Always fun to hear your thoughts! We change and sometimes what we thought we loved, we don't love so much anymore...or it doesn't fit anymore! I've gotten rid of a few patterns recently - it's like giving up on a dream when it came to some of them but I tried to be realistic.
Again, so so many patterns and most are lovely. I have a couple of the ones you are letting go, and I have to admit that they just don't work as they don't have any shape. Some of those shirt dresses you are keeping look just so cute. I like a good shirtdress. Looking forward to the next destash.

I am also in the middle of a pattern destash. And man, sometimes it's hard to let go. I own the same Simplicity pattern that you critiqued because of its high waistline and short jacket. You convinced me to get rid of it, since I don't feel like messing with it.

Oh Jen! The reason I have two copies of patterns is because I forgot I bought it already🤣 You have several I have too. Some of those full dresses can be belted. I don’t like belts now but there was a period that I wore lots of different belts.
So, I am on a shift/sheath dress kick! I am a thin rectangle with barely any curves and I am super comfortable in straight up and down dresses and I think (hope) they are flattering. I like flared skirts but will put them on and then take them off. It’s fun going through your patterns with you.
This is very inspirational- you have so many patterns. It’s useful to see how many you ditch because they weren’t a good fit for you or didn’t come together well. I tend to hang onto them thinking I will improve the fit sometime but of course I won’t! Also living in the UK there’s less warm weather so not so many opportunities to break out into a dress. Anyway - I must try harder to clear out my unwanted patterns ;) Great videos by the way. I always enjoy them. Thanks.

The dresses you are saying no to because of the waist are actually an under the bust style like an empire line.
