I remember as a kid my big sister coming home from a late night of clubbing. She was friends with the band. Back then Freestyle/House music was everywhere. She told me stories of LL COOL J showing up and how Madonna got boo'ed off stage when she sang Holiday. Miss ya sis, RIP Vanessa.
Love the club music era I had at least 3 to 4 show boxes full of club tapes enjoyed the 80s and 90s thus music was so way ahead of the time music today garbage
Excellent synchronization of synthetics! They're amazing talented guys. In 2023 still enjoying this song , nowadays aged 53 years. Good times... Thanks God for this life!
This is when clubs were really pumping and everyone danced. The Palladium, The Octagon, 10-18, New York City Clubs was the spots for live playing freestyle performances. The best.
My Favorite Group 10-18, Funhouse, Studio 54, Merlins, Garage, Emerald City loved them. I love the Music and would dance all night long. I am extremely fortunate to have experienced this awesome times. I love Freestyle it still lives
I remember coming home from school and my dad would be blasting this shit ...it would embarrass me in front of my friends..he was from the bronx where this music was huge..here I am 25 years later looking this song up so I can listen to it...i love you dad R.I.P.
And when he was playing it, it was little over a decade old, that's the weird thing that hiphop and urban music changed so massively in that time and probably sounded ancient, yet in the last 25 years since it hasn't really changed that much imo.
OMG The era of the garage, Studio 54, La Bonds all discos, dancing on acid and blow ALL NIGHT. The streets were not that great BUT no problems going home at 4 or 5 on subways, still feeling the music. WHAT AN ERA !!! Right now my feet are on retirement thats it, sorry to see it end.
I WAS A FUNHOUSE DANCER IN NYC AND NEVER DID DRUGS OR DRANK......My group enjoyed the music and had a wonderful time dancing and enjoying the night!!!!!!!!.
the comment above answers my wondering loll but I musttt know was coke really as popular as they say it was? literally sounds so much funnn, I can only imagine how one feels in a club with music like this and all lit up😅 a dreamm lol
See this is the type of music and that never gets old I have so many memories in this music and this just happened to be one of my 💓 favorites some times I wanna cry because we lost such a wonderful and great to era it's bc so sad how does anyone forget music like this impossible bring it back please
It's just ah, it's just ah, it's just ah, bad ass just jam that belongs to a few that were blessed enough to be at the right age and at the right place to enjoy it. Chicago, class of 87.
Latin Rascals used to Be DJs at Hot 97 remixed lots of songs. This was their best song by far. Tony Moran was a genius. Albert married Safire. Good old days.
The NYC WEST SIDE 104 POSSE HAD THE ORIGINAL REEL 2 REEL FOR THIS JAM. WEN THIS WAS POPPIN IN DA CLUBZZZZZ. YO GABRIEL YOU PUT THE. BLOCK ON DA MAP YA HEARD!!!
Absolutely the best! Grew up in Bushwick listening to this music and evading the law :-).....law almost caught up to me so then I reached for the stars ;-)
Before I even play the song it's a coincidence that everyone that passes by my window is rocking the bad colors what's up white what's up brown or cream what's up pink three you like that number
The Pet Shop Boys bigged up The Latin Rascals and the Latino guys worked on UK groups remixed like Hue & Cry - Sweet Invisibility (Latin Rascals Remix)
I don’t know where you kids think this is electro this is House Music. Take from me I spent my weekends in the Tunnel the palladium in the copa tha garage and every other club
