$0.02 thought on collections of any kind (yarn, trinkets, dolls, nuts and bolts etc) It's a blessing. And you can BE a blessing to others because you have something to share whenever there's a need. I can't even begin to count the times in my life that God has had someone bless me. And I sincerely know that He has used me to bless others too. With things just sitting around the home that somebody else would probably think it's inappropriate to "hoard." It is all in your perspective and part of the joy of having pretty things is to be able to bless others.

I do too. Recently I have MADE myself go on a yarn ban until I can finish some planned projects. It was a difficult decision, believe me!😅

Hey Kayla I love your yarn room! I have a yarn room in my bed a friend of my son’s gave me for free 2 truck loads full for free. I did not have any yarn left so I prayed to the Lord and let me tell you that he answered my prayer I love Jesus!
I know I am extremely blessed to be able to still do hobbies that I love. My days are so enriched by crochet, messing with plants, a little cooking and canning that I love, some coloring etc. But you mentioning your sewing machine just made me want to say, I think I miss sewing the most. Don't want to bore with medical details but I am unable to do that like I used to love so much. I could go on and on about things I loved to sew, but you know how it is with odd limitations. And again, I am so VERY thankful for what I can do - THAT I LOVE. just miss my sewing machine.

I remember the video you made when you and the little helpers came and help you coordinate your colors in that room.
Love that square with the yellow in the turquoise in the center. That would make a great big couch pillow for a gift. ❤❤❤
, Thanks for inviting us into your special happy place. I am so glad that you have a special place for your year. Are used to have a flirting room later turned into a quilting in yarn room. I sold my house several years ago and moved into a very small one bedroom apartment. So, I reduce my stash, and promptly started buying yarn again. I seem to be able to pack a lot of yarn into a small place. Well, that place needs to be completely re-organized, so you have inspired me to at least think about it. The good thing is that at night when I go to bed, I turn the light off and it all just disappears. I admit to keeping in bed with me so I can whenever I feel like it. I have a good life and neck for those times when I don’t want anything very bright.
I have a dear friend who is only large enough to cover the project. She is working on. Wow. I don’t think I could do that, but she is very happy with it and that’s fine.
In any case, enjoy arranging your room the way you wanted to be. And oh yes, you’re not the only one who reaches over unfinished project to get the yarn to start a new project. Ha ha. 0:24

LOL that Sassy can't let you be behindclosed doors, especially the yarn room. Good for you saying you won't be bullied over your yarn. No one should bully others over anything. Almost all knitters and crocheters have lots of yarn. We plan waaaaay ahead! 😂

I love it, it looks like my yarn room except yours is more organized. I had it all neat and pretty and then the cable people said they would need to come to my house to repair the problem I was having so I completely cleared out my bedroom where my modemis located, putting it into my yarn room. Well 2 days later a very smart lead tech repaired the problem without having to come to my home. I was happy I no longer had a cable problem but now I have two rooms in total chaos, I mean TOTAL CHAOS!! Then I some started having health problems and they are still in chaos. I hope to get them organized before I have to have ankle surgery because I will be off my foot for at least 6 weeks and facing rehab for another 2-4 months. So I really need it organized so while I am chair bound I will be able to access my yarn room to keep me busy crocheting while I recover. I tell my children that someday ALL this will be theirs, LOL😵💫Your WIP's bags are much like mine, my sister just shakes her head, she always finishes her projects. I have bags that need to be lined, sweaters that need arms, a couple that need to be frogged, some that need the ends sewn in, squares that need to be connected etc....Kayla it's your creative madness and it is nobodies business, you do whatever makes you happy.😍Kayla as you finish those projects you can place them in a tote wit. a price tag on them and maybe next year you and Jody could do another sale. I inherited my oldest son's room too, lol. Jealous people are miserable and love to spread misery to others. That's my take on anyone saying anything to another person on what they have. So stupid. When I was working, I bought yarn all the time. Now I'm retired and my income is quite a bit lower, but now I have more time to use all this yarn without needing the money. 🎉

