This is one of the reasons why Bollywood films are so different from other films because they always tend to incorporate songs and dances within the movies but they are not awkward or displaced. Indian classical music is not a singular style of music. And much of the classical music from northwestern India has a particular resemblance to Middle Eastern Music. Especially Persian style.
Blaze6432 Hindustani classical music, is what u refer to. Carnatic music is older and is not influenced by middle eastern culture
