary and substitute the stock, but the soup WILL indeed end up less flavoursome.
Trying this soup today for the first time, fingers crossed :3 Thank you for sharing the recipe.
+Alien Dissection I hope you'll enjoy it :) Thanks for trying our recipe!
+The Vegan Corner My pleasure. It turned out great. I added a bit too much chili... but the day was very cold here, so it was amazing to warm up like that :)
+Alien Dissection Wonderful! Thanks for letting me know :)

"Fat free oil" LOL I love your humour 😂 and your recipes !
I am making this right now :)
row boat I'm very pleased to hear that! Please, let me know how it turns out
+The Vegan Corner it was delish and im making it right now again :-)
+row boat Perfect! :) I'm so glad that you enjoyed it! Thanks for letting me know
does grinding the rosemary make any difference in taste ?
+Jody Pope The only problem with rosemary is that it is incredibly bitter, so you just want to extract the flavour from it. However, if you don't mind a bit of bitterness, you can definitely chop it and add it into the recipe; it will simply impart a stronger yet still delicious flavour to the soup. I hope this helps. Thanks for watching
Revisiting this video because I'm making this (again!) tomorrow
+Isa-Tube Thanks a lot for using our recipes :) So glad to hear that you and your family enjoyed this soup. Unfortunately soups are never very popular on this channel, despite we really like them a lot!
Soo werid that they aren't that popular! I love soups and this one is my favorite soup of all time! Oh well, more for us to enjoy ;)
+Isa-Tube Exactly! Soups are such a perfect food :) Anyway, as you said...more for us to enjoy! ;)