A couple in that cotton basket would be great dish or wash clothes. I give them for wedding, birthdays, Xmas, etc. ❤❤❤❤
Kayla, I love your yarn room! I finally got a craft yarn room about a year ago. After the last of the 6 kids moved out. When I go in that room it brings me a crazy amount of joy❤ I decorated exactly how I wanted- light & bright with the white cubbies. I have a super comfy chair & a great light. I actually love to clean it up ( it's always clean😂) but I like to go thru the yarn & see if there's anything I need or can donate. My daughter was sitting in there with me the other day & was saying how my room is so comfy and she loves being in it. I too am blessed to have one. Thanks for the wonderful tour. ❤

I like pink and green also. Those were the colors my maid-of-honor and bridesmaids wore in 1965 with matching garden hats.
Those hats with curls and faces are adorable.

You ask the other day about if anyone else had a cat follow them around like yours. Well mine does sometimes. She lays behind my laptop on my desk. I have always had cats inside. I end up getting cats that are different. I don't know at the time they are different, I just find out later. My last cat had, I think it's called dew claws. It is a claw that looks like a lobster claw, one on the top and one on the bottom of the same toe. This cat I have now has a hangy mole in her ear. At first I thought it was a trick. Then seen it is just like a hangy mole on a person. I never knew they could have moles. But looked it up on line. I guess I just like wierdos.....LOL Love your yarn room. If I had one it would be all pink. I love pink! It is no ones business how much yarn you have but your Husbands and yours! God Bless!

Wow your yarn room is. Y YARN DREAM ROOM!!!! I’m working slowly on my wits before I start new ones bc then I get overwhelmed%!!! I love it!! It has helped me with my depression and anxieties! I plan to turn my living room into my yarn room and put a door to keep my fur babies away from my yarn .. love love LOVE YOUR ROOM!! Very relaxing!!! Tfs❤❤❤❤❤❤

If I had a room to put yarn in trust me it would be full to the max my husband always says I will never use what yarn I do have and I say we'll when the time comes I don't have to work I want have to worry about money to purchase yarn can't wait to see your finished project
Your room looks like a nice place to be. I don’t have as much yarn as you, but it feeling overwhelming for me. I like how you organized yours and made the space look great. After watching your video it helped me make up my mind what to do with my yarn. I too want a pretty place to craft in. I plan to be using up my yarn and only buy yarn for current projects. No one should make either of us feel bad for the choices we make regarding yarn. Enjoy your pretty room. ❤

I have a lot of started projects and I’m finishing them before I start new, then I’m using yarn I have for projects. And just order more yarn, for what I need to get done. I’m running out of places for storing yarns. And I’d rather buy when needed now. As I’m also doing other types of projects like, sewing and quilting! All fiber arts at the moment. I don't have a yarn room, but I have my yarn in totes in our basement and in the upstairs addition that eventually the totes will be moved somewhere else. Today, I'm still working on the crocheted blanket I've making for my sister.

Kayla, what a wonderful project. I can’t wait to see the final results. I wanted to tell you that I make random squares too. The difference is that most of mine are about the same size, although I use different size hooks. Sometimes the urge to just make a few squares comes over me so I just grab some scrap yarn and that’s what I do. Most areor some variation to them. It’s just fun who doesn’t like to make little squares?

You have to have several yarns to make a project. Also it is great to have several colors to choose from so you dont have to go to store unless you want to. Also they have different types of yarn some are wool some acrylic some a blend some cotton.
I dont have enough yarn to even think of organizing it. Probably 8 red hearts and a few tiny ice balls and a few carons in white. I dont know how y'all afford those beautiful walls of yarn. No bullying here. Just can't afford any craft stuff much at all since hubby had to suddenly retire. I had my years of expensive art supplies that grew legs and walked off and mixed media things. I wish now I had not spent so much. But it was good exercise walking the stores. And fun while I could do it. I love looking at everyone's color coded yarn walls anyway.😊

Great minds think alike. I have been gifted yarn over time, so I finally decided to go through my yarns and donate yarn I don't like the colors of or are leftovers from projects I finished and just don't suit the dolls I prefer to make clothes for. But I found I have yarn and crochet thread spread all over my room in boxes mixed up. Rolls eyes.
