The cheesiness of the 90s tour guides was the real charm of this tour! It felt so adventurous! 1996 was a great year for Universal! It had a plethora of incredible productions that had just wrapped, were being filmed or were in the pre-production phase! Great names in talent too!
The tram ride is fun. I remember the old stuff too. I think if they are going to keep the Jaws ride, they should update it. It's been the same since I first rode it in the 70's. People came out in shark suites to promote the brand new attraction and it was so exciting. Now, it seems a bit dated compared to the advanced Kong ride, Pets and the Harry Potter ride(which is amazing)! None the less, Universal Studios is pretty awesome. Happy 6oth!
They have changed Jaws (for the worse). There is a scuba diver instead of the guy fishing in the rowboat. Also the tram doesn't tilt towards Jaws anymore.
Happy 60th! I remember the Cylon base, ice tunnel, and the bridge falling apart! Great memories! They had guests play in a Star Trek episode on stage once if I’m correct and an airplane!! 😂

It's lame now. I experienced it in 82 when they had so much more cooler drive throughs with live actors. Also had the collapsing bridge, six million dollar man tunnel, Battlestar galactica, parting of the red sea.
I was so lucky too I get to experience the original studio tour back in 90s, when we had King Kong encounter the collapsing bridge. Those were the days
I visited back when this park first opened it was really fun 😅 but now these days they have so much more things that they have added I wish I could go back again 😮😮😮😊
So when they do convert their trams to electric. What will happen to the diesel engines?! Sold, thrown away in a junkyard?! Is it just the trams that are going electric or the VIP trolleys following suit?!
The fake tram car in King Kong doesn't work unless it matches the real tram. They should switch to the video from the Florida version. They use a safari truck.
Great Video, "Amazing" new Tram, however, this attraction is going to be closed until further notice, due to a recent, very recent tram accident that injured 15 Universal Park goers, involving these new "classic" glamour EV trams. Until a deep investigation to the incident is completed, this attraction will be closed.
I just got back and was disappointed we didn't swing by the clock tower either but they were filming on a few sets. The DeLorean was randomly positioned in front of the Lyon Estates sign just off the tram path pretty early into the tour. Doc Brown, however, was there right at the end when you get off the tram when the tour was over, and he was taking pictures
It's sad they messed up the residential street. There were lots of classic houses there which were in countless TV shows and movies. Looks like they made a prop dumping ground of the Bates Motel. For so many years Norman Bates loaded the body wrapped in the shower curtain into the trunk of the old Ford. The drive through vertigo tunnel has been closed for awhile. The bridge where that train is now, the trams used to drive across while it collapsed. Now they've gotten rid of the lake up at the top where scenes from films like Pirates Of The Carribean were filmed. Sad. And the cabin from The Great Outdoors is now stuck in the back of a bunch of other buildings. Universal is changing more to an amusement park rather than a working movie studio. I remember the simplicity of it all back in 1968 when we went there for the first time.
I agree☹️ they destroyed so many classic houses ( the Munster mansion destroyed). It’s also a shame to see them skip over so much like colonial street.
The new stop at the hotel is a bust, boring and just a waste of time. And don't get me started on how awful "The Fast and the Furious" still is. With their penchant for up charges, they should offer a tour that doesn't include that section.

The battlestar Galactica spaceship was badass. Coolest part of the tour back in the 80’s.

I went on the tour it was so fun, and the wait line wasn’t that long.
Hopefully the runaway train will do what it used to do in the future because it liked that section
10:06 a visit from Doc Brown!
I Love JUPITER'S CLAIM
I got to meet doc brown at universal studios
Why isn’t the shark fin working anymore on the jaws section?, the fin is supposed to come up and swim towards him
🤩❤️

Was Doc Brown temporary? We went today and it’s still the 60th anniversary celebration but we didn’t see this section at all.

@@andrewkline4764 The Munster Mansion was still there when I was at Universal Hollywood a little over 12 months ago. Have they torn it down recently?
