I always look forward to these. Would it be possible for you to post some of the charts for the various videos you’ve done etc? The budget ones, etc etc. Either way, it’s always fun to see what they do! I’ve had good luck with Protek in general. :)
Recently tried the RS700 and it’s impressive….even more so given it’s $100. Been really happy with it. Specs on the RS800 are close to the Holmes SHV-800(have a couple and are just fantastic)
Great videos and reviews as always. I’m wondering if you’ve ever gotten a hold of and tested a Zosky DS3235 Pro yet? It’s supposed more powerful than the regular DS3235.
Love your reviews! Something I've not seen a R/C channel do: Show how to set up a R/C workbench, and display/storage area for vehicles/planes and accessories. What do you think?
No hate intended, but some of these comments are right. No one can know everything, but if you're going to review tech you better get technical. These nerds don't mess around.
l have the 370tbl on my kraton ...reading the box it says futaba receiver doesnt work as good? after a huge landing l have no throttle for 1-2 seconds then everything is good again ? maybe you know what the issue is? Been running it for over 2 years though with no other issues cheers😅
a lot of guys running big servos don't run a BEC they wire directly to a 2cel lipo (tie the ground to your receiver and to the lipo split the power wire out and tie the power wire to the lipo so you can run the receiver off a 5~6v BEC and the lipo only feeds the servo i use a 1440~1600ma 2cell 40c+ just for servos on my R/C boat for races bigger 2200ma for just fun but that same boat also uses 4X 6S 10000ma main batteries to feed both 6798 bldc 190kv motors in a 2meter long boat that hits 90mph all day it takes 4x servos on two rudders to steer that thing all just as strong as that protek
I took a chance on a cheaper highend servo and I am totally sold on high end servos now. I got a power hd gts6 for $110, and I only run it at 6v steering because it is too fast. It seems like a newer unknown servo, I can't find any tests on the servo but they are used in 1/8th racing, it pops the servo saver extremely smoothly and feels as fast as the protek high speed bl. Only run for a few races. I would buy protek if mine broke but for the money I think it's worth a shot.
Hello, I have XMax with Leopard 870 kv and Max 5 esc. I have changed servo 2085x three times, and all the time it burned out. If I install 1KTBL Servo will it work on my car, or maybe I should change the transmitter on Max 5 ESC? Thank you in advance.
Off topic here but Francis can you tell me what might have happened to Gerry’s Old Guy review? He often mentions your channel and he has posted anything in months.
Nice looking servo! Thanks for sharing! I don’t really know why anyone would want to power a servo through a bec or receiver. Building a direct power harness is very easy and definitely the most powerful option.
By doing that you wouldn't maintain a constant voltage but? It would drop as the battery depletes as would servo performance, a bec can maintain a constant voltage.
Be very interested in a test of the 9imod BLS-HV51HV servo. @6v 41kg-cm 569oz-in, @7.4v 46kg-cm 638oz-in, and @8.4v 51kg-cm 708oz-in, directly powered from your BEC. Impressive specs. and super cheap, ip67, all alloy case BB and metal drive train.
Click bait, this is definitely NOT the strongest servo around, literally the Futaba a700 u reviewed last time is stronger, and the strongest standard sized servo for purchase right now is the NSDRC RS1, it pulls upwards of 1300 ounce inches of torque at 8.4v which outruns the 1ktbl and a700 by 200 to 300 more ounces!!
@@RCReviewChannel okay then, but review the Nsdrc rs1 as well, u will be surprised, guaranteed and also cuz for good content, nobody else has reviewed it yet and it deserves to have more fame
Your test rig is junk, you can see it bending and flexing all over giving horribly inaccurate results! Castle makes 10amp, 14amp, and 20amp Bec's... Having a channel like yours and being an rc influencer you should really step up your knowledge on products.
I'm not sure it's junk. It provides a consistent basis of comparison for all servos we test since everything is compared under the same conditions. Separate BEC's are available sure, but very few run those now because of wiring complexity and the advent of direct powered servos. If you know of another source of comparison data for servos, please share with us.
@@RCReviewChannel it can't be very consistent as it gives varying results and has give in its system of measurement. By definition it being able to flex and pivot the way it does its not consistent.
@@RCReviewChannel please show us a video of you testing the same servo let's say 10x and having the same CONSISTENT results... this certainly does give us a basis for comparing servos but is not an end all be all test. It's not conclusive as it's a very inaccurate test
What is your favorite servo for an 1/8 scale truggy?
Great review, as always 👍🙂 They look alot like AGF-RC's servos. Do you know if they are a rebrand of them? 🙂
I always look forward to these.

Test the NSDRC servo's. I decided to try one and it is all I will buy now. Price to performance is incredible.

Is protek among the best brands out there today?

You all missing out Nsdrc has the best servos , no better around I’ve tried them all .
For the money you cant beat NSDRC. I have a rs1 and it a freaking beast.

Power HD servos are one of the best of the Chinese Amazon servos. Good option

I have bought one and used on my trx4 . The response time is slower than futaba cb700
Can you test some Nsdrc servos
Castle makes a 20 amp bec, so yes a high amp bec is available.

Hey man, can you elaborate on that?
You mean direct power from your battery?
By doing that you wouldn't maintain a constant voltage but? It would drop as the battery depletes as would servo performance, a bec can maintain a constant voltage.
@@supbaby86 I do it on all of my 1/5 scale cars. Run a dedicated battery just for the radio gear. Works fantastic.. couldn’t be more powerful
I run my servos at a 3S lipo directly. Start voltage is 12.6 V. End voltage is about 9.6 V. Its always above 8.4 V.
Want to see nhx max6 servo test 6s capable
8.4v? Why are you not just using a 2S lipo???

It's posed as a question since it is a contender, especially with spec their spec claims.

I watched the video again, and did noticed that the base of what the servo pulls was loose. It’s not screwed in all the way.
