Hi I’m getting a miniature dachshund in October what do you recommend smooth hair

She is so cute!! •WARNING• just so you know! I have a small dog that loves to chew everything!! And I also love those rubber toys however I had no idea that our little chewers will chew strings off rope toys (that you can’t tell are missing) and they can get caught and stuck in their intestines! My little one got a string stuck and it was basically sawing back and forth her intestines as they were actively working to pass the string it was cutting her intestines! She thankfully ended up passing it with lots of support from our vet but if she didn’t the surgery was crazy expensive! Just figured I’d give you a heads up!! (I’ve had 3 dogs and she is the first it has happened too, but figured better be safe then sorry and share my experience!)

Longhaired dachshunds are the best of the three standard types for me. They tend to be much more "physically affectionate" than wire hairs, or smooths! Beautiful dog! 🙂

For the pull toys I suggest getting colored ones my dog Bella loves blue and yellow and it makes sense because dogs have dichromatic vision. when we first got her we bought colorless pull toys like yours then we got colored ones and she loved it

I use Price and Groom shampoo and conditioner. They smell so good and the scent lasts a long time.

As a lifelong servant of dachshunds, I’m really glad to see you stress the Houdini abilities and speed dachshunds use to escape! We must always be aware of that tendency.

WestPaw are the only toys my dogs won’t chew threw. We buy the large dental sticks and slide them through one of their toys. They fit perfect
I have the car seat for my two doxies & it’s the literal beat. They don’t know how to ride in a car w/o it. It also makes it east for them to hang out the window

cool stuff! She might also like an agility tunnel and/or a toy rodent (not necessarily stuffed) on a rod and string. Those two things may appeal to her breed's instinct to pursue varmints in underground tunnels and burrows.
My family has 2 dachshunds too and one of them is named stella! Long-haired as well!
She's is sooooo pretty oh my god. I have a weenie too, he's almost 1! He's a mix of smooth, long and wire hair so he's a scruffy dude. I wan't a little long hair friend for him just like your dog

I'm due next month for a baby💙 and my puppy only likes to be in my lap in the car and obviously this won't work out when baby comes along I've tried getting her to sit in a seat by herself but she always tries to crawl back to me I'm definitely getting this

BOTH ARE POWERFUL CHEWING AN OMG THEY KILL ALL FLUFFY AN CHLOE MUST KILL THE Squeak if it’s squeaks it must die and fluff is everywhere like a big pillow and I to have small little dogs everybody thinks my vehicle is still a puppy and she’s a year old but she’s a little girl! Thank you for your information I’m going back on Amazon
What do you feed her?? I have a long haired and he is soooo big. We don't give him treats and we are not sure why he has gained so much weight.

It's stainless steel, keeps cool, is dishwasher safe, and also pours and retracts the water. The "bowl" flips down flush against the bottle too!

Those “indestructible toys” will definitely get destroyed by a big dog even in a bigger size in fact non of this would work for a big dog but then again you are showing it for a small dog
You shouldn’t try to really use water that your dog doesn’t drink because there is bacteria in that water from their saliva the bacteria will build up inside the bottle especially in warm weather
